HP G60 CPU Upgrade

Hello Again,

My last project was successful for upgrading thanks to this forum.  I really appreciate it.  I have another laptop that I want to confirm an upgrade path for to create a Chrome OS / Chromebook.  Please take a look at stats below and let me know if this is the correct upgrade path for the GL40 chipset.

I was trying to confirm if any of these Celeron Dual Cores will work as it would be an upgrade from the single core that is in it.

Intel Mobile Celeron Dual-Core :
T1600
T1700
T3000
T3100
T3300
T3500

I was thinking of going with one of those if they are compatible.  Let me know and thanks again.

Hi Folks,

I appreciate if you guys can help me with the following request.

I have a HP Pavilion DV 2000 and I am upgrading the network adaptor to:

Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7260HM

I am getting and error 104 "Unauthorized network adaptor" in start up.

The existing card is: Intel pro wireless 3945ABG

Hi, I think there is a whitelist for display on this laptop, I would like to remove this display whitelist because I broke mine and the new one give me 8 beep which correspond to a not compatible display while it is the same brand, resolution, connector, nearly the same specs (only different constrast) and it's working in another laptop...
My dump is attached, I can't remember which version it is (I can't boot because of the whitelist).

I'm trying to find the way to unlock the advanced options on my BIOS but unfortunately I can't find the way, there any modified BIOS for this options? I want to install macOS X and I need to change several options.

Hello I have the acer predator helios 300 ph315-51. I will figure out how to use a spi programmer and soci8 clip to dump my bios. (Completely new to this but Ill make sure I know what Im doing first).
My request is to have every hidden setting unlocked, and if that isnt possible I would like specefically the advanced section (all settings) and unlock the boot options that way i can select legacy/bios instead of UEFI.
Is this possible?


Will Update post with bios dump once tool is delivered on the 14th or 15th.

Hello! What's up? I apologize for any mistakes I might make, but I'm new here on the forum. 

I have an ASUS ROG GL550JK and have had some problems solving the eGPU process with the GTX 780ti graphics card. I bought the DIY eGPU Setup 1.35 program, but I still can't because of ASUS restrictions. So I come here to ask for help to unlock the BIOS to disable the integrated graphics card GTX 850m and so I also have freedom to OC and undervolt. I'll leave some information below about the laptop and I'll also leave the last original version of the GL550JK BIOS.

Bricked (Hopefully Not) Dell XPS One A2010

I'm embarrassed that I have to come here for help, but that's where I am now.

I've bricked my Dell XPS One A2010 as a result of a BSOD during a BIOS update.  When I power it on, first the Play/Pause, Eject, and LCD Backlight buttons turn on and the system beeps.  Then all fans start spinning and the system steadily beeps.  It runs an AMI BIOS so I tried booting into FreeDOS with a flash drive to use AFUDOS ("afudos /im-010008 /jm-020006 /pb") to flash the two bios files, but I don't think the system is booting it on account of the beeping.  I also attempted this with a FAT32 240GB SSD and I still got nowhere.  Additionally, in one of the threads it appeared that the second file was the one causing me grief so I tried naming that AMIBOOT.rom but it appeared that the system wasn't even reading USB or the SSD.

I can tell no power is going to any USB ports because my USB keyboard remains dark when I power on the system.  As such I cannot press the home key.  Additionally, I have no idea if the wireless keyboard the computer came with can be trusted as I can't tell if it is still synced.  It doesn't seem to wake up when I power on the system, so that's a nogo.  

As I type this, I've just found a ROM Recovery Jumper, and when I remove it and turn on the system, the fans spin for a few moments and it shuts off, rinse and repeat.  Nothing USB related turns on so it definitely is finding an AMIBOOT.rom on the flash drive.  It also definitely isn't reading it from the SSD.  If the USB ports don't work and the SATA ports don't work, there still has to be a way to recover this thing given that there is a labeled jumper for it.  This is an AIO computer so it MUST be intentional.  The two methods of entry I haven't tried yet are the SD card slot and the CD Drive.  There is no floppy drive, and no PS/2 port.  There is a LPC Debug thing, but I have no idea how useful it would be.

I have a feeling that the name might be wrong or I might be using the wrong file.  The BIOS is flashed using two files, and I don't know which one is relevant.  Additionally, I can't find a download for Andy P’s SLIC tool, so I have absolutely no clue if AMIBOOT.rom is the right name to use.

Dell Optiplex 3070 SFF CPU TDP limit

Hi guys! Is there a mod at the Dell Optiplex Bios to lift the TDP limitation of 65W? In the 3070 SFF, the i9 9900 (65W TDP) runs without problems, but the i 9 9900K (95W) does not.
The power LED flashes and the PC does not start up. Dell also specifies 65W as the maximum. I exchanged the 200W power supply for a 260W power supply, so that fits.

I hope somebody can help me.

A hybrid graphics card is installed on my laptop, which is often switched by Windows 10. As a result, the battery is discharged very quickly.

For energy efficiency reasons (often on the go and only browsing and office program use), I only want to use the Intel IGPU and permanently switch off the Nvidia dGPU.

I am glad about any support
