i9-8950hk barebone mini-PC, AMI 5.12

Hello guys,

i bought a very cool barebones mini-pc which i knew has some power limitation limits and i wonder if the bios could maybe be unlocked. The bios is very restricted, like it would be a notebook.

The problem is, the mainboard (S200 series) seems to be from a company called SYWZ which i don´t find a website to download a bios from. I contacted the asian seller, maybe they can get their hands on the bios.

If not, is there a way to extract the bios without additional hardware?

bios recovery Acer Aspire 5 A515-51G

I ended up bricking my acer bios when trying to downgrade to a somewhat old version of bios. I had a black screen and nothing was working.

I tried to recover through the USB pendriver. I tried flashing the USB with the isflash.bin file. I also changed the file name to BIOS.bin, BIOS.fd, C5V01118.fd, C5V01118.bin, isflash.fd and a few others, but with no success.

I opened the bios with UEFItool and located the name as C5V01X64.fd, but it still did not work. I turn on the fn + esc button, the fan turns very fast, but it does not give a signal.

Dell Vostro 15-3568 AMI-BIOS Unlock

My system is a Dell Vostro 15(3568)

My config(Dell pre-installed, same MB comes with other configs too):

CPU-> Intel Pentium 4415U, KabyLake - 2 cores 4 threads @ 2.30 GHz    ---- BUT IT RUNS AT 2.29 GHz
GPU: Integrated Intel HD Graphics 610
RAM-> 4GB DDR4 1rX16 2400 MHz
HDD-> ITB 5400 RPM 2.5 inch laptop hdd

Requests:
1) Kindly make the CPU run at 2.30 GHz, even with C-states off in BIOS it runs at 2.29 ghz, only sometimes at 2.30 ghz

2) On BIOS info page it says lowest processor speed is 0.40 Ghz, but it never clocks down to 0.40 ghz even with no load in windows power saver plan it stays at 0.70 Ghz.... Check the CPU multiplier values for Pentium 4415U

3) Speaker volume increase pre-amp/override possible in BIOS?

4) On power on, it takes quite some time to show the Dell logo. Can't we make it faster?

5) When system is in sleep, there is no indication.
    Only one chasis LED is there- white & amber.
    Can you make it glow/breathe or blink while when system is in sleep mode?

6) Any other settings unlockable?

ASUS P5KC - GTX690 incompatible BIOS

Hi!
I have a ASUS P5KC and i want to upgrade with:

CPU: Xeon 5450
VGA: GTX 690
RAM: 16GB DDR3 2X8GB 1333Mhz

But i have a issue with this bios
I can add CPU id on bios for XEON but when i try to install Nvidia Geforce 690GTX can´t be enable, Show me on windows10 a error i need to update a bios fo acept this VGA.


Any one know how to add VGA ID on bios?

Rampage II Extreme 2101 Bios mod

Hi!

I'm glad I came across this forum. The Asus support can't help me out with this, so here's my problem.

This is the latest Bios for the Rampage 2 Extreme motherboard:

Every time I wake up my PC from S3 sleep the CAS# latency is set to 6 instead of 8, what it should be. Also the Row Refresh Cycle Time (tRFC) is reduced from 88 to 74. This leads to nasty bugs and makes the S3 sleep useless, while S1 does work properly.

The other feature that's bugy is the Load Line Calibration. It is either on or off, there are no options to scale it - which I guess is intended but it pushes  VID much too far - there is no vDroop or sag at all, it just pushes Vcore 0.05 V above the VID set. I wonder if there is a way to optimize the LLCs' behavior to actually hold the voltage set or sag just a little so I can OC a bit further.

My system specs are:

CPU: Xeon X5675 Rev. B1 @ 200x21 @ 1.31 V, LLC pushes to 1.36 V
RAM: 3x 2GB  Corsair Dominator 1600 MHz 8-8-8-24 @1.65V
MB: Rampage 2 Extreme Rev. 2.xx
NB: x58 Rev. 12
SB: ICH10R Rev. 00
GPU: GTX 960 2GB
PSU: Thermaltake Cologne 730 W


Maybe you guys can give me a hand.

[QUESTION] V-P7H55E vs P7H55-M bios compatible

Good morning and happy Easter everybody.

I notice that both of the motherboard mentioned in the subject look very similar (miniATX form), not equal (only some chips position), but they have different bios. The first one, V-P7H55E, is part of a barebone pc desktop without any possibility to get more option in the bios; instead the second one, P7H55-M, has lot of options.

So my question is: if i force flash the bios of the V-P7H55E with the firmware of P7H55-M, will i have a bricked motherboard ??

Hi Guys 

Can somebody help me. I got the Sabertooth Z77 tried your mod bios and build one myself. But since my knowledge only goes as far as "follow an manual" can somebody build a bios that actual works with my nvme. I can't get it to show up in my bios or in the Disk Utility screen.

after I dumped the bios rom using AFUWINGUI.EXE and opened it in AMIBCP, I do not see any other tabs Except for the BIOS features

which is wierd because the example rom file shows the other tabs like setup configuration, PCI, BIOS strings, DMI tables and also the BIOS features. But mine doesnt, even though I have a very similar laptop to the one in the guide (non 4k ghost pro)

Can someone help me please?

EDIT: I realised that I wasnt using the correct version of AMIBCP.exe as my bios is an Aptio V. The files provided in the guide was for Aptio IV
