[Request] Lenovo U430P Whitelist Removal Please

Hi guys,

would anyone be able to help me to get whitelist removed from my BIOS on my Lenovo U430P non-touch? I ve bought a new Intel 7260ac to replace my old 2.4GHZ. All IDs can be found on this photo.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7a7-T...FpaUEdFSkE

The card in the MB is the old one, the one below is the new one. I tried to put it in and unfortunately it does not pass the whitelist.

I have also exported my current BIOS using Universal BIOS Backup Tool 2.0 if that helps. The export is here.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7a7-T...HR6SW03RXc

My current bios is 7CCN62WW.

Lenovo downloads
http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/cz/en/produc.../downloads
http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/cz/en/produc...s/DS100450

I tried searching around the forums and I found couple of threads related to Lenovo U430P, but found nothing directly downloadable. Not sure if it is even possible, but hopefully it is. I get a lot of interference with my Bluetooth so I need to switch to 5.4GHz ideally.

Any help is appreciated!

[MICROCODE UPDATE REQ] ASUS M2N-SLi DELUXE

Hello,

When I returned from holiday, I realised my old ASUS mobo doesnt work anymore, so I bought ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe, installed latest BETA BIOS, which should support  AM3 CPUs, but my PC doesnt POST. Just blackscreen. After I looked for supported CPUs for this board, I realised, that all CPUs from Athlon II X3 lineup are supported, with exception of mine.

I would like to ask, if someone could make BIOS with updated microcode.
Materials: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3bA26...mM0R3FDRzg (Screens from CPU-Z, BIOS I would like to update, photo of my CPU).

my CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 450 RANA
I am sorry for making screens with 1701 BIOS instead of beta 5001, hope it doesnt matter.

Thanks for help !

Dell Inspiron 7348
Alright so the entire reason i want to modify the bios at all is so this m.2 a+e key to pcie x16 graphics card adapter works with my dell inspiron 13 7000 laptop.
So from what i've read so far i assume that its got a whitelist for devices that can be used in its m.2 e keyed slot.
Right now there's an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 card in that slot and m.2 has the pcie protocol that it uses.
Nothing at all comes up in windows but the graphics card powers on with the laptop (must have recieved some kind of power signal), so im reasonably sure this must be the issue.
So i would very much appreciate an unlock for whitelist and advanced bios options (for pcie control).
Thank you in advance

I also opened the bios file from dell's website in phoenix tool 256 and checked for the "decrypted" line in the log.
It wasn't in the first line or any other. So i don't think its rsa signed but its a 2014 laptop so idk.

Laptop processor upgrade (general concepts?)

Hi.

Could someone experienced enough give me some answers please?

I want to switch Pentium B960 to i3 2328m on a HM-70 chipset.
Problem is laptop restarts each 30 minutes or so after that.
Downgrading back to B960 fixes this problem.

So it could be:
1 damaged CPU unit (think its not - same results on another i7 unit)
2 some vendor`s ME built in limitations
3 result of BIOS microcode missing for i3

So my questions are:
1 could wrong/missing microcode cause 30 min power interruption restarts?
2 is there a way to extract microcode from Linux *.dat containers (or convert them to bin)?

Learn how to bios mod?

Hello. My name is william and currently i am 16 years of age. I have thrived at computing since my early days and built my own computer when i was 12. But that's not what we are talking about today.

I recently found this forum and thought it would be fun to attempt to create a bios mod. I do know that bios mod creation would probably involve knowledge of low level languages like C or assem (See, I'm not a complete normie). I do have previous experience with java. Even though that wouldn't help me out atall in area.

Anyway i figured i'd buy a computer. So i bought a Dell Latitude 2100 off of ebay for like 30 bucks. So it doesn't matter if I end up destroying it in the process of trying to learn how to do such things.

I'd just like someone to cover the basics on bios mod creation and how they work. I'd very much appreciate it.

Trying to figure out if a cpu is supported on my laptop

Hey guys!

I'm a happy user of a Dell Vostro 3450 currently equipped with an i5-2410m.
I replaced its HDD with a proper SSD and added some memory.

I think it's high time I go for a cpu upgrade (I'm drooling over the i7-2960xm).
As far as I know all dual core Sandy Bridge are supported but I can't find anything about quad cores apart from the intel ark information about the HM67 chipset compatibility list (https://ark.intel.com/products/52809/Mob...ss-Chipset).

I'm not really concerned about cooling or power, I have the laptop on a stand with a 200mm fan and cut out the chassis. I also replaced the thermal pads and paste with high grade arctic cooling ones. I'm about to buy a 150W power supply to replace the 90W that was shipped with the laptop.

I tried to open the BIOS and could extract the EFI structure but I don't know how to read the files that seem related to the CPU.

Here is the BIOS I'm using at the moment modded A13 (thanks to HairyCube and TimeWalker for the mods btw!).
The orginal Dell BIOS is A13.

If you could help me figure out how to find the support cpu list it's be grateful! Big Grin

Thanks a bunch guys!

bbye

Antoine
