Could someone unlock bios for K52JE?
I would like to see if there is anything related to integrated gpu as it does not show in my system.

Im looking to make gpu passtrough setup with this laptop on Linux.

Hi

Is there any solution to change the product ID of an HP G7 to use the recovery?
I changed the motherboard with another model and recovery is not happy with that.
I tried MbDmifit and it doesn't work.


Any idea?

[REQUEST] Modified Toshiba Sat Pro R50-B-12V (PSSG0E) BIOS to enable on/off AHCI

If there's any possibility in generating a modified BIOS to enable an on/off option for AHCI that'd be great. 

Having real issues imaging this Toshiba model, so much so, BartPE won't load due to the inability to turn AHCI off...

If anyone knows a workaround please share ;D

I'm working with an ancient HP NC8230 running Win XP in order to support some ancient hardware/serial port. It is what it is...at least it's not steam powered.

This beast uses Mini-PCI (full size!) WiFi cards; my selection is quite limited. I've got a Atheros AR9223 sitting here which I'd like to get going, to support N speeds. Unfortunately, I'm dealing with this Whitelist nonsense Sad

Hey guys,

I would like a little help from Bios gurus.

I've got a Shuttle SX79R5 and a E5 2670 v2 ES QDNR

Unfortunately I don't have another LGA 2011 CPU to test it but I'm pretty sure the issue comes from the CPU wich might be dead or the microcode missing from the bios.

The computer start, screens stays black. 

From the seller, the bios should be the latest from Shuttle wich is SX79R000.201

Could one of you check if the microcode is missing ?

T430 BIOS dump and ME binaries?

Is it possible to read the BIOS of this machine without a hardware chip? Is there a working backup tool?

I'm attempting to build coreboot and am having some issues getting the descriptor, gde, and ME binaries. Are those binaries signed to individual machines, or can I save myself some time and rip them from another T430 board I have lying around?

Asrock Z170 Extreme4 logo change

Hi I am trying to change my bios logo on Asrock Z170 Extreme4, I used to do that with ChangeLogo program version 4.55.0.57. 

My custom picture that I wont to put is same size, dimensions everything is as it should be, and I do this on regular basis on other boards like H110M and everything works fine on them, but it looks like on this new version of bios 7.xx on this board bios logo just won't change. Can someone please help me change it and give me the name of program that I need to use to change it on this version of bios, thanks.

Hi!

I would be deeply grateful if anyone of you could help me out here. Since I'm too novice I would't dare go into BIOS editing as of yet.

I have a ASUS ROG G20CB with the following motherboard H170-p/G20CB/DP_MB. Chipset is H170 and CPU socket LGA 1151. 
The CPU I want to install is a Core i7-7700 (3.6GHz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, Intel HD 600 series, 65W, rev.B0). This motherboard is a small form factor one but I have seen that Asus has added support to their other ATX MB's with same chipset H170 for this processor.

My thoughts are that maybe this one could be a good donor BIOS, it's from the H170-PRO.

I did make a try to install the i7 7700 3,6 ghz CPU, the computer booted but nothing at all happened not even the UEFI BIOS showed up.

The CPU that came with the computer was an i7 6700 skylake 3,4 ghz.

So what do you think guys and girls is this possible to solve?  Smile

MSI CX61 Unlock bios not flashing?

So Im trying to unlock some hidden settings on an MSI CX61 with AMI Bios and need some helpful guidance.

I use AFUWIN to save a Rom file of my Bios, and I opened the Rom file with AMIBCP. I change all the settings I want from default to user, then save the modified rom. I put the rom file on a usb drive formatted to fat 32. When I try to flash through the usb, I get a message saying "Failed, wrong image Fortmat".  

I tried the original bios file and it works fine, but after I modified it in AMIBCP it doesn't work. I also tried Flashing through AFUWIN, and it gives me "error 18: Unable to start a Secure Flash session. 

Can anyone tell me how to get this done correctly, or if there is a better way that actually works for AMI Bios.



I didnt change any of the settings here on AFUWIN
