[REQUEST} Primary Graphics Adapter. Need to open this option in Aptios 5.0.1036.

Hello I want to be able to turn off my HD4600 intel card and activate my Nvidia GTX 860m on y Asus Gl551jm-dh71 laptop. 

The Bios is Aptios 5.0.1036 EC Version F02s090001

HP 8710p bios modification - fan at full speed after flashing

Hi guys and girls Smile

I chose that kind of title because I know there might be more people with the same issue trying to find solution and may be they will find it faster if here will be the solution.

Well after days of searching in google I found out that I did a irreversible mistake and flashed the bios to the newest version F.20 and I guess it is nothing which I can fix by myself easily so I though I could try to get help here =) even I know chance is very low but better to try instead giving up.

Situation:
I got the HP 8710p as a present and I thought: "Well, lets fresh that thing up and have fun" and I installed the newest bios on it  Rolleyes yeah I know who is so stupid and flashes without doing some research? Me! ^^ I know it's my fault. But I am human and make mistakes - well I learned from this because I never encountered such thing. HP seems to have a great sense of humor or paid the programmers so bad that they decided to pay it back to the customers for what ever reason. There is no explanation or logical reason for such an stupid bios update which restricts one to flash back and they even don't think about to give a fix.

What is the problem:
The fan is running the entire time on full speed. Before that patch it was so quiet and so awesome because the fan just started to spin up if the cpu heat goes up over a certain temperature. Now it's on full throttle - for no reason!

Possible solutions:
Well my reasearch with google brought 2 possible solutions - a) sell it / throw it away or b) buy a bios chip and solder it on the board. Well I think there is a third solution and that needs someone with knowledge and skill which I unfortunately don't have - bios modification.

I am here and seeking for help because I think that here could be that one person or a team who has enough skill to perform that task and if not it was worth trying. I saw many awesome work here Smile

My opinion:
I guess somewhere in the bios are the settings stored for the fan control which. I don't think that it is a hidden setting in the bios which has to be unlocked. It is hard coded values for the response of the fan to the cpu heat / threshold - so if someone is able to manipulate that and put it back in to the installation routine then it might work with a reflash with the modified bios.

The bios is surely rsa encrypted - another epic move from HP (and other companies) to show how one can frustrate his customers. I guess that is the reason why I am not able to find the value in the hex-information of the files.

Finally:
Yeah I know I could kill my bios when I use a modified bios. I have nothing to lose only to win Smile

I am not sure if I am allowed to link here but the bios files are easily to find over google.

ASRock Z77 Pro 3 - Reboot suddenly & lost Bios Boot options

Hi

My friend has ASRock Z77 Pro 3 and he has One SSD 128GB in Sata III port and 2 Western Digital 1Gb in Sata II.
In SSD he has install Windows 10. Before one month he installs Windows 10...its fresh installation.

The problem now is that Suddenly pc shut down and then it cannot find SSD disk to boot.
I try to re-order in bios boot menu and then everything is ok.

Maybe it need to RestoreBios to default..... and also Reset CMOS?

Let you know also that when he change SSD from Sata III (1 port ) to Sata III (2port) also lost boot order and search to boot from
Sata II ports that are install Western Digital HDDs

I  think that he has latest Bios!

and did this command

Hi all,
I want to use my new intel 622ANHMW 6200 6200agn but I get my reject error message 702!

How can I come over this problem ?

It seems that the ROM is encrypted with RSA, in the original sp55430.exe there is an file called 01439.fd, the encrypted bios


If I had a decrypted version of this file I could patch the file with my card new Hardware ID's but so, no chance.

I found a tool called Phoenixtool256, it produce the file 01439.fd.DEC but if I view this file it look not like a decrypted ROM file. It produces also an dump directoy with a lot of ROM files, that looks definitly decrypted but I don't now how to go on with this files to produce a new ROM file.

Maybe some one here can help me, that were nice.

My ROM-Version is F.48 11/09/2011

XPS 710 request!

I have an XPS 710 with a modified h2c kit and a gtx 670. I have a sever bottleneck in my CPU, and this one is a great overclocker. This is one of the first Dell to have the option to enable overclocking, although it is software dependant. Please help and unlock the bios! It is a modified 590i chipset which won't be amazing, but anything is better than what I have! Even if the ram ratio could be unlocked would be major, which in turn in theory would allow my CPU to oc to 4.0. Thanks!

I'd like to know if it is possible to unlock hidden options in the bios of my laptop in order to disactivate EIST (enhanced intel speedstep) to get better performances for real time streaming of audio data (mix performance with asio drivers, technics sl 1200mk2 and external soundcard)... in your download folder, the sp55430 is also for my notebook type but I see several bricks with this flash, and I'm a bit afraid to start this flash.

Is this flash working for my notebook? Maybe someone had this running on a G72-b02sg.
How can I prepare a usb stick to reflash the latest bios in case of a brick/semibrick to bring back my notebook to life?

I wan't to use my new WiFi card but with the actual bios F.48 from HP I can't use it.

Please can somebody help me

I own an HP 15-aw004ng and I would like to have the bios modded so that I don't have a error 104 conflict upon POST.

The reason:   I am planning to use an eGPU that connects to the NGFF slot (where the WLAN card is).

Take as much time as you need to do the BIOS modding.

Hi

It's great to be apart of this forum first off, it seems like an active and warm place for newcomers.


I've been searching quite literally, for three days for a solution to my RAM problem (4gb total, 1.6gb usable). I've exhausted every other avenue, and now I am left with the most likely (and at least to me) the hardest option to explore, using the advanced options in bios to try to free up the 2.4gbs of 'hardware reserved' memory. I have no advanced options for the version of bios I currently have, and would very much appreciate being able to access them to try fix the issue.

I've exhausted all other options and spent a ton of  time trying to find the modded version of the bios but couldn't Sad . Hopefully this gets seen and is able to be sorted, I swear I'm going loopy over all this.. Thank you for your time and consideration

Modding a Supermicro BIOS for Overclocking

It is impossible to mod a Supermicro BIOS to make it overclock clockable CPUs  - at least this what everyone keeps telling me

I have a Supermicro X8DTI-F with 2 x X5650s .  My mission is to find someone, somewhere, to mod, hack or re-write this BIOS so the system can overclock CPUs. I've found a few places that seem to indicate it's possible (https://linustechtips.com/main/profile/4..._pfield_46) , but the trail always runs cold.  Is there someone on here that can confirm what the deal is with this, can it be done?? (I'm talking theorectically can it be done)
