Gigabyte 775 Xeon Support

Alright, so I'm trying to do the LGA 771 to 775 mod. I've got a Xeon X5472 and a Gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2 board. The only issue is getting a modified BIOS to support the microcodes. The site only lists an update tool, but doesn't provide a ROM file for adding the microcodes into. Does anyone here either know a way to add the microcodes without modifying a BIOS ROM, or a way to repack their strange proprietary files into a ROM format? Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Asrock Z170 Extreme4 logo change (Solved)

Hi I am trying to change my bios logo on Asrock Z170 Extreme4, I used to do that with ChangeLogo program version 4.55.0.57. 

My custom picture that I want to put is same size, dimensions and everything is as it should be. I do this on regular basis on other boards like H110M and everything works fine on them, but it looks like on this motherboard it just want change.I tried with bios version 3.30 and this latest 7.20 and nothing. Can someone please help me change it and if it's not a problem give me name of program that you change it with, thanks.


SOLVED:
Graphic card was problem to be precise 1050 Ti Inno3d it force legacy startup, when I remove her boot logo was the one that I flash, card was replaced with gainward 1050 Ti one.

Shuttle XH97V barebone and i5-5675c broadwell cpu

This is not a proper request since I don't have access to the hardware yet. Still I have a good deal on both the barbone and the cpu. Problem is that shuttle have not provided a bios for the h97 express motherboard with broadwell support. My question is if you guys think that there is a chance to get them working? I have no experience in this field and this may very well turn into a request later where I will provide any information you need.

Shuttle have actually made mini computers housing low power versions of broadwell, but I doubt they would be much help since they are not socketed.

Hi all,

i bought this mobo from aliexpress: chinese x58

the motherboard working great with an Radeon r7 265 but it refuses to boot with my new rx 580.
I was able to dump the rom with AFU, here's a link: x58 dump.
and that's a screen shoot with the AFU info:

I was wondering, can bios be unlocked to change CL timings or all advanced settings.

Default bios supports CL11 ram, but I want to use CL9 ram. Is it possible ?

Yoga Pro 2 , cannot boot after changing from UEFI to Legacy

Hello,

I changed the Bios setting to use Legacy  from the UEFI and now i keep getting this message " No bootable device - insert boot disk and press any key".  I tried creating a bootable USB using RUFUS tool with different options within it and with different ISO OS'es  like Windows 8.1, Windows 7 and UBUNTU .

How can i get into BIOS to change the setting back.  The laptop was upgraded to Windows 10 and the NOVO button doesn't work , maybe the partition that shows the NOVO menu is not accessible or is deleted.

Questions about what is in the Bios Repo

Hi all

I am new here and am trying to enable use of an external gpu on my HP G62-234DX with Insyde f.37(sp52604) bios and have a few general bios modding questions.

1.      I see in the bios repository (which is awesome by the way) that a menu unlock bios exists for sp52604 but it is listed as “sp51604_142xOnly” will this work on my laptop? I am not sure what the” _142” refers to.
 
2.      The above bios is also listed as a Ulk Menus, will this just enable the advance menu tab? I believe my problem is due to my bios having a white list for pcie cards. Which is the method I want to connect my egpu with so do I need a bios that specifically removes white list?

Hello, can someone kindly help/provide me with a unlocked version of the hidden/advanced pages in my Dell Vostro 3750 BIOS? Mainly the UEFI (if possible the UEFI boot priority) and CPU features, performance and timing. I have found the A13 bios on this forum but the new A14 bios addresses the “issue when system resume from S4 automatically after upgrade to windows 8”. The BIOS is attached to this post.

CPU Upgrade

I have an HP Envy DV6-7213nr. I have been considering upgrading the cpu to a faster one, but I am not sure what is compatible with my motherboard. I currently have the AMD A4 4300m installed. I was considering either the A8 4500m or the A10 4600m. Does anyone know if either of these can be used, and if so would they make a noticeable difference in performance. I have already added 4gb of RAM to the system and have a Samsung SSD waiting to be installed.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
