[REQUEST] HP Pavilion DV6519tx Unlock, WL Removal, etc

Hey all,

I'm just posting this thread to kick start some possibilities on an "ULTIMATE" bios for the Pavilion DV6519tx and related laptops with the same bios (HP F.5A bios or other wise referred to as '30CCF5A.WPH'.

Here's what I know so far, I have already had great input regarding a 'Whitelist removal' for my laptop, with the help of "TheWiz" and "sovem" (link 1 below). I'm yet to try it, but I was keen to get a head start on this. Then I read a couple of threads regarding 'AHMED HOSSAM's' work (link 2 below), And I figured a couple of these mods could be mashed together, including CPU mods, and whatever other inclusions that can be thrown in, like adding functionality to those hidden menus that where empty (read link 3!).

I'd like to make it worth every ones while if it can be done (If not contribute to the effort that may have already been done).

If you need motivation, just stick it to the man (HP), for making an awesome laptop and then [censored] everyone on longevity and functionality.

Hi there,

I am new to modding bios so am looking for any help i can get.
Any info would be much appreciated and if someone has made a similar request or post please let me know.

I am running an Hp pavillion m7480n, asus p5lp-le (emery) mobo with phoenix 3.19 BIOS, running windows 8 (64bit)

I currently have a pentium D 930 presler 3.0ghz and am looking to upgrade to a core 2 duo 6700 a friend gave me.

this is my current bios version:

i think this bios has support for the processor i am looking to add:

these are different iterations of the same p5lp-le board. The mobo i have should be able to support the chip as same socket, bus, cache etc. i think its just a bios version limitation but im not 100% sure.
Anyways hope someone can help!

Hi,

I need a mod to change the keyboard behavior.
There is a setting in the BIOS, Hotkeys Mode:

When Hotkeys Disabled:

Both options give me big problems in using the machine
What I need is:

I have extracted my BIOS using Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0 and I would be happy to pay a fee for this service. Thank you!

Pheonix add cpu support

Hello, this is my first post, I have a lenovo b590 laptop with Phoenix BIOS. I upgraded the CPU starts getting into windows ... etc. .. The problem is that after exactly 30 min closes. The problem is that the BIOS does not support the new processor, there is a solution? A mod for bios? Thanks.

When I install new wifi card into PCI slot, on Windows F8 menu, in Device Manager, a new card is not visible even as an unknown device
I originally got the laptop without the module wifi, so look ven dev and can not, but enclosing screenshot whitelist.

First of all.
Sorry for my bad english, i didnt know how to explain my self, so didnt kick me Smile

My Laptop: Acer Aspire 8930 and i updated my Bios to version 1.21 VT-x enabled and SLIC 2.1 but two problems arent solved:

#1 My Bios didnt Support 8Gig Ram but it was possible (google) so i have to use 1x 2GB plus 1x 4GB also 6GB of all (Need help here)

#2 Some hidden options wont be useable so i want em Smile

#3 Im suposed to use a Q9000 quadcore except of my T5XXX Dualcore ?

Hi,

I got used EasyNote TM98 mb (BIOS V1.10) for my (broken) Acer Aspire 5741 laptop.
Mb is same but bios isn't (obviously). Just Installed Win7 x64 and used Acer drivers, everything works fine except FN-keys (installed LaunchManager Dritek).

Can I flash original Acer bios (V1.15 Winflash_NEW70115) to Packard Bell EasyNote TM98 mb?

I have an issue with my board that I cant figure out (no, its on the CMOS batter or bad Bios chip).

My board always detects "New CPU" on boot forcing me to keep default settings (no overclock possible). Can this feture be bypassed safely? Willing to pay first modder that can provide a bios that fixes this issue.

Where is the Embedded Key Embedded?

Hi all.

I came across a strange phenomenon.

The short question is that all "user" sections cannot be rewritten even with a generic flasher.

My new laptop came with Windows 8 preinstalled.
Obviously it has a Windows 8 product key embedded "somewhere" because it does not require me to enter a key even when I use a retail (not recovery) disc for clean reinstallation of Windows and RWEverything always shows as an MSDM report an identical single key.

I recently disassembled my laptop to find the bios chip directly soldered on the system board. The IC is a Winbond W25Q64BVSSIG and has a capacity of 64 Mbit (8 MB).

The laptop manufacturer has released a bios update for my one and it can be expanded into several files including a .rom (size: 8,388,608 bytes) and a Windows flasher.

The rom size was found exactly equal to 8.00 MB and I wanted to rewrite ALL sections (just out of interest or curiosity).

The most reliable method for that would be romoving the bios chip from the mainboard to reprogram it on an IC programmer connected with a pc. Unfortunately the chip is not socketted and I do not have a skill to desolder the 1/5 inch sq chip however (but have a friend ready to help me recover it if it bricked).

So I then downloaded a dos flasher and gave it try with a "(program) ALL" option. Flashing itself successful and the product key keeps as before however...

Why does the flasher know the MSDM table?
Why is the rom size exactly the same as the chip capacity though it does not be replaced entirely with the old one?

Hi everyone!

I tried to do it myself, because I thought it would be a simple modification, but it's too complex for me anyway Sad I want to change my graphic card selection option in bios. Now I have ATI/switchable and I want to add integrated graphic card to it. I know it's possible but I just don't have the skillz to do it myself :/
