im looking for a bios update or other straightforward update for download that can have the whitelist removed for the hp compaq nw8240 laptop im using. i would like to use the dell wireless 1370 mini pci card but gives the message of 104 unsupported upon boot. i was able to install the unsupported card after post before the os loaded to see what the hardware id of the card was, even though this isn't recommended to do, it worked so now i at least have more information to offer.

i have attached a picture of the original wifi card hardware id that is supported, the intel 2915 and the other one is the unsupported dell truemobile 1370 mini pci card which i only got it load when installing after post while the laptop was on. let me know if there is other information that i need to give. i tried to use the knoppix method related to the eeprom, but i couldn't even get past the first part of seeing the name of the wireless card and i don't want to go back to it and use that method if there is an easier or more straightforward way to this dell wireless 1370 to work. besides, it's more risky and i don't really understand it completely.

Can someone enable all the hidden features for my bios. In AMIBCP every time i try to save the program crashes. Angry

I hope to have almost all of the hidden bios features enable 
and possibly if someone can find it do a microcode update for the A10-7860k
I've had problems with this board not letting me adjust the IGPU speed even though
this processor is know to have a lot of IGPU clock headroom  Dodgy

This board used the X88 chipset with a lot of features out of it that it should have

Hey guys, i've ordered this GA-EP45-DS3 motherboard and before it comes in i wanna be ready to install my xeon in it. I dont know if it requires the microcode as well, the motherboard that i have right now i had a buddy help me and he said that he didnt need the microcode or that he didnt need to mod bios, but i forgot which one was it. He has moved out since then and we have no contact so i cant ask him.
Now i found this website, would it be enough to download from it, or is it outdated, or just wrong or something. http://tanieprocesory.pl/en/bios2-2/

guys i have a question, is it possible to unlock more in the bios ? a while ago some guy named captainkasar did nlock a couple things but i think alot is still not unlocked, for example overclocking and fan options, and mbu more i havnt thought about, so i like to make a reqests if someone could unlock it further

i realy like to have overclock features, and fan options since the 3 steps fan is anoying

Hello everyone,
Please, Help!
I have Toshiba satellite L50-C1874 --- PART NUMBER:  PSKWSV-06H023AR.
Recently I have updated my bios to the latest official bios, after that update I have found that my touchpad stopped working after many searches I've found that the bios disabled my Touchpad because I can use it only on UEFI not in windows. so I search the bios for any option to re-enable the touchpad I didn't find anything.
can anyone please unlock hidden options in the bios, PLEASE!

this is a 17.3 " laptop that has Insyde Uefi Bios with limitations like:
- only uefi
- impossible to install linux ... even though can boot into linux, but installer will crash on efi grub installtion.
- several other hidden features

Any help to unlock the uefi bios will be highly appreciated.

Hi,

i work for an small business that buy sell recycling especially computers Dell/HP core 2 duo, dual core and sometimes i3, i5i and i7
the problem is that no long ago the owner went to an auction bid an won a lot 70 dell vostro 3400 i3.
(The lot came from florida international university)
but surprisingly when a received the lot and start to test them, when I access the bios Setup it won't let me add, change, or modify boot order.
It just recognize the hard drive as a boot (no usb,network,cdrom) it ask me for Administrator password.
I call the university and they said that the sell was as and they don't give password to no one.

I called dell (and and after 3 hours and tell the history to 5 customer service) as a compliments they provide me 1 master password for 1 system and they say that systems are out of warranty.

So, i start to looking for bios utility, tools, sites, cd (like Hirens) and i had luck at all.

I know that password can be disable when Dell shows on the setup 7 digit hash code followed for mix of 4 letter and numbers 
E.I  1234567-595B  ( D35B or D35B, or 2A7B, 1D3B, etc etc ) using a pwd-bios program or online is a site that provide the service free.

I don't know what else to do, matter of Fact i read a post, that using the bios program plus AFUDOS with some commands key
it might do something (hopefully change the setup). I did everything but as last the AFUDOS display a message :
-ERROR: BIOS is write-protected

Please any help?, or someone that is selling a program (that for real unlock it) ???

This is what i tried to recreate ( from the post instruction that i was telling you)

This decompressed the bios ROM file (4mb) and wrote it to the USB drive.

I downloaded AFUDOS.exe from AMI, since the Vostro 3400 uses AMI BIOS. I booted from the USB drive again into DOS and ran:

AFUDOS.exe /P /X 3400_A10.ROM

/X tells AFUDOS to not check the BIOS for the correct model number. It flashed the BIOS, I rebooted, and the laptop is now working properly and shows the correct model in the BIOS setup and on the startup screen.

Hey Guys,
I am new to this website. I currently have a SONY VAIO VPCEH26EN which has:-
1) Insyde BIOS Version -> R0200Z9
2)ME Version- 7.0.4.1197

I want to install MacOS Sierra on my PC but I can't properly boot into my USB.
The site I am viewing to install Mac OS Sierra is -> http://www.wikigain.com/install-macos-sierra-pc/
According to the site I need to perform following changes in my BIOS Setting.

  1. Load Optimized Defaults

  2. Set The SATA Controller Mode to AHCI

  3. Set the Boot Priority to UEFI

  4. Set OS Type to Other OS

  5. If your CPU supports VT-d, disable it

  6. If your system has CFG-Lock, disable it

  7. If your system has Secure Boot Mode, disable it

  8. If you have a six series or x58 system with AWARD BIOS, disable USB 3.0

  9. Save and exit.
But the problem is many settings are unavailable.

And so I need a Modded BIOS to perform following changes to successfully install MacOS Sierra.

i have an alienware aroura r4 on the A11 bios

ive got a 3930k right now and i am looking to get some better overclocking on it, the bios on this board is very restrictive and i am hoping to find a bios flash or a way to get it to allow me to properly control my core voltage and core clock without having to crank my base clock so much.
