Nokia 3G adding SSD
Hello everyone!
Dealing with a little [censored] of a netbook that someone has brought to me.
It's a Nokia Booklet 3G that the dude wants to upgrade to a 240GB SSD. Sounded simple enough. Keep in mind this is a Micro SATA drive.
The drive is properly detected in the Bios, current BIOS version is 2.00 T01 from Phoenix.
The wonderful issue I'm having is that after the OS (windows 7, even windows 10) is installed and it reboots the first time I get the super informative black screen with a blinking _ and eventually Operating System not found. If I attempt to do an OS repair or even a reinstall I get the notice "No drives were found". I have been able to get booted into windows a few times but as soon as the netbook is restarted for an update I get the same thing as before OS not found.
It was suggested to me before that this was possibly a BIOS issue, so I'm wondering if any of you BIOS experts can shine any light on that possibility.

Dell Inspiron 545 Bios Unlock Request
I have a Dell Inspiron 545 MT that has full Xeon support, however I'm running a Core 2 Quad Q9400 that is capable of 4.0GHz. Is it possible to add/unlock/unhide overclocking menus from this BIOS? I tried the Award Bios Editor but it's too old for this particular BIOS. I have the .bin file all extracted from the latest update. I saw another thread about this BIOS but the person who tested the modded version claimed it borked his PC and I don't want to go through that. I checked the modded version against my version and they have the same microcodes however something else must have happened to mess up his PC. Here's a link to my Dropbox with my latest BIOS.

asus ux510uw custom bios wanted
i have this laptop and its great but there are a few key issues that i need help with since i do not have the skill set. i need it to
id like to think these are simple requests and i think they are worth 20 bucks if completed successfully
it would be cool as all [censored] to have a always on usb port but i understand there are limitations

makes it easier to type key in with num pad
- make function key like volume and screen brightness default and use fn key to use f1, f2, ect

[Request] Alienware Alpha R1 ASM100 BIOS unlock
Hi all,
I guess i am in the extreme minority for owning this machine and wanting to do more then the extremely limited options available in stock bios.
I think this is the section as bios screen says AMI when i check but I could be wrong, sorry.
so all i really want to do is be able to adjust ram timings/speed on this board so i can use it for the ddr3 2133Mhz ram that i have installed, chipset supports it but dell seems to have locked it down... any extra that can be unlocked would be awesome.
I would love to be able to do this myself but haven't been able to find the right information, so I am extremely open to the idea of being mentored into how to do it. if all goes well i would love to help others in doing the same.

[Request] Asus K501UX Bios Unlock
Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum so nice to meet you!
I'm trying to unlock advanced features on the bios of my Asus K501UX. In particular I need to enable Hot Plug for PCIe slots for my eGpu setup.
I've tried opening the bios dump with AMIBCP 4.55.0070. I open the file, I can see the settings and all, but cannot save due to an error of the visual studio c++ libraries.
I don't know if I have a problem with the installed libraries or if it's just a creative way the app is telling me that has crashed.
Can't find any newer version and older versions don't open the file.
I'm totally stuck, could you help me? Even if I can't unlock advanced settings It would be enough to have hot plug enabled on the pcie slot 6.

hi, I'm new to this BIOS thing. I inherited a great condition Lenovo Flex 2-15 laptop and I have a Intel AC 7265 wireless card I want to put in it. I booted to the unsupported wireless network device detected error. Reading this forum, I hit the Lenovo whitelist in the BIOS. The current BIOS is A0CN37WW.
I did check the forum and I can't find that this BIOS has already been modified. Maybe I did a bad job searching.
Is there a way to fix this version BIOS to use the Intel AC 7265 wireless card?

[Request] HP Mini 2140

I'm trying to revive my beloved HP Mini 2140 which has suffered quite a few knocks in storage over the past several years. Unfortunately after attempting to power it on for the first time since 2011 - there appeared to be a few issues, one of which is the wireless card. I really love this little machine due to it's size - they really don't make them like this any more! So I'm hoping someone from here will be able to help me with this - I've replaced the memory, hard drive and thermal paste on this machine and now it works; that is except wifi.
The wireless card in the machine is completely dead and so I've had to replace it with one the several Intel 7260 cards I've had laying around - sort of as expected the bios has a whitelist and therefore I get an error message and refusal to boot.
I see that back in 2011 the whitelist was successfully removed from the bios in this thread:

Unfortunately none of the files are available any more... Is there any chance someone could repeat what was done back then for me?

Dell Vostros 400
Hey Guys,
I've got an Dell Vostros 400 and wanted to upgrade the CPU to the highest supporten and bought an Q9550 (SLB8V), flashed the newest BIOS (1.0.15) and changed the CPU. The PC starts fine but Windows wont start and the BIOS wont show the CPU name only the 12MB cache. So maybe the newest E0 stepping is not supported ? Could someone please investigate this and maybe add support ? (Maybe unlock the secrets hidden in this BIOS too![Cool]( "Cool")

Tpm unlock Dv 6700 ( no tpm or tpm has problem )
Hello , i have a HP DV 6700 and the problem is that when its turned on at the post is the following error : no tpm or tpm has problem.
I have a tl 866 programmer , i programed other version of bios on the eeprom , resoldered it on the mobo , but the problem is still there .
The main problem is that there is no such chip on the motherboard , no tpm chip , i checked every single component on the motherboard , i assure there is no tpm chip on this motherboard .
How can i edit the bios .bin , to remove this tpm problem ?
