unlock request for acer aspire es1-533

Hi I wonder if someone can help me I have purchased an acer aspire es1-533 and have found the legacy boot mode option is not available so I am unable to install Linux.
Having read many post on this forum I have seen it is possible to unlock the bios.  My question is will this enable the option to change to legacy mode if so can someone help me to unlock the bios it would be greatly appreciated.

The bios file link is as follows:

Hi guys,

I have searched through the forumn and noticed this has been done many times and there is also a method for me to do it myself, but all the links to the programs seem to be broken. 

I did a backup using BackupTool_18 and uploaded the results.rar here:

Please let me know if you need this in a different format. Or if anyone still has the instructions and programs needed to do it myself I will gladly do that as well.

Qosmio X505-Q850 bios unlock request

I just got a laptop upgrade. I had a Toshiba satellite l455-s5009 and got a Qosmio X505-Q850 from my uncle. and its got a problem. it shuts down due to possibly due to overheating. I have cleaned the heat sinks and reapplied thermal paste and its got a fanbase too. but after about 15 minuts when playing terratech it just shuts off. the screen turns black and i have to boot it up. my 2nd to last solution is modding the bios to where i can run fans at max 24/7 or be able to control it. I used pc health moniter and before it dies it dosnt even reach 100% tempature. Right now its at about 45-50 C* (113-122 F ) and gets to about 65-75 C* (149-167 F ) before it blacks out. My last resort is buying new fans.

Lenovo s400 (20283) Whitelist Removal Request

I would like to request the whitelist removal of WLAN cards in the bios of my Lenovo S400 Touch. The model is 20283 with BIOS version 6DCN95WW(V8.08).

I'm trying to add bluetooth and 5ghz with an Intel 3160. I understand there is a process to read the bios to a file so you can mod it. Please let me know what I have to do. Your help is greatly appreciated!

[HP 2560p] Whitelist removal from BIOS module

Hello,

I've tried to modify BIOS from my HP 2560p to remove WLAN whitelist. So far I've changed PowerManagement 75 to EB.
I've seen in 2540p thread, that there is something more to change, in WLAN module.

Tried to find the condition in my module, but they are much different, so it was impossible to find it on my own. Could someone point me, what should I change in this module to bypass whitelist checking?

Using F.63 bios: F.63.

Btw. I'm flashing this with SPI programmer.

Hallo all.

I like to know if ther is any buddy thad can help me whit a bios mod.

I have a xeon x5698 cpu thad i like to use on my evga sr-2 board.
I am on the last bios thad was made for this board A58 http://cdn.evga.com/bios/SR2/W555_A58.zip

The problem is thad the bios whil not set the stock multie of 33,
The bios picks multie 1 and canot be changed.
In windows this give me a cpu speed of 1600mhz instad of the stock 4400mhz

now the qwestion is.

can and whil some buddy add the microcode of this cpu to the bios?

I don't know what I'm doing, nor where I am. But I'll do my best. After all, I am a novice user.

I'm looking for an updated BIOS file for my Lenovo B50-30 Touch because I accidentally installed a bios required for a regular Lenovo B50-30 instead. It should be able to manage the touchscreen capabilities if possible. If not, then never mind.

[Request] Alienware X51 R2 BIOS Unlock

Hello everyone!
I have an Alienware X51 R2. And I want to overclock my RAM, but there are no such options in BIOS.
PC has i7 4790, H87 chipset and BIOS with Alienware skin, so I can't exactly recognize the BIOS vendor.
But I create short BIOS dump (only BIOS region image) and even tried to mod it myself, so I can say what it is 99% AMI. Uefi bios updater 1.65.3 says it's Aptio 4 and correctly updates modules, AMIBCP 4.53 and MMTool 4.50 can correctly open BIOS image. And even more: in uefi tool i saw strings with "AMI".
So I ask for help. Please, unlock maximum available options.
SMALL.BIN is a original BIOS image.
MOD2.BIN is myself modified BIOS.
What i did in MOD2:
1) unlock some options in AMIBCP, the only one more option of all is shown now
2) replaced setup module with patched one, which should enable hidden pages from formset table, but it doesn't. Nothing changed.
There are all changes.
If you don't understand correctly what i did, tell me.

PS. BIOS version is A10. Latest.
Update: added photos of original menu. Now I have flashed MOD2 and the only one more option is shown - it internal graphics enable/disable/auto switch in advanced->integrated devices.

LG R510 BIOS Flashing?

Hello,

i have an wrong updated "LG R510-G.ABCAG" Laptop. Please can sombody help me to flash the right bios on it?
The Laptop starts and i can do changes into the BIOS, but when he starts to boot any OS the Laptop hangs.

The only way i found is to take down the chip and flash it manual

Inject 10676 latest microcode into Acer 7720G bios file

Hi all,


I want to do this so my T9300 (originally a T5550) will have its multiplier changing (currently locked at its max value). I am suspecting naively this may be due to a too old microcode version.


I have tried to add the latest 10676 microcode file

I tried with cbrom198.exe but the bios is not a Award but a Phoenix SecureCore bios and cbrom hangs.

[REQUEST]Modded BIOS for install MacOSX

Hey Guys,
I am new to this website. I currently have a SONY VAIO VPCEH26EN which has:-
1) Insyde BIOS Version -> R0200Z9
2)ME Version- 7.0.4.1197

I want to install MacOS Sierra on my PC but I can't properly boot into my USB.
The site I am viewing to install Mac OS Sierra is -> http://www.wikigain.com/install-macos-sierra-pc/
According to the site I need to perform following changes in my BIOS Setting.

  1. Load Optimized Defaults

  2. Set The SATA Controller Mode to AHCI

  3. Set the Boot Priority to UEFI

  4. Set OS Type to Other OS

  5. If your CPU supports VT-d, disable it

  6. If your system has CFG-Lock, disable it

  7. If your system has Secure Boot Mode, disable it

  8. If you have a six series or x58 system with AWARD BIOS, disable USB 3.0

  9. Save and exit.
But the problem is many settings are unavailable.

And so I need a Modded BIOS to perform following changes to successfully install MacOS Sierra.

x230 fan speed

Hi there,

Does anyone know how to change the RPM setting of the fan in bios.

I believe it works in the following way:

There is an octet coded in the bios with each bit being a different fan speed for 8 different speeds in total (incl. 0). The OS controls this through calls to some deeper system (I think it's called ACPI).

I would like to lower the speed of the first few bits. At the moment Fan Speed 1 is far too high and 2 is ridiculous. I would like to make it a smoother curve up to 7.
