{Request} Unlock BIOS HP Mini 210-4000

I'm stumped at this point and I'm looking for help! Smile

I have a HP mini 210-4000 with N2600 cpu. I have the most up to date BIOS from the HP website, F.08.

I need to figure out how to get a BIOS in this laptop that will enable 64-bit processing. All the hardware supports it, the cpu supports it. I'm screwed on using this because hp chose to only make a 32-bit BIOS for it.

They really underpowered these little laptops from hp, only 1gb of RAM with Win 7  Starter edition. I love the form factor and upgrading it. I have it running an old MSATA leftover ssd in an adapter and I upgraded the RAM to 2gb and have it running win 10 pro. I quit upgrading it when I couldn't figure out how to get 64 bit enabled on this last year. Now I'm at the point where I'm gonna buy a N2800 cpu and upgrade it up to 4gb because the cpu can support that much.

I'm really hoping someone hear can help me mod a bios to get 64 bit working, and failing that at least get the WLAN blacklist removed. I appreciated anyone taking the time to read this, thanks for your time!

I would like to give a huge thank you to DeathBringer for making this Bios Mod. This would have never been possible without DeathBringer. DeathBringer is the biggest and greatest help I have ever gotten on forums. After almost 2 years of waiting, finally there is a bios mod that works for the touchsmart.

Hi,

I have a Sony VPCF23B9E laptop on which I would like access to the BIOS advanced features. Specifically, I want to change the HDD controller from AHCI to IDE (Legacy) mode so as to test a hard drive with a manufacturer's utility (Seatools for DOS). The BIOS is American Megatrends and the version is R2150V3 (EC version K2150V3 / ME version 7.1.13.1088) - see attached image. Is there anyone who can offer me advice or help?

I'm new to these forums and have read the thread at https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-S...CF2?page=2. That was updated some time ago so I've posted this new thread. However, please move to that or some other more appropriate thread if required.

I need to unlock all extra hidden options (especialy graphics, disk controller and ocassionally remove whitelist).
All of methods have failed, even EFI Shell.

This laptop is very unique - accept only win8 x64. When legacy is enabled i get black screen without backlight and it back to life only by reseting cmos battery.
Laptop has problems with switching graphics. I replaced the GPU chip with a new one but nothing has changed.

The priority for me is to unlock all combinations of graphics settings.

If the modification work I will be happy to give you donation Wink

The first screenshot shows the version of the F.26 because I am in the course of experiments, but by default I'm working on a version F.25, and this is attached a copy.

Does bios recovery procedure on motherboard and/or laptop rewrites bios boot block

My computers are infected with virus which infects bios.
Yes, i know that for sure. Hackers demostrated my laptop in a state in which it does not detects hard drive for up to 3 reboots, simultaneously commenting situation from other side of my room window. Other old PC bios they broken totally. CMOS CHecksum Error is printed at boot.

My question is: does laptop bios recovery procedures(to be specific: Thinkpad EDGE e545, Acer Aspire 5742G) and motherboard(GA-Z170-HD3 DDR3) rewrites bios boot block? I am asking because hackers are very professional, I think they infect even boot block.

Please provide links to any related documentation or articles if you know the answer to my question.

Top of the morning to you,

I have here, a BIOS which I would ask someone knowledgeable to unlock. Right now, the BIOS installed is, quite frankly, useless to me, so I was looking to get all of the advanced options enabled. The BIOS files I have provided are from the V1.5 update from Acer. In the archive, you will find the exe for the BIOS (from the Acer website), and a folder which has the dump from the exe. I had a look with Phoenixtool and I don't think the BIOS is RSA signed (Though of course I'm only a newb.)

Hi,
I want to install Windows 10 in UEFI Mode but I can't find an UEFI option in bios.
So, can somebody help me get that done with a modded bios please ?

Dell Inspiron 14 N4030
i3-370M (it came with Pentium P6200, but I upgraded to i3)
Bios type: AMI/Aptio
Bios version: A07

I found some already modded bios here on the forum, but download links are all dead ;-;


The main goal is to get "UEFI Boot" option, if I can't get that on the modded bios, then it's okay! I will keep the original one. Thanks!

LENOVO G50-70 NO WHITELIST testers needed

Hi there,
I removed the whitelist from 9acn26ww bios for the Lenovo G50-70.
It should be a generic one: no need to send me your backup and aida report.
If you want to try it here you go:
  1. Enable the BIOS Back Flash option in Bios Setup
  2. download the 9acn26ww.exe from Lenovo
  3. extract it with 7zip
  4. download my 9ACN26WW_nowhitelist.fd
  5. rename 9ACN26WW_nowhitelist.fd to 9ACN26WW.fd
  6. replace the original 9ACN26WW.fd with the modified one
  7. run InsydeFlash.exe
Before flashing please check the bios recovery guide and have a rescue usb ready
After flashing please let me know if it worked for you, it did for me.
If it works for you too, I'll try and modify newer versions.
