Hi All,

I've run into the issue of trying to RAID 3tb+ on an old Intel MSM option rom - which led me here. I've read everything I can, used all the BIOS rom tools, and the only one that worked was the MMT below to give me anything. I'd like to add the latest ROM that would support the ability to create 3tb+ RAID1.

I have an intel server board s3200shv

I determined the BIOS file was named R0052.cap (is this really the BIOS?)
I renamed to R0052.rom and opened in MMTool Aptio (4.5 and 5.0 both work)
I could not open the file with the UEFI Bios Updater tool (not a valid file)

I've attached a screenshot of the MMTool output, but can't really seem to find the options that are discussed on the site (look for "such and such" in the output)

Any guidance would be appreciated, I have a number of these boards and it would really extend their usefulness if I could get this working.

InsydeH20 BIOS Dell 15R 5537 Version A08

Hi,

Did anyone had any success modding the A08 BIOS for Dell 15R 5537.

Laptop Model: Dell 15R 5537
OS: Windows 10 Pro X64.

The current BIOS has very basic tabs which do not allow a lot to be done.
I am specially interested in the Advanced and Power tabs if they are present at all.

I did try to follow Donovan's method of editing the BIOS file and reached till the stage where we can see graphs for jump statements.
Unfortunately after that it became a bit too complicated for me. Sad

I have, since then managed to create a version using Phoenix SLIC Tool 266.
Original archive installer: 5537A08.exe
Modded installer: 5537A08_SLIC.exe


Should I try flashing with this executable from within Windows?
Has anyone flashed this laptop Bios with the above mod successfully.

In case something goes wrong with the flash, is there a way to recover without having to open up the laptop and reprogram the BIOS Chip externally.

Appreciate your help and guidance with this.

Hi Smile

I need to change stock Splash Screen(I hate that company) while computer boot the system. I'd upgraded Aptio to software from Medion site . In package there is BIOS.bin file, but I can't open it with cbrom (1.98); when I type

program stuck for eternity.
There is no *.rom file also.
Please HELP !
Otherwise I'll have to buy another motherboard :Smile

Hello everyone

Firstly I am sorry for my poor english.
I just bought an Sony VAIO laptop model VPCEB1S1E and I am curious if it is possible to mod the BIOS on this laptop to support UEFI booting. I would like to turn this laptop onto hackintosh so because of clover it will be great to have UEFI booting. Is this possible somehow and if yes can anybody make that mod for me?

P.S if this is incorrect section of the forum please move it to correct one.

Trouble finding BIOS for Gateway MT6459.

Hello,

I'd like to modify the BIOS for a Gateway MT6459 by adding SLIC 2.1 data to the BIOS. I have Andy's (I think) Phoenix Tool v2.66, which I think can do the job. I just can't seem to find a copy of the BIOS to modify. I've tried using WinPhlash (various versions) to dumb the BIOS. The 64-bit versions (latest I tried was 1.0.76) all error out with the same error message:

Image file %s is either not valid or is damaged. Platform Signature not found in the interface. Error code: -103. Google doesn't seem to provide me with much help.

The 32-bit versions seem to error out with a message about the driver being blocked. I turned off DEP protection for the 32-bit versions but it doesn't help. Also, I'm running all the programs as administrator and I'm currently running Windows 7 64-bit. I believe this is because they're 32-bit programs and might not work with the 64-bit version of Windows?

My understanding was, because WinPhlash seems to require a .WPH file to just backup the BIOS, I could use any WPH file, to backup the current BIOS. I downloaded the BIOS for an MT6450 and am using that .WPH file to try and dump the BIOS on this machine.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I can post the ACPI tables if needed (by running RwEverything and then saving and uploading them here). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

CPU upgrade Asus U31SG from i3 Sandy Bridge to i7 Ivy Bridge

good day dears,
I am in trouble: I bought an Asus U31SG laptop with sandy bridge dual core i3 2350m, I red that its socket is compatible with ivy bridge, so I upgraded the heat sink and bought an i7 3630qm quad core...the problem is this: when I turn on te pc with that i7 installed its continue turning on and off every about one second, I update the bios at the last version but it was useless. I saw even the working voltages and the i7 works at the same voltage of the old i3. So I thinked that the problems may be two:
- or the bios must be updated due to a ivy bridge non-supporting
- or the bios must be changed due to a quad core non supporting

it has an ami bios

so I have some questions:
- may I flash a bios of a similar i7 quad asus laptop?
- may I flash a bios of a similar ivy bridge asus laptop?
so I am here asking you what do you think I can do and if does exist a modded bios witch could allow me to use this i7?

obviously if it's possible to have even the bios unlocked to can increase or decrease the cpu multipier in case that my upgraded heatsink isn't enought efficient or could support more heat it would be fantastic!

I have confirmed with Toshiba that this model is whitelisted (to the best of their ability to understand what this means). I don't want to totally mod the bios if possible--I just want to install a new AC adapter. I've identified the Intel card needed, but apparently need to overcome the whitelist.



I haven't been able to find much information (most of the diagnostic tools don't run on Win 10), but here's what I have found out:

Hello,

Is it possible to change anything on this bios? I need windows 7 slic support, ram,vga and cpu unlocked. But windows 7 slic is most important. Below I have included zip file with my dell bios to be modified and bios from official foxconn web page which I have tried to update to my system but without sucess.

Hey i have a Hp G6-1106ax laptop using the bios - F.43 Rev A SP55442 - (http://ftp.ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp5500...p55442.exe) and i was wanting to change igpu settings and adjust ram timings if possible. 

Cpu-z states the model # of the motherboard as 3567 (product id).

I have seen some previous threads where it was possible to unlock the SP55442 bios (https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...6dx?page=2), yet the files are no longer active and i'm not sure the modder is even still active on these forums.

Any help would be much appreciated, and i'm sure i could manage a donation if someone manages to help me Smile
