Request: Help with unlock Lenovo V570

Hello,
Initial info:
I have notebook Lenovo V570 with MSATA SSD 64 Gb and HDD 500 Gb, situation is next:
I buy Optibay [2-nd HDD caddy] for install 3-th HDD, but after I install the 3-th HDD notebook load only up to logo LENOVO, but I can go to BIOS, in BIOS I can see all three disks, but OS or other programs from flash card do not load. When I remove one of HDD, no matter one of the HDD or MSATA SSD, all works perfect. In program "intel rapid storage" I can see that SATA controller can manage 4 SATA conections, after that I make conclusion that it is some restriction on BIOS level.

So question:

Can exist way to unlock BIOS to use all three discs.

Lenovo U410, Error 201: FTP.exe cannot be run on the current platform

Hello,

I am trying to install a new wifi card into my Lenovo U410 (Intel, laptop), bios 65CN89WW.

I am attempting to obtain the required (.bin?) files.

I tried using FTK Toolkit and received the error:


Error 201: fpt.exe cannot be run on the current platform

I also tried using BACKUP_Tools_12 (http://rghost.net/7xBfRPCvp) and as it ran, I noticed it also returned the same error within its automated command prompts.



How can I resolve this error?

Lenovo B590 whitelist request

Hi folks,

Yesterday I bought a new Intel AC 7260 Wireless card for my Lenovo B590, but it obviously did't work properly, as I couldn't boot with the card plugged in. After some research I found a whitelist might be the best option, and since I don't think I can do it myself, I'd like one of you to do it for me.

- Add Fast boot Support

backup bios

hello friends, Huh

i'm new in this forum, i have an EZP2010 programmer and i'm looking for a .bin file of bios of an HP pavilion 15-n005sk.

however, if any one can give me a software running on windows ( i use Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 and it doesn't work) , that can backup the bios of another hp pavilion 15, because i can't open it (because of the warranty) to remove its bios.

NB: i use Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 and it doesn't work.

Hello,

I would like to ask for help on modding a bios as I do not have the knowledge or experience on modding a bios by myself.

I am working on a project for myself where I have attached a laptop LCD to a motherboard by means of using a simple eDP adapter. As you can guess, because the eDP adapter or the LCD does not have a controller, the LCD does not recognize the resolution output by the BIOS at boot time and gives me a garbled screen until the OS comes up. The OS, thankfully, recognized the EDID data and adjusts the resolution.

I am using the following

- Supermicro X10SLV-Q MB
- Pentium G3250 (Haswell) cpu and gpu
- Abusemark LCD adapter
- ipad retina LCD 2048 x 1536

I would like to be able to use the display in portrait mode and have the BIOS output a resolution for a 1536 x 2048 resolution and was wondering if this could be added to the BIOS via a mod. If yes, please help me achieve it. I have attached the latest bios for my MB, the small sticker on the MB states that the BIOS is a AMI Aptio V4.

[Brazilian] Hey guys! I want to increase the amount of dedicated video on my laptop, but those options are hidden/locked on my BIOS. Could some one unlock for me? Please?

BIOS Update Problems

Hello everyone. I`m new here so please forgive me if my thread is in wrong place. Mainly, I`m having huge problems updating my bios since my Mobo does not belong to one of the better known brands.. It`s Pegatron IPMIP GS, and the bios is AMI ( American Megatrends ). I have searched everywhere I wasn`t able to find the needed files. Anyone have a suggestion ? Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

I like to ask if someone is able to unlock this BIOS. Mainly I'm interested if the option to change the HDD access mode from IDE to AHCI is available at all (the used Intel ICH7-M is AHCI capable)

Dell XPS 9530 BRICKED by latest BIOS - HELP!

I've had my Dell XPS 9530 for about a year and a half. Tonight I attempted to go from BIOS version A07 to the new A09 released a few days ago. (http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER03220277M/1/9530A09.EXE ) Ran the Windows based bios update, All seemed normal until the laptop went to restart, went to a black screen, fans on full blast, stayed this way for a long time. Finally I tried to force a power off by holding down the power button. No dice. Ended up pulling the battery. Now unit won't power on at all.

Found out about holding down the END key and putting the power cord in. Extracted the hdr and rom files from the dell A09 bios and put them on a freshly FAT formatted 1GB usb drive. the light on the flash drive comes on for about 10 seconds every 30 seconds when entering recovery mode with the END key - but all I get is the power light blinking on the laptop, and the fans on full blast. Left it like this for 20 mins - nothing.....

I think it's an American Megatrends / AMI BIOS....

what am I doing wrong?

Hi hoping someone on the forums here could possible help me, I have a Lenovo u510 and live in a APT where 2.4ghz kind of suck and want to upgrade my wifi card to INTEL advance N 6230 but when I installed it gave me a message Not Authorized wifi card please remove. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

[REQUEST] HP 210-4000 mod to enable 64 bit OS

Hi - I'd be very grateful if it is possible to mod the Insyde BIOS for my HP 210-4125sa netbook so I can run 64 bit OS and therefore use the full 4Gb RAM that the machine will accept (currently says only 2.99 Gb usable; note when 2Gb chip installed there was no mention of only part of it being usable, i.e. taken by video). No settings are available in the BIOS as it stands to enable 64 bit OS.
