Hi all!

I request a mod for BIOS of my OK M46 laptop. It is chinese manufacturer. No BIOS updates.

I upgrade the CPU from Celeron T3500 to Core2 Duo T8100. But no visible options are.

What i need:

- Intel CPU section (EIST, EDB, maybe VT-X)
- Switching ON|OFF the ethernet and touchpad
- Anything more else what can you unlock

Interesting detail - when i trying to activate Windows 7 - SLIC sertificate from Acer matches the laptop.


I'll attaching the BIOS file, backuped by Universal BIOS backup tool to this post.

I need hidden options enabled. specifically i am looking to enable 64 bit pci addressing. I found some other names for the bios option I need to be able to enable.
Also any other hidden options would be nice to have revealed. I am not sure if it is allowed, but i can compensate someone who dedicates time to making this happen.

on an Intel board you may find something like; "Memory Mapped I/O above 4GB [Enable]"

on an ASUS board it will probably look like; "PCI 64bit Resource Handling Above 4G Decoding [Enabled]"

You might also see something referring to "MMIO above 4G" or maybe even "large BAR support".

QX9300 For Dell A29 ?

Please excuse my lack of knowledge in this area, hope I'm posting in the correct forum.

I placed a QX9300 in a DELL M4400, but could not get past POST. Had to go back to T9400 to get past POST again.

I'm trying to learn whether the DELL A29 BIOS includes support for QX9300. Most information I read infers that this should be true, however I would like to see the proof.

I understand it should be possible to see a reference to the CPU in the BIOS ROM file as a "microcode". I understand the CPUID should be 01067Ah and core steppping E0 according to the S-Spec SLB5J here: http://www.cpu-world.com/sspec/SL/SLB5J.html

Could someone help point me to a method for verifying support for the CPU in the BIOS ?

Trying to remove the whitelist on my Lenovo G500s.
My wifi card has been acting up and I've been reading that replacing the wifi card is not as easy as plug n play. Much help is appreciated.
I have attached the ROM file created after running the backup bios application.

Hello,
Laptop Lenovo S440 has no option for HDD mode in BIOS.
I'd like to get RAID options to use Intell RST technology, maybe some additional power or CPU advanced menu.
Is it possible to mod? I see a lot of mods for other Lenovo laptops, but no for s440.

Will be appreciated for help or advice Smile

Hi there, so this seems like a great friendly community where people help each other here with services such as Bios modding and what not. I see some accept donations as a friendly gesture to ask in return some $ for the services they have done. I know a donation is a donation and in general it does not matter how much one gives as long as one gives something. But these question are not to judge or say what is the maximum or minimum amount a donation should be, but rather it is a consensus to see what the community thinks about donations that are received in return for services.

I am asking these multiple question to both, those who receive help & those who do the mods.

For those who donate:

How much do you approximately donate when you do receive help from a modder? Does the amount you donate depend on the service/help received?

Those who do the mods:

How much do you hope to receive for the services you have done? or How much do you think your work is worth? or How much would be a reasonable donation for the service/help you provide?

I ask these questions because I myself had the opportunity to donate to a member that helped me out but I was left wondering, what would be the perfect/reasonable amount to donate to a fellow member.

Hi Everyone!

I've searched high and low but cannot seem to find anything relating to this.. I'm looking for a bios unlock for a HP Pavilion G6-2230SA, currently running "Insyde H20 F. 26"? I'm also unsure how to find out if it's RSA signed - Saw the phoenix tool, but not one for Insyde.

Laptops currently running a fresh install of Windows 7, came with 8 pre-installed though, not sure if this information is useful..

I have tried using the bios posted in this forum here but no dice. it gets through everything and then says bios update failed. Am I doing something wrong? My current bios is a newer version (F.29 instead of F.27) in case that matters. I also reverted my bios to F.27 and tried it again and still no luck.

The bioses I have are: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_86MElfy0wRQ1Z4VVptV2duS3M&authuser=0 (the downgraded F.27 bios) and https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_86MElfy0wRTC1XaUQzS0V3Wm8/view?usp=sharing (the normal F.29 bios).

Hi,
the vendor stops to update bios code for my 'old' laptop.
Now, if I try to install a new ram module, the ram speed decrease to 600 mhz.
Is it possible to unlock some features to force the ram speed to 800 (1600)?
I'm not able to understand how I can do it by myself, actually I'm even not able to extract wsh file from the above exe.
may anyone help me please?
