Lenovo X250 WAN whitelist remove

Hello,

I have my Lenovo X250 with old WAN card and i would like to replace it with Huawei ME906s.
Can anyone help me please remove whitelist of WAN card?

AMI BIOS Aptio V - Linx 12V64 UEFI BIOS Help

Quick back story... I'm new to bios modding and having some issues with my old Linx 12V64.  Originally I was trying to revive this old tablet and during my internet travels came across AMI Bios' ChangeLogo tool.  I changed the Logo but managed to mess up the flash and ended up with a paperweight for a day.  I got myself a CH341A and managed to rescue it, but now I'm trying to understand WHY things don't work.  If I change even 1 BIOS string using the AMI BCP tool it turns into a paperweight again. (I obv have a backup hence able to recover it)... but from some testing it would appear that no matter how simple the change, ANY change renders it useless despite flashing correctly and using "official" tools. 

What am I missing? is this normal? Is it something to do with the Signature Verification stuff? (I got a warning about signature verification in the changelogo application, although AMI BCP does *not* give that same warning.)

Edit: I used FreeDOS Live when I flashed, also the EFI version from an EFI Shell, never flashed from windows. I obv used a second computer when using the CH341A to recover

Hi there...
The post new theread is still broken under Firefox.... There isn't anybdy to fix this? I'm literally writing over the options...
Anyways... I got one ASRock K7S8X R3.0 with latest BIOS P2.60.  The board had some low end CPU such as Duron 800. but this CPU wrnt to another board. Recently, I bought an AMD Athlon XP 2600+. The black sticker on the CPU clearly says AXDA2600DKV4D however there's something wrong with the CPU or the motherboard.
The board has 2 sets of jumpers. One for FSB and the other for multiplier. Multiplier block has no jumper caps installed, the manual says it cames with none. The FSB block has 2x3 pins and we can set 200/266/333/400 mhz. Howerver the cpu refuses to work at 166MHZ(333MHZ DDR). When the cpu arrived, it didn't want to enter the cpu socket but with some wiggling, I managed to install the cpu without bending any pins. I also cleaned any old paste.
The CPU seems to like 100 and 133 but not 166/200. If I set 166 via jumpers, it goes down to 100 or presents and erractic behavious like running at 166 but it loses this "setting" after a poweroff/on.
I also tried 200mhz, but the cpu goes to 133 and very rare case I seen it run at 200x11.5 ... and showing 2300mhz and getting very hot.
I don't know what's going on. Probably the cpu has some problem. Maybe some internal connection core-pins or those components soldered at top being flacky.
CPU upgrade site says the cpu should work but the ASRock site is a bit vaugh. There are at least 2 models of 2600+ and mine is Barton.
I wanted to try to inject the BIOS with latest microcode patches, for start. Then I want also to color mod the BIOS setup screen... I more adept of white on black colors. I want also, to inject an option rom like Plop boot manager so I can boot to usb. Current USB boot is crap and doesn't work with anything.
So far I have been testing with some popular mod tools like mmtool which doesn't seem to recognize the bios file... and also amibcp for windows that also doesn't seem to like the file. AMIBCP 7.60 for DOS does like the BIOS file but... I can't seem to find where the microcode module is nor find the options to remove/inject modules.
The BIOS screen at top says it's AMIBIOS 3.31a.
Any help appreciated.

[REQUEST] Custom BIOS install for Inspiron 15R that doesn't require connected battery

Hi,

I have an old Dell Inspiron 15R 5537 for which I'd like to update the BIOS, but the installation file won't let me as no battery is detected (a battery is connected but dead).
The bios download file is https://dl.dell.com/FOLDER05842977M/1/In...37_A12.exe
I found some docs mentioning using the /forceit parameter, but it doesn't work (and I verified I did it right by inputing a random parameter, for which I get "Invalid WinFlash parameters error", which makes sense).
I'd like a custom install file that won't require a working battery. Of course, I'm aware of the consequences.

(btw, I tried doing that from DOS- apparently there's no way to do it from there; I tried doing it from the BIOS setup or from the boot menu option to flash the BIOS from there but surprisingly the option to update the BIOS is missing. And I've check EVERYWHERE.)

Beginner questions (AMITSE and Password location in UEFI)

Hello o/
I'm new to the bios/UEFI mod and I want to know more!

I have 2 questions:
The first is: what does AMITSE mean and what is it?

The second is: where is the bios password stored in the UEFI file system. I did a lot of research but I couldn't find any information about it. I assume it's in NVRAM but I'm not at all sure if it is... And if it is in the nvram, I also want to know if I can easily find its offset/position

Hey people, I want to modify this BIOS for disabling things like thunderbolt/USB-C port, messing with DMVT-Prealloc and etc. For this I need the advanced tab and whatever else.
This link refers to downloadable folder containg the original ACER BIOS Update file, but also the ".fd" and ".bin" I extracted in case they are useful.

Anybody know what’s the item that I need to find to enable the advanced menu? I thought should I disable “CFG Lock” but I don't see any changes inside the bios menu.

[align=justify] hello good day. i have a weird oem laptop with a pentium 4 2.53 ghz northwood cpu. 

the laptop was sold with max a 2.8 ghz cpu. 
if possible. i want microcode update for my bios to support 3.06 ghz northwood with HT support. likely because of the HT it would not post..

attached i have 2 files. one is a bios extracted directly from a dos program. and one is directly from a archive with a official bios update. not sure if theyre the same or compatible.. 

the official bios came in 2 versions. 64 and 32 mb. not sure why..

bios vendor is amibios
bios chip is ba12 0343
the system model is gericom WebgineForce-351S1
cpu I want to install is pentium 4 SL77P

if any more info is needed just ask!

I want to install Hackintosh on my laptop but my bios setting doesn't let me. I have currently this bios but I think this isn't working to boot BigSur/Monterey but Catalina. And I also want to acces to cpu overclocking settings I gotta increase the throttling starts degreece. All information and links are in bottom, thanks in advance. Modify hidden settings by changing optimal defaults

Hi!

I'm trying to change some hidden BIOS settings on a Maxsun MS-Challenger H510ITX motherboard. I'm most interested in enabling PCIE ASPM and DMI ASPM.

The most obvious solution is to unlock those options with their associated menus. However, unlocking brand new top-level menus seems quite difficult, involving a lot of trial and error steps that I do not quite understand yet.

Is it possible to modify these hidden settings by changing the "Optimal" value in AMIBCP, and then load the optimal default in the BIOS setup?

I recently bought a Geforce 9600M GT 512mb for my Compal IFL90, but I got no video after upgrading from an 8400M GS.

I would like to know if there is any way to modify my Bios to accept this card. My current Bios is 1.16(
