I’m trying to replace Intel AX201 with Intel AX411 wireless adapter.
Smbiosbios version = EGCN36WW

I’d like to create backup of current BIOS or System files before proceeding.  Do I need to create a backup image on a thumb drive?
 
I don’t know how to dump current BIOS into a format you desire. Please advise.

Hi
I recently bought a Geforce 9600M GT 512mb for my Compal IFL90, but I got no video after upgrading from an 8400M GS.

I would like to know if there is any way to modify my Bios to accept this card. My current Bios is 1.16(

Modify hidden settings by changing optimal defaults

Hi!

I'm trying to change some hidden BIOS settings on a Maxsun MS-Challenger H510ITX motherboard. I'm most interested in enabling PCIE ASPM and DMI ASPM.

The most obvious solution is to unlock those options with their associated menus. However, unlocking brand new top-level menus seems quite difficult, involving a lot of trial and error steps that I do not quite understand yet.

Is it possible to modify these hidden settings by changing the "Optimal" value in AMIBCP, and then load the optimal default in the BIOS setup?

I have a Yoga AIO 7 - 27ACH6 - Type F0G7 and would like to control the "GPU / CPU fan control" via the Windows 10 or 11 operating system. If necessary, write your own software to accomplish this. Unfortunately, LENOVO has of course protected the BIOS again. I would like to manipulate and change the BIOS until it works. A software or tool that can control the fan speed under the operating system would be great. BIOS Ver. O5IKT1AA

hello good day. i have aquired some old laptops to mess with. and one of which is this weird gericon laptop. their website does not exist anymore. info/bios update for this laptop is non existent.  however. this laptop is using a desktop pentium 4. desktop SIS 645DX and more. with SETFSB I can fully overclock it until voltage is not enough.  the cooling on this laptop is  a lot better compared to other pentium 4 desktop laptop's I've seen so I'm sure it could overclock 


I've extracted the bios using a dos program since I cannot find a fresh update from the net 

if possible. could overclocking function be added to the bios?

and perhaps maybe micro code updates for higher than northwood support cpu's?

alternatively. ho could I go about and mod the bios myself? I've tried using stuff like AMIBCP but it cant open the from. only the hex editor can open it. i'd love to do it and I feel like these older systems ould be the easiest?

Hello,

I would to have hidden menus unlocked on the latest Bios for my Asus GL703. Mainly to undervolt the CPU because it's overheating and shutting down randomly...
I tried to downgrade to bios 310 but it keeps being updated every time I enter the BIOS even with Windows driver auto update disabled.

I would like those menus unclocked if possible :
- CPU configuration Menus
- Power and Performance
- OverClocking Performance menu
- Is there a Wake on LAN option in that BIOS?

I attached the BIOS file using genius239 tool.
Can someone help me with that?
