[HELP] Toshiba S50-B-12C : Bios corrupt ?

Hello,

I come back with another laptop... For the background, i just change the HDD by a SSD. All was good, Windows 10 with latest update working well.
I shutdown the laptop and today, when i try to power on, black screen...
I check RAM, try to connect an external screen, remove SSD and put back the original HDD, make a little reflow on RADEON GPU chipset : black screen.
The keyboard backlight is on, if i push a touch, the light come like if all is ok but nothing, no logo, no screen, no boot.
I make a dump of the bios file but i don't know how to check if something wrong happen.
Another difficult : Toshiba never publish a bios file for this model ! It's the first time i see that...
I have a Toshiba Satellite S50-B-12C

Can someone check the bios file please ?

Unlock Advanced menu in this BIOS

Hello! There is a BIOS from HP 17-bs046ur. This is InsydeH2O Rev. 5. I want to unlock the advance menu. The archive contains BIOS files decompiled using the Phoenix Tool. Files are opened with H2OEZE, but I don't know what to do next. Help please.

I guys ,I need your help , I have one motherboard foxconn model elvas 1.0 (am2) COMPAQ PRESARIO NY571AA-ABM CQ2302LA
chipset rs690~rs690m and i need update microcode agesa to latest for cpu support
*agesa actually 3.5.3.1

I bought amd athlon II 605E 2.3ghz but the following message appears>

error the cpu that was installed is not compatible in a few seconds the pc will turn off automatically

Basically I want to rollback to the really first version of this laptop BIOS which is the F.04. I have read similar cases in the HP forum which their BIOS updates have messed up the functionality of their laptops,

the same seems to be happening for me, recently I bought this laptop and happens that this had the F20 BIOS version, I was presenting concurrent shutdowns when my GPU or CPU reaches its 100% usage, the temperatures it reaches are 70°C, not even near to the thermal limit where it should throttle instead of shutting down. So I updated to the newest BIOS version to see if the problem was solved (F27 version) but it’s still happening.

I can’t rollback due to HP being evil and locking BIOS updates, I can’t even use this laptop for what I bought it for.
Please help me. Sad(

Hello,

i would like to upgrade my CPU on TOSHIBA QOSMIO G50 and bought 2 but there are not fully supported (multiplier is not OK).
Original CPU is P8400 (2.26GHz)
P9500 works but multiplier is not OK : 1600MHz instead of 2533MHz (i tried to disabled auto adjust throttle in bios but 1600MHz stay the max).
P8700 : same as P9500, multiplier is not OK

I would like to install only 25W TDP CPU, so no T9600 / T9400 (35W TDP)

Extract of service manual :
Microprocessor
The QOSMIO G50 computer is equipped with an Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor.
These processors incorporate a math co-processor, a 3MB or 6MB L2 cache memory.
The PC comes in with one of the following speeds:
Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor (Penryn)
T9600 (2.80GHz) /T9400 (2.53GHz) / P9500 (2.53GHz)
In the case of Processor which built in 6MB L2 cache memory
P8600 (2.40GHz)/ P8400 (2.26GHz)
In the case of Processor which built in 3MB L2 cache memory
These processors operate at 1066MHz bus clock (FSB).

Wich tools can i used to try to mod the 2.30 (last) BIOS ?
It's a PM45 + ICH9M but i dont know the maker of the BIOS (nothing written on it).
Of course, my work (new bios) with your help will be shared. It's just a shame that TOSHIBA dont support more CPUs as it must be simple (same series, just frequency is different).

Edit : forgot to say i ever tried Flash Programming Tool, AFUDOS/AFUWIN, v4 in DOS without success.
CPU-Z extract a BIOS file in .TXT but dont specify more informations.

HP ProBook 11 G2 BIOS Boot issue

Hi guys,

I have a BIOS locked HP ProBook 11 G2 I’m trying to save from the rubbish dump.

I hooked up a clip to the bios and dumped the binary to back it up.

I googled the laptop and found the bios binary and flashed it, I then entered the bios and input the HP stuff like the feature byte, serial number etc and disabled the HP Manufacturing Program Mode etc.

I got it working fine, bios unlocked and everything and boots fine. BUT every time you turn it on there’s a massive delay before even the backlight turns on.

During this time the caps lock led does 5 slow flashes.

I cannot find any info on this. There’s plenty of threads online where people say they get 5 slow and 3 fast flashes and this indicated the following:

The embedded controller has timed out waiting for the BIOS to return from system board initialization (end of POST).

However I only get 5 long flashes, and no short flashes and then the system boots fine.

Would anyone have any idea as to what’s going on?

If I flash the original backup bin back onto the chip it boots instantly with no delays, but of course it’s bios locked.

Is the password stored in this chip and not encrypted? That could be another way around it.

I want to replace the current 3g WWAN card (Ericsson H5321) with a Sierra MC7700 card lenovo made an update for compatibility but it doesn't work. If i insert the card in the running Laptop everything works problem free. the current bios is: GAETA8WW (2.68).
This is my first post on here correct me if i did anything wrong

I'd want to unlock all IGPU / DVMT Related settings (so I can work with Hackintosh).
I am not sure if those options (DVMT Pre-allocated, DVMT Memory) are even available in hidden menus, but I hope.
