      Hi there, new to the forum. I could not came up with a solution myself so I decided to ask for a help.
Here is my situation:  I am using a rebranded Tongfang laptop (GM5MG0Y. My laptop shipped with a bios version of N1.06MON04. This version has a Switchable Graphics Option but the dGPU option is not shown. Only MsHybrid and iGPU are shown. However, the exact same laptop with a BIOS version of 2020 has the option to select dGPU. My laptop is MUX capable but they just hid it with a BIOS update. I asked the support for the Bios file that has the dGPU option and they gave it. I also have my current BIOS file. I tried to rollback the bios by trying flashing it with various ways through EFI Shell, Bat Files, AfuWin64, none of them worked. The error I get was  “cannot update bios with different platform name” in all of them. So I am asking if It is possible to enable this option on my current BIOS or is there a way that I can flash the old BIOS to my device?

Hi eveyone
I have an acer nitro 5 an517-51-56yw and I want the Advanced BIOS unlocked.
Would be real glad if you could help me out.
I myslef have gotten as far using the UEFI Tool and the IFRextract to find and translate the line of codes necessary. I really like to learn how to mod bios so if you could tell me what to do from here on out I would really appreciate it.
I will upload both the dump file and the reading.

[Request] GETAC F110G2 BIOS Unlock

Hi everyone, hoping somebody might be able to help!
 
I'm currently working on a GETAC F110 G2 Tablet, and unable to access the BIOS, which annoyingly also doesn't provide the usual Insyde unlock key code hint.
 
I have taken a dump off the BIOS chip using a CH341A Programmer and I also have here a copy of the BIOS from the manufacturer, but, looking at the file size it’s only an update, not the whole file.
 
And this is where I become abit stuck and my software knowledge runs out; it would appear, I think, that if it was possible to overwrite the BIOS region with the update one that would clear the password and secure boot etc ?   but I don’t know how to (having scoured the net pretty thoroughly!)
Or it might be easier to just modify the original file ?
