Lenovo W510: Problems Flashing Bios / Searching for Bios File

Hey everyone,
Im searching for a BIOS-File for my Lenovo W510. I downloaded several different verions, but most of them dont work, when direktly flashed to the SPI Chip (I use a TL866 Programmer).
I found one thats working partially: the BIOS seems to work,
its putting out beep-codes, which imply faulty "password chip" (5xshort, 5xshort),
and not recognised graphic chip (2xlong, 2xshort, afterwards 1xlong, 2xshort in a loop).
The original Backup (.bak) is not working, when flashed direktly on the chip. Since I cant start any operation system, there is no other way to flash it.

My Questions are:
- Do I need to modify the bios-files for flashing over Windows (like I can download from the Lenovo Website) to flash it directly to Flash-Chip?
- Does anyone have working file for my situation or can tell me how to modify my original backup for direct flashing?

Hello,

Which program should I be using to flash a GIGADEVICE GD25B127DSIG (25B127) chip?
This is the BIOS in my CyberpowerPC Gaming laptop (I7, RTX2070) which is a barebones Quanta NL5E with both CPU & GPU soldered on.

I have downloaded the CH341A programmers versions 1.18, 1.34, 1.38 - but none of these have the 25B127 in the chip selection list.

Any help much appreciated.

Hey guys, long time i was online here.
I went to Lithuania over the last month so i grabbed my dusty sony vaio vpcsb1c5e to play some Divinity Original Sin. Yeah old piece of gear but i already soldered new caps and changed quite a lot on that mobo in the last years, so it became my old immortal donky, so far so good. It became too hot. First time in its live even with cleaned cooler, so i went to look for undervolting the radeon 6630m. And it worked ! I extrackted the v-bios actually it has two.. and changed voltages replaced it and bam 0.85 instead of 0.9 and 0.9 instead of 1v in "turbo".
i just wanted to ask here where i can or should promote that. Old gear i know but its working good so far.

Dell Inspiron 7567 - Request

Hi I have a Dell Inspiron 7567 with 1050Ti and i7 7700HQ.
This laptop has its thermal throttle point at really low temps. CPU thermal limit 85°c and GPU limit 74°c. In work load (rendering or gaming) both CPU and GPU is heavily throttling and pc is not usable. Even in daily use temps are bad and fans are ramping up so loud. (they are not controllable btw) I was bypassing these problems with throttlestop and asus gpu tweak ii but I just updated my bios to 1.12.1 and after update Dell restricted this PC even more. Now I can't change my Clock Speeds or CPU voltage. Throttlestop and XTU is greyed out and I'm throttling again. Using computer that running like that is a pain in my [censored]. I really need some support from this community.

I'm using this pc in my business work and I can't afford a new PC right now so I can't "brick" it. I heard that this laptop has a bios writing guard or smth like that and flashing bios is hard to do. So if it's too dangerous I can buy a Ch341a or I can give up because you know bad working pc is better than not having pc.

I managed to extract the dell's exe bios its in the attachment.

LenovoL420 optimisation

May you please remove the whitelist of Lenovo ThinkPad L420: Removal WLAN, mSATA, RAM, add advance options on its BIS and remove CPU restriction (HM65 chipset) for 3rd generation, so I can upgrade it into 7260 AC, mSATA up to 512, RAM up to 16gb and CPU upgrade into i7 3610QE (same socket as my current CPU: i5 2430M.)

I would be happy to receive help as I would like to optimise this laptop, so it will be catrh up with the latest laptops specifications.

Hi !  i need to ask if some1 can unlock this bios.

Ok so I need access to the advanced options in my BIOS on a TOSHIBA Satellite C850-B561 from 2012, I need access to it in order to increase my Intel Integrated Graphic's dedicated VRAM or its minimum shared system memory. Now, I've tried numerous methods to unlock these options such as pressing A just after pressing the F2(BIOS key) on my keyboard or pressing FN+TAB 3 times on the keyboard. So I've come to my last resort of hoping that someone who reads this will make a modded BIOS for me as I have no idea on editing my BIOS, My BIOS is an InsydeH20 v6.80 rev 3.7 and on the BIOS main section it says all this,
System Time:
System Date:
CPU Type
CPU Speed
HDD/SSD
ODD
Total Memory Size
System BIOS Version: 6.80
EC Version: 6.00
Language
Now I need access to some more options on the advanced section, On the advanced section I only have all of these,
Boot Speed: Normal
Execute-Disable Bit Capability: Available
Virtualization Technology: VT-x Only
Beep Sound: On
USB Power in Sleep Mode: Enabled
USB Legacy Emulation: Enabled
>System Configuration
Now inside of the System configuration section, I don't have what I'm looking for. Please help me out, I don't have any other options available. I have experience with software and Hardware, Mostly with Hardware but never with the BIOS

ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ not booting

ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ is unresponsive and I've been asked to see if its a bad bios. Able to read the MX25L6473F with flashrom, but I quickly see that in the age og UEFI I'm on thin ice.

Bios is "64Mb AMI UEFI Legal BIOS with multilingual GUI support" and BIOS downloads come in three different flavours (ROM/DOS/WIN) which all decompress to a 128kB binary.

I've lookded at https://github.com/LongSoft/UEFITool but can't see how to update the flashrom backup with the downloaded BIOS to flash back to the chip. Pointers most welcome!

So I have a Dell Inspiron 14 5458 with a I5 processor and a Nvdia GeForce 920m graphics card. I've decided to upgrade it with an egpu adapter so Ive bought the hardware. Shortly after I've learned about the whitelist thing that Dell does with their ngff ports. I'm really not that of an advanced user and I couldn't find a custom bios for my laptop yet. Should I cancel the adpter order? Also my laptop is being fixed because my Nvidia GeForce 920m had a problem and needs replacement so I can't provide you with additional info for now. I just really need to know if you guys can make a custom bios for this model so whe I get my hands on my laptop I can give you the info but if it's not possible I would like to know about ASAP so I can cancel the orders and don't was anymore money. Please help, I await anxiously your response.

Flash bios on new chip for Aspire 7750G

Hi, i'm unable to erase a Macronix bios chip with model MX25L1005AMC-12G for and Acer Aspire 7750G.
I'be bought new one and need put the currect bios on it for ressurrect my laptop.
I'm unable to bypass the flash protection of the Macronix, anyone have idea of how i can do it?
