ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ not booting

ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ is unresponsive and I've been asked to see if its a bad bios. Able to read the MX25L6473F with flashrom, but I quickly see that in the age og UEFI I'm on thin ice.

Bios is "64Mb AMI UEFI Legal BIOS with multilingual GUI support" and BIOS downloads come in three different flavours (ROM/DOS/WIN) which all decompress to a 128kB binary.

I've lookded at https://github.com/LongSoft/UEFITool but can't see how to update the flashrom backup with the downloaded BIOS to flash back to the chip. Pointers most welcome!

Also if anyone has something like a service manual it would very helpful!

So I have a Dell Inspiron 14 5458 with a I5 processor and a Nvdia GeForce 920m graphics card. I've decided to upgrade it with an egpu adapter so Ive bought the hardware. Shortly after I've learned about the whitelist thing that Dell does with their ngff ports. I'm really not that of an advanced user and I couldn't find a custom bios for my laptop yet. Should I cancel the adpter order? Also my laptop is being fixed because my Nvidia GeForce 920m had a problem and needs replacement so I can't provide you with additional info for now. I just really need to know if you guys can make a custom bios for this model so whe I get my hands on my laptop I can give you the info but if it's not possible I would like to know about ASAP so I can cancel the orders and don't was anymore money. Please help, I await anxiously your response.

Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
I have read that I need a software tool to make a copy of the bios to submit.

Hello everybody!

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I bought a Lenovo Ideacentre for gaming (big error tbh). To be more specific a T540-15icb g. And it has the worst bios I've ever seen. It has like 5 options. Why Lenovo??? What could it cost to enable yourself all the options?

Anyway. I searched the whole internet for an unlocked bios. I asked on the lenovo forums. I tried to enable all the features myself with AMIBCP and UEFITool. NOTHING. Every time I tried it gave me error 18 while flashing. I followed the guide on this site. I tried to follow a youtube video. I couldn't get it working.

So here I am. Asking to someone who has experience in the bios unlocking field. The Chip is an AptioV of course from American Megatrends. If you can, I desperately need all the options unlocked.

I am begging for help, or even just advice. I am going to attach the .rom bios image.

Slow Loading Times and Stuttering after BIOS Update

Hello, I hope all of you are safe and happy. Also wishing you a Merry Christmas!
However, this Christmas is not going very well for me... I recently bought the HP Pavilion Gaming-15 model laptop, which was actually three months ago. Everything was fine. I could play everything without any lag or stutter. But after I updated my BIOS F.21 Rev.A everything went the opposite way. For example, when I try to play Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, it takes up to two minutes to load the game. Before the update, it was nearly five seconds or so. The same thing goes for the Battlefield series. When I enter Battlefield 1, 5, 4, 3 (doesn't matter actually) it takes up to 10 minutes for me to join a game. And when I enter the game I encounter huge stutters and lags. Also, the maps are not even loading completely.  Almost in every 5-6 seconds, my framerate drops to 5. Then it goes up to 60. And this continues... 
 
I tried checking my hard-drives all of them are fine and healthy, did the complete system check with the F2 button. (The one you can enter when you boot up) everything seems fine. I really want to know what the problem really is. I tried to update the BIOS even further to F.40 Rev.A but still no luck. I noticed that when I open my games folder, it also takes a while to load up the icons. And the fans are not doing very well since the F.21 Rev.A update. Any help will surely make my day. Lenovo Yoga 260 not starting.

Hey, i have a LEnovo Yoga 260. The laptop was starting and worked perfectly. But since some days i need to push the powerbutton several times before it booted. I tried to update the BIOS with the Lenovo tool. During the final reboot, the Laptop turned off and did not start again.

Could someone help me? I have a 8-pin programmer.

Greetings Everyone!

Please help me to unlock the bios of my Acer Aspire XC-605. I need to have an option for Primary Graphics Display. It always display on my Intel Onboard graphics. I have plugged y Nvidia GT 710 card and it is not detecting on PCIe x16 slot.. I did reset/clear cmos. I also tested my video card on other PC and it works fine. I assumed that bios utility is lacking and cannot display on my external graphics adapter. Thank you in advance.

Searching for a unlocked BIOS for my HP Pavilion

Hi! This is my first thread here. I'm a new member of this site, so I don't know how all of this works.
I'm posting this message because I'd like to update the WLAN card of my HP Pavilion dv7t-xw899av (before I changed its processor it was an HP Pavilion dv7-6c05ss), but I found out my BIOS has a whitelist which doesn't let me use the most recent WLAN cards, only the few ones that are listed there.
I'd like to get help so I can change it. Maybe someone could share a compatible BIOS for my device that has the whitelist removed. I'd appreciate so much.
Specifically, my BIOS is an Insyde H2O version 03.60.48F.1B.
Also I'd like to know if it's possible to change the boot logo, so I could design my own (I'd like to use the new HP logo that appears on latest HP laptops). Thank you all in advance. I hope I'm not being redundant repeating a thread that already exists, but as I said before, I'm new here and I don't undestand basically nothing.

Config: i7 2600 (non K), Asrock B75M GL, Dual DDR3 1600.
My problem is that this motherbond only shows me 1333Mhz maximum for memory, there is no 1600 or higher. I've made a dump of bios, please look at it, maybe there is a chance to activate higher memory frequencies.
I've already used Amibcp and set requiered fields to "USER", but it doesn't work. I've set up memory freq to 1600mhz in Amibcp, but memory still works on 1333Mhz

I got an old PC as a gift a few days ago. It has an Gigabyte GA-H55M-D2H (Rev. 1.4) board and is running an i3 550. I want to upgrade the machine as cheap as possible. I got a cheap Xeon X3480 (cpu106E5) on eBay a few days ago. Before buying that CPU I googled a lot about the compatibility of that specific board. A few users are running other Xeon X34xx CPUs. I some Benchmark-Lists a found even my x3480. But when I received my CPU and put it in my board it would not start. CPU fan spins a few seconds, then it restarts into an infinite loop.
At first I thought it could be a missing microcode for that specific CPU. So I researched for a few hours and tried to modify the latest available bios (in this case F4: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/B...d2h_f4.exe). After a few attempts I was able to update the microcode, as you can see on the attached screenshots.

But even after including the updated microcode the machine won't start. Still turns on and off on a loop with a fan that spins for a few seconds.

I attached screenshots from CPU-Z (CPU and Motherboard) as well as pictures of the available bios options.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get the mentioned processor to run? Or could help me adding CPU support for this specific Xeon to the bios?

Lenovo W510: Problems Flashing Bios

Hey everyone,
Im searching for a BIOS-File for my Lenovo W510. I downloaded several different verions, but most of them dont work, when direktly flashed to the SPI Chip (I use a TL866 Programmer).
I found one thats working partially: the BIOS seems to work,
its putting out beep-codes, which imply faulty "password chip" (5xshort, 5xshort),
and not recognised graphic chip (2xlong, 2xshort, afterwards 1xlong, 2xshort in a loop).
The original Backup (.bak) is not working, when flashed direktly on the chip. Since I cant start any operation system, there is no other way to flash it.

My Questions are:
- Do I need to modify the bios-files for flashing over Windows (like I can download from the Lenovo Website) to flash it directly to Flash-Chip?
- Does anyone have working file for my situation or can tell me how to modify my original backup for direct flashing?
