Hello, i have this laptop and was greeted by the dredded 104 error for unsupported wifi card when i tried to upgrade the card to a better one. I cant even seem to get any bios update from hp website so hoping someone can help. iv attached a pic of the bios for full details.

Hello, I am new to this forum, I need help please, I bought an m.2 nvme but the bios of my motherboard brings the deactivated options and the m.2 does not recognize me, I looked for how to modify the bios to unlock more options but at the moment of flashing I get the following error.

GPU stuck at PCIe x1 speed.

Hi,

I've a Dell Optiplex 755 PC with a C2D E8400 CPU and an Nvidia GT440 GPU and for some reason my GPU is stuck at PCIe x1 speed, as you can see here:

Games stutter a LOT unless I cap the frame rate. And even with capped frame rates, frame times jump all over the place and even 60FPS with vsync feels laggy and stuttery.

I've tried everything. Reseated the GPU, tried various system BIOS, even reflashed my GPU's BIOS to previous versions but no luck and I'm honestly running out of idea. I've Googled it up a little and it appears the problem is related to Intel's Q35 chipset which doesn't seem to like Fermi GPUs, for some reason or another.

My question is; is there a solution to this weird problem?

P.S This is my very first post here and I've honestly no idea if this is the right place to ask such a question. Feel free to move this thread to a relevant sub-forum.

Hello.\i would like to ask  for a mod in my Acer X3450 as to enable crossfire .It seems that the onboard radeon 4250 is disabled in bios when i install my radeon 5570 and while i am happy with the performance i would like a little more boost by enabling the onboard gpu.Can a bios guru help me out on this?You can download the bios from the official acer site.thank you .

H97-HD3 1.2V+ Vcore unlock

Hey there,
I have a H97-HD3 with a i7 4790k. The problem is that I can't go higher than 1.2V in Bios settings. When I patch the last Bios version from Gigabyte the Vcore is set default to 1.25V but when I change something after the update the vcore is back to 1.2V. Is there a chance to modify the bios to disable or change the max. Vcore in the Bios file with hex editor from 1.2 to 1.3+ Volt? I have tried it with the Gigabyte OC tool (have modified the xml profile) but these doesn't seem to work also due internal software limits...

Hi, I'm looking for unlock Lenovo S340 BIOS, is the same BIOS in all the S340 versions. The thing is I want to increase the grafic vram over 2GB but Lenovo does not allows me to do that even when the APU (Ryzen 5 3500U) can do that.

Hallo,

i like to know if its possibel to make a bios for my evga sr-2.

i need a nvme and pcie bifuraction support, so thad i chan use multipel nvme ssd's ( asus hyprer m.2 and 4x 970 evo plus nvme ssd's )

this is a bios mod from DeathBringer made in 2017 for me to support the xeon x5698 cpu's.

Insyde H2O UEFI BIOS which cannot boot in UEFI need some help

I recently handled a Lenovo Y470 laptop. It uses a Insyde H2O UEFI BIOS but strange thing is it cannot boot in UEFI mode. I downloaded HWINFO and found the ME is v7, so I downloaded Intel ME System Tools v7 r2 and used the FPT DOS tool dumped the BIOS. I want to update the CPU Microcode(i5-2540m), EFI drivers of video, SATA, mSATA, LAN. And I want to use the UEFI boot mode which Lenovo hidden. The BIOS shows as Insyde H2O UEFI in aida64 and hwinfo app.

BIOS is dumped with fpt -bios -d command attached below. I think it should be the same as dumped by CH341A programmer.

I also want to unlock the WLAN whitelist restriction. I read some thread introduce some hex replacement method, any side effects of this method like slow booting?
I tried EzH2O and winhex but failed to save the change of hex. I switched to UEFITOOL to extract the body part of Section_PE32_image_4082D1D0-1744-4EE3-803E-B8EE3F07B2FE_OemNvsDriverDXE_body.efi, then replace 8680890086801613 with 8680b10886807044, replace 8680850086801113 with 8780DC0700000000. This solves the whitelist wlan issue. But I found the booting process becomes sluggish or laggy. Maybe I should choose another approach to bypass the whitelist. Searching the hex of original bluetooth device VID and PID I cannot find anything in the dumped BIOS. Maybe I should not replace the bluetooth hex as above, since bluetooth uses USB bus. Any advice would be appreciated.
