Compaq CQ58 BIOS Flashing

Hey guys, So I want to learn how to flash BIOS on this system. I have googled a bit and the only thing I can find is insydeflash. So I used insydeflash with the /g command and got a .fd file. So far so good I thought, but when trying to flash it back it gives me an error.. Am I doing something wrong? I will try and provide as much information as possible
Im using Insydeflash V5.29

Hey Guys i cant overclock this machine at all and it would be great if someone can tell me if the attached bios file which i have currently updated to and flashed can be modified to allow bios overclocking.

This is a Jingsha Bios for the X89-L Board (My board is having issues so I dumped the bios thinking I could fix it.)

I have that exact combo, however my board acts the same regardless of the bios installed. I.E. I erased the rom completely and it did the same thing (waiting on RMA support). If someone could Tinker with this, or maybe the stock rom will help someone who needs an untouched version. My board is in a NO-BEEP NO-POST state, everything powers on, the cpu heats up, but nothing happens, I've changed everything but the board and cpu, but its the same result.

I wonder if that chipset is even recognized by the bios, but have no idea how to check.

This bios was dumped using an EZP2010(and a dip8 grabber). The Chip is an SPI FLASH BY MXIC MX25L1605D with a 2MB Size.

I bought a nice new laptop and went to the bios to enable virtualization....and it is no where in the settings.  It actually seemed like most settings were not accessible.  I tried pressing "A" for advanced settings when the BIOS loaded or even FN + tab 3x  and that didn't work either.  I have no clue why this BIOS would be so lite.  Its a ryzen 9 3900x.  I uploaded some SS of my system information.  I am unsure if i need to flash a new more updated bios or a moded bios.  But i need Virtualization enabled on my laptop. :-(  Can someone please help me? I would be greatly indebted to you.

I have a HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-cn1073 i7-8565U @ 1.80Ghz and I update the BIOS from Insyde F.16 to Insyde F.23 , because HP said I have a BIOS update and  I think that F.23 is easier to mod than F.16? Anyways I was wondering if someone can create a mod for my bios. I just want to have access to the advanced menu, and the old "f10 + a" didn't work bcz it's for older model Insyde Bios's. heres the ZIP to the backup of the bios I made with the HP tool.

Graphics driver for Alienware 17 R5

Hello, my problem is:
I wanted to install windows 8.1. The installation was successful, and the windows using the "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" driver to my GTX 1070.
Every time when I want to install the offical nvidia geforce driver (the version is not matters, tried a lot of them) the OS stuck in an infinite "freeze loop" If I move my mouse cursor sometimes shows but 1-2 sec and gone. Mostly black screen. If I turn on the caps lock (the key led is on) same 1-2 sec and turning off. I have tried install the nvidia driver in pure windows install and tried install all the windows update and tried after that. None of those worked Sad
I dumped my BIOS looking something maybe I can use. I found some hidden settings but I don know if I allow them helps me or not.
Someone has any idea what is going on? I know Dell officially only supports windows 10 and yes w10 is working fine, but I really want to use w8.1 if that possible somehow...
My main OS is linux and everything is working fine on linux too.
Maybe I have some BIOS restriction? Any idea?

I have a Intel Xeon E5-2699 V4 QHUP Engineering Sample
Core Stepping - B0(QK10, QK7J, SR2JS)
CPUID – 406F1 (QK10, QK7J)
 
I have a Huananzhi X99-F8 mainboard
Bios Version-5.11
Build Date-May 25th 2020
Brand-American Megatrends (2019)
 
I would like to use this CPU on this mainboard, the system does POST fine, the CPU does appear in the BIOS normally.
But when loading Windows 10 it simply does not work. At the moment I am temporarily using a spare CPU.
Other people say Huananzhi X99 mainboards have trouble with Engineering Sample chips, I’d say is there a possibility to update the micro code, or roll back the bios to an older version with support for the Engineering Sample?
Please help.

Hi everyone, I would like to ask if it is possible to add Phenom II x6 1100T support to the ASrock Am2Nf3-Vsta bios
In the latest release, v.3.30, support for the Phenom II x4 980 has been added.

As a reference bios I chose the one of Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H v.1.0.

Asus F541UA - unlock request / bios conversion

Hello everyone,
I have a very bad day Big Grin I don't know how I missed that but I upgraded bios in my laptop F541UA with version devoted to F541UAK...

After upgrade battery doesn't work. When I found out that something is wrong I've tried to install the correct bios version but problem is that I can't install/flash bios.

Every time I am trying to flash with F541UA bios I get information that:

"The bios file is invalid"

I tried with Asus WinFlash and via EzFlash from bios.

Could someone modify F541UA bios so it will be read as F541UAK?
