I still have a problem. I have a CF-D1KW200MZ with Bios V2.50L11 M10. Now I have the version BIOS_D1_V250L14.exe here.
https://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/dl/do...score=0.17759083211422&sri=14646542&trn_org=2
When starting it brings with the following error message.
„This Model is Not supported“

The problem is that the seller has kept secret that it is a custom bios. Panasonic doesn't want to help. Is there a way to unpack the BIOS_D1_V250L14.exe and get the actual biosfile. It just seems to be the exe himself who queries the bios at the beginning. The M10 is probably the identifier for the custom bios. Alternatively, one could perhaps overwrite the identifier in the bios so that the exe thinks it is a board without custom bios. I'm not sure where the exe is asking. The bios is an aptio. I hope you have an idea for me how I can get there.

What can you do if your Bios chip seems to be write protected using CH341a

Well I'm now 0 for 2 after years of flashing everything without problems.

This time it is an AOpen DEX4501 (Core 2 Duo, conventional AMI bios). I had it set up with a temporary power supply, and right after the bios was erased (flashing from DOS) the power cut out.

So it appears I have an erased bios--at least when I read it with the CH341a tool. However, it can't identify the actual bios chip, and gives a Code 25 "Write timed out" if you try to program it. (Tried the various versions up to 1.34, which did the least since it it can't ID the chip, it won't let you go any farther.

I tried using the ASProgrammer and again--can't ID chip, but can read and confirm that it is erased (blank check), but when I try to program it just sits, and when I finally cancel I get the message "Possible Protection is enabled".

So deets:

Chip is Winbond 25x16AV -- data sheet is online, and does seem to suggest that there is some write protection, but again, I am out of my depth. (It does show as a chip choice in the ASProgrammer--but not in the CH341 tool where I used the "Common" settings for 25x16 with no success.)

Any experts who can help me out?

Hi, I'm getting interested in modifying bios. Can you advise me how to edit the bios bin file to unlock advanced settings?

Is it possible to modify the BIN in HEXA to unlock the advanced mod?

I already have a bin file for my laptop. (tested and functional)
I own two SOP8 programmers - CH314A and TL866II Plus.
Both programmers are tested and functional.

In other forums I read that for AN517-51 there is no shortcut key to unlock the advanced mod. (for example 3x Fn+Tab)

BIN File:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/wln5rnwo2...7.bin/file
WIN file:
https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles...&SC=EMEA_7

I'm sorry for my bad english.

Thank you for your help

Lenovo Yoga 11e dead BIOS

Hello,

I have a Lenovo Yoga 11e 20G8 that I tried to flash to the latest BIOS ( from 1.10 to 1.38) and it just turned off during the flashing process.
Spins the fan at max when powered on but that's about it. Tried the AMI BIOS recovery option, no dice. In hindsight, stupid idea to jump so many BIOS versions but hey, here we are Smile

I got a CH341A programmer and I have removed the board. BIOS is WINBOND 25Q64FVS1Q or 25Q64FV for short.

I can read the BIOS just fine and I saved it to my PC. Output was an 8MB file.

I tried going back to version 1.10 since I know for sure that was working. Problem is, the BIOS file from Lenovo is 8.93MB in size, is a .FL1 file and I cannot flash it back since it exceeds the 8MB limit.

Can someone please let me know what am I doing wrong?

2. how the heck do i flash the bios.
ive tried a lot of tutorials / guides from other laptops but i cant seem to finde one that fits the Z50-75 lenovo.

G'day,

i'd need AMIBCP v4.53... whatever to edit an Aptio IV aka MSI Click Bios 4 at a MSI 990fxa-gaming mobo,
bc CPU-Ratio and Voltage dont show up.
I've had already modified this bios but then I lost the data.

I've searched through all the internet in the last 2 hours but all links were dead... I do understand why.

If anyone has the complete set of AMI's tools i'd take them.

thx in advance

Verification Failure CH341a - W25Q128FV Help

Good Evening,
I recently requested the help of getting some features unlocked on my Acer G9-793 Laptop which has a W25Q128FV chip. Dumped fine, Flashed the modded bin and cannot get it to verify through the CH341a program (verification errors!) or boot. The laptop turns on with all lights lit but does not post to bios, sits for 10 seconds and restarts. I've searched the internet high and low for a resolution. I've seen some recommend version 1.18 of CH341a however when I use this it gives an error for the bin being too large. Currently I've tried flashing v1.18, v 1.29, v 1.30, v 1.34 under both W25Q128BV AND W25Q128FV. I have also used AsProgrammer 1.4.0 & 1.4.1. None with success. Has anyone else had any experience dealing with this chip alongside this acer insyde bios? I am getting very tired of repeatedly taking this laptop completely apart due to the chip being directly under the keyboard.  I have double checked my pin configuration on the CH341a itself and I know that is correct.
Aside from desoldering the chip out and trying that, I am out of options

Any help is greatly appriciated!

Asrock b85m pro4 .bin file

Hi everyone!

I have a bricked Asrock b85m Motherboard, something went wrong during bios update and now it won't post.

I purchased a CH341A Programmer so I can flash the chip with a new BIOS, the problem is I need a .bin or .hex file.

The problem I have is that BIOS downloads on the AsRock web page are not in the .bin file type.
https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B85M%20P...x.asp#BIOS

I tried to change the file type of the 50 file found on the ROM download but that didn't work.
I searched the web and no luck finding the .bin file

Can someone smart here please help me get the .bin file for this?
Thanks in advance!

Brendan

[REQUEST] Acer Aspire 4715Z / 4315 to support CPU Intel T7250 / newer Merom based

$

Hello! Hope you're safe and have nice days.

I have my own old laptop since 2007, Acer Aspire 4715Z (from service manual, it's similar to 4315). I want to use it again with upgrading some parts, including CPU. Current specs are Intel T2310 (1.46ghz) with GL960 chipset. I've bought Intel T7250 with 2.0ghz clockspeed and replaced the old one. But, it freezes while booting (at starting windows 7 OS). I assume it lacked microcode of newer CPUs in BIOS.

Current BIOS is v1.16, but I forgot where the BIOS source from (so stupid back then), so dont know if it's modded or not. The latest BIOS from Acer website is v1.15 (attachment below). I want to add CPU support for all Merom-based processors (based on this references, it can run on my machine), but I dont know how to modify the BIOS. Huh  Is it safe to add microcode to v1.15 bios (latest) and then downgrade it from current BIOS?

Anyone, please help me?? I searched for around 3 days and still got no solutions Confused Thanks before. (and sorry for my bad english)
