Acer Aspire 5745 BIOS Recovery

Hello,,

I have Acer 5745 laptop
Serial Number LXPTW0C036040130B02500

Recently  i updated BIOS driver and now laptop doesn't boot up. When i power it on, power button LED startes blinking and continuos Fan Spinning. Where  do i go from here? I have downloaded Phoenix WinCrisis.

Hello. After changing the pc card it displays error 1802. I uploaded bios ver f6j949usa.iso
but it didn't help. I am asking for help in deleting the whitelist.

[Request] Zotac ER51070 BIOS, CPU Support for Ryzon 7 2600

Hello,

I have a Zotac ZBOX Magnus ER1070 with a Ryzen 5 1400. I want to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 2700 with the same TDP of 65W. Tryed to exchange the CPU, but the Computer dosent Boot up anymore with the new Ryzen 7. The latest BIOS vom Zotac is installed "Version 2k190425" and the Zotac support tells me, they dont support other CPUs than the delivered CPU.

Is there a way to mod the BIOS for the the Ryzon 7? The Chipset (A320) supports the Ryzon 7.

Sorry for my english lol i'm french ;-)

I have a laptop HP ENVY - 17-n101nf which I think has the unfortunate white list, because I wanted to put new WIFI card and I have error 704 when starting the laptop :-(

The latest REV52 firmware (already install) is this one below, which it seems to have to unlock to make my new WIFI card work, so I need your help.
I hope I have been understood.
I wish you all my best wishes for 2020 from the south of France!

I found new chip on ebay but now what is going to happen if I solder blank chip?  Undecided

I dont have back up off old BIOS  Sad

Can I flash some ones Back up or I need new motherboard?

HP Pavilion DV6-2170ep UEFI Bios mode

Hello all from the forum

I have a laptop Pavilion DV6-2170ep from more a less 2010, and i'm trying to install windows 8.1 in a 4Tb Hard Disk.

The thing is that since is a 2010 laptop, it doesn't allow UEFI support option on the bios, so when i try to install windows, it splits the 4 Tb hard drive into 2 Tb hard drives, and the second hard drive becomes useluss

The most recent bios update is from 2010 and still doesn't enable the UEFI support

I would like to request if somebody can mod this bios so it supports UEFI mode, or provide another bios (even from another dv6 model) that can allow that UEFI mode selection for this computer.

I would like to have a rom dump of this BIOS - I have a programmer who can do the tweaking for converting this laptop to a Hackintosh. I simply need to have a dump of the ROM. There is also .sig file with the .bin file.

[REQUEST] Dell 3531 corrupted bios with dump

Hello folks, I'm new here, and hoping for help.  I have a Dell 3531 giving a one beep error at boot with a blackscreen indicating bios failure.  I ordered a CH341A and cable clip, and after a several hour fight, finally managed to pull a dump file out of the EN25Q32 bios chip using flashrom and the CH341A provided utility.  Both dumps match in file size, and the 341 utility gave a message saying the file content didn't match.  I didn't catch the error exactly, but I can probably reproduce it if necessary.  Anyway, I was hoping for a clean bios file to load into the chip with flashrom to get the laptop working again.

I have some electronic background from years ago, but the newer platforms of pc and laptop are a bit over my head these days.  I read in the specs for the EN25Q32 bios that it was write protected and I'm not sure reflashing it is possible, but I have it appart and the hardware still set up, so I'm hoping for some more experienced input.  I tried loading the extracted file via USB repeatedly with no luck also.  I'm not entirely sure the extracted file I have is correct though.  Thanks in advance!   Here is the latest bios version from dell  3531A03.exe

Dell Latitude E6520 Corrupted bios

Hey everyone i have a Dell Latitude E6520 with what i believe is a corrupted bios as it will not post, i cannot get into the bios or boot menu,

i have a programmer that i was going to try and read the bios from a working e6520 and seeing if i can flash it to this one that is messed up

however i cannot find any information on what bios chip it uses or where on the motherboard it is located, does anyone have any advice i can try?

Recover Samsung NC10 Phoenix Bios

Hi all,

I have an old samsung nc10, that suddenly stop working (black screen at startup, HDD spinning a bit, but no activities, no beep if RAM, HDD is removed).
I guess the BIOS has been corrupted.

I can see here that phoenix bios can be restored with Crisis tool but I have no success with it.

I have tried:
* unplug battery and supply
* plug crisis USB stick (prepared under Win10) with original 11CA bios on it
* press alt+esc / alt+b / win+b
* plug power supply
...
each time nothing more that usual: black screen, hdd spinning, no USB activity

Did some one know:
* if it is possible to use recovery on it?
* the good key sequence or procedure to start boot block on this laptop?
* is there other operation as shunting the CMOS strap also?

I have started to disassemble the original bios to see if I can find a start condition but it seems to be a huge task ...
