Hello,
I have got msi b85-g43 with i5 4460, i want to overclock it. The performance on the 3.4GHZ is pretty poor.
Can anyone help me in unlocking bios of my motherboard?
Now I have got the newest 3.A version: https://www.msi.com//Motherboard/support/B85-G43
I can upload some screenshots of the BIOS.
I am newbie is modifying so i can't do it myself.

[request] ASUS Prime H310M-D BIOS editing

I am trying to modify my motherboard BIOS, but I am still newbie to do that.
What exactly I want to do is to remove the multiplier limit.
The BIOS does not allow me to change multiplier out of stock values because it is H310 chip which does not allow overclocking.
I also want to reveal BCLK adjustment option which is maybe hidden but only monitored.
I am also thinking about disabling Intel ME completely, but I can do that myself later after this.

Dear BIOS experts,
Unfortunately also at my laptop the bios settings are very limited.
I need the CPU settings in order to disable speedstep, cstates, and so on.
I have the bios file.
Would anyone be so kind to activate the settings?

Hi.

I have been succesfully gone with add on a NVme UEFI boot on "common" motherboard  such ASUS MSI Asrock atc...

now i have a HP brend desktop using a I7 4770 CPU and inside Bios i see clearly secure boot option.

Is it possible to add a NVme module into Bios ?

Which tools must be used to extract (read) the onboard Bios ROM, add the NVme module and flash the Bios back on the Mobo?

hi,
 i wanted to modify a rom for a Msi x58 Pro-E and have the bios rom in an *.8f0 file format.
actually i thought with AMIBCP4.53 i could edit it. but this file format is not supported. 

are there any bios config tools that support 8f0 ?

I find this old bios in a old USB driver. If any one want it just get. It's the original A102 bios from Schenker's w110er. Premabios mess up my bluetooth so I update with original bios to give my old 110er to my friend!

Hello folks!

I´m new here. Found this forum after a 2 years of searching. 5 years ago i got a PC with MSI mainboard from a friend. Everything was cool with this PC, but one day i´ve decided to setup a admin pw on this thing. I dont remember why i did this, and also i do not remember the passwort anymore. In In this 2 years I ve tried many passwords that i actually use, aswell i ve tried all the methods described on the internet, JBAT, CMOS Battery removal combined with taking the board from electricity supply for couple of months. Also tried all kind of software tools, some of them were from 1998. Yeah all the universal pw like "AAAMMMIII", "LKWPETER" and all this did not given me ANY result. So today i´ve figured out by reading this forum, why the password dont dissapeare. There was an tricky option, that i ve turned off. This option called "Clear Password", and if you set it off, the pw is saved somewhere a section where it cannot be deleted. Not even by reflashing bios. Long story short, now i´m here and pretty desperate, and begging you guys to help me. I´ve started trying to dump & mod by myself, but i get error messages when i try to use fpt. Yeah and there was also a warning by a advanced user, if i dont exactly know what i actually doing, i should put my fingers away. Otherwise i will end up with a bricked pc.
Thats why i ve decided to start a tread and asking you guys for help. please help me someone! Smile

VAIO VPCEG25FL InsydeH20 Bios Bricked

Hi all,
I recently updated my laptop's bios, but it seems that it didn't go as expected.

My laptop turned off and when I turn it on only the CPU light flashes slightly and the USB ports appear to work.

I followed the forum tutorials, downloaded the BIOS file, unzipped it, copied the .fd file to my memory formatted in FAT32, used the Phoenix Tool to rename it, but it didn't work.

I have tried with several key combinations and I observed that when pressing Fn + Esc fan turns on for a few seconds.

I attach the file that I have been using to try to revive my laptop.

I appreciate all the help possible.

HELP with BRICKED DELL BIOS EDIT

DELL BIOS MOD REQUEST:

Hi, Sorry not sure if is the right forum but here goes...

I bricked my laptop while trying a basic reinstall of Windows 10, my USB device didn't appear in the UEFI Boot Menu so I selected to try the Legacy Boot Option, the USB drive appeared I selected it, it loaded but said it couldn't find a bootable image, I pressed the option to reboot and from then it has been bricked, I think I'm stuck somewhere between POST and the BIOS due to boot guard/secure boot or similiar, it powers up for a while (10 sec) then the fan revs up and it shuts down. I can enter the BIOS recovery by pressing ESC and CTRL while plugging in the AC adapter, it reads a Bootable USB stick but I get nothing onscreen, i think the boot guard is blocking the drivers.

I purchased a CH341A Flash Programmer with SOP8 Test Clip and have extracted the BIOS from both my bricked XPS 9550 and another operational XPS 9550 I have borrowed using Flashrom on a Raspberry Pi, these BIN files are in the same directory as the RW Everything Report below. I thought it would be best to reflash the bricked XPS bios chip with the image extracted from the operational XPS bios chip, but after reading about all the Device Id's etc, I'm not sure how simple that is or if the normal SLIC process would be sufficient.

I'm very well out of my depth in this regard, I have been doing a lot of reading but I'm still not feeling confident with what I have to do exactly, so if someone could help out it would be most appreciated.

LENOVO [B50-70] Flashing Bios Error- decompress failed?!?!

Lenovo B50-70 with a 9dcn34ww bios version
takes about 5 min to start booting windows
first i have enabled bios backflash
then tried to re-flash using 9dcn34ww or 9dcn32ww
in both trials  i get the same message after rebooting 

"InsydeH2O – Secure Flash 
Error : Decompress failed!!! 
Please press any key to reset system"

Hello. the motherboard is the last bios 7.15

I bought a new video card radeon rx 560, but it does not start. (On newer computers worked)
I also read here that someone was able to update the BIOS to support new graphics card:

I unhidden them all (or most of them i think), went to PCI rom priority and switched it to Legacy ROM, as well as putting video oprom to disabled unless uefi etcetc. Gave the darn thing a reboot with the new gpu and it worked! I modified bios with amibcp 4.55, but I cant flash mod BIOS, - write lock error. tell me how to do it? on motherboard have jumper flash_override, but didn't work.

Lenovo Legion Y520 IKBA BIOS Unlock

Hi!
I've got an issue (maybe damaged sensor of thermal throttling?) that blocks CPU clock on 0.8GHz and it can't unlock without restarting BIOS. It happens only when i don't plug in my laptop and im working on battery. Could anybody help me unlock the advanced options of my BIOS, please, because i think that in actual one some settings are on bad state, but i can't access to them.
