I'm kinda new to bios flashing and I just follow instructions to avoid spending someone else's time and pretty much try to learn things my self. But this time I'm kinda stuck after failing to recover the bios.

basically when attempting to recover the bios by prepared usb and hitting fn+esc the laptop just turned on and led is steady full fan speed which makes me think that. I did something wrong. But to make sure I left the laptop for a good 5 minutes before turning it off. When trying to attempt a 2nd try the laptop turns on fan spins for 1 second then laptop turns off so I may have screwed the bios. The only option now is to use a eeprom programmer to rewrite the bios to the chip. Thing is I don't think the .fd file is what I need to flash the chip. The laptop wasn't able to boot or load to bios reason I tried to recover the bios so no way for me to get a dump.

Anyone can enlighten me on how to process .fd files into the actual rom or bin file that I can use to flash to a chip?

My RAM supports 2400Mhz according to CPU-Z and HWINFO64 but it runs at 1866Mhz. I want to be able to change it to its rated speed, I guess I need the advanced menu.

I have an eGPU adapter on the way. I don't know whether I'll need to remove whitelist for PCIe port for WLAN and also disable the dGPU through BIOS.

Hi. I want to bios flash my ASUS P5G41T-M LX Motherboard by using a bios mod. Please sir/mam can you mod my bios so that the CPU multiplier is unlocked?. Even if you can't unlock the CPU multiplier please make the modded bios have unlocked overclocking settings? like CPU Ratio/Multiplier etc.

Hello, I've recently updated my bios from https://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/NH5...Ax_RHx(Q)/ for my model I chose NHxxRC_RDx_B10707.zip. I've succesfully updated my bios with this file Download with attached logo for boot screen. The metabox logo was cool however after updating the bios the clevo logo is kinda ugly. I tried researching how to mod myself but couldn't get much resource. Please help me change the logo.

CPU: I7-9750h
Memory: 16GB 2666 mhz
GPU: RTX 2060
Board: NH5x_7xRCzRDz
BIOS: Insyde Ver 1.07.07

Sorry in Advance, this is as much information I could provide. I'm willing to get more information if needed. Please instruct me through, I'm not good at this stuff.


OFF TOPIC:
I notice some changes with cpu voltage in intel xu after updating and experience more heating. It might be just me, I reundervolted it, changes few TDP settings.

Last BIOS

I have previous version too - 1.06 (exe and binary) if necessary, immediately if necessary, immediately lay out.

In compability list for my S340-15API exist Intel 9462NGW  with same pins and keys as my 9560NGW from another laptop.

I test my S340-15API (Ryzen 3500U) with my Intel 9560NGW it not detected and not appear as unknown device in pci-e bus.
My 9560 from another laptop:

9462NGW from compability list for my 81NCxxxxxx S340-15API:

Another buyer test Intel version S340-15IWL with Intel 9260NGW it also not detected, although his laptop is on the Intel platform...

I found 2 reviews T495 and T495s on the network confirming that there is no and cannot be any problem with the performance of the 9260NGW / 9560NGW / AX200 and 8265NGW on the AMD platform as part of the S340.

It is a pure lock in the BIOS through the whitelist by Lenovo. 100%.

Please help, unlock BIOS 1.06 and 1.08.

How to Change The UEFI Shell from x64 to x86

Hallo,

I have a tetratab casebook 3 tablet - laptop. I want to install Windows 10 x86 because it has only 2gb of RAM, but the uefi shell is x64. Is there a way to bypass the problem, or to change the UEFI Shell to x86 version?

Hello to all sirs and mods... Please unlocked my bios to access hidden menu setting on my insyd bios and whitelist remove to my wifi card slot.... please please i really badly needed to my egpu it wont work cause of the whitelistening of wlan card slot and for more option needed on hidden bios setup for egpu requirements, i dump my bios rom using ch431a with clip... please help thanks

Size DOES Matter!

Hello, I am new here and also new to bios in general. I have an old Acer Aspire X3200 with a DA078L AM2 motherboard.(yep that old) it was given to me a few years ago i use it as my DAW.

It used to access bios by pressing ESC preboot. Now all that comes up is "ACHI BIOS is installed!!", I have also tried to boot with no drives at all then it
says "ACHI BIOS not installed!!" Huh

I have taken out battery to reset CMOS,
I have flashed bios with the two available Bios  (To my knowledge!) with Winflash,
It seem to change correctly according to Windows System Information tool.
The only DOS version i can find is the older R01-A4
but when i flashed with that the program loaded up but cancelled as it stated "File Size Does Not Match"!
If anybody could give me any suggestions on how to fix i would be very grateful!
I need to boot to bios to get my pcie card recognized!

I would put pics on here, have not sussed how yet.

So i have a Gigabyte X79-UP4 Rev. 1.0, on witch the LAN port has stopped working(GBE).
this causes the system to sometimes refusing to start (in addition to very long POST times) untill resetting the entire bios.

i dont know how bios modding works or what can be done, but i had in mind a few options:

1. Making the bios default to "disabled" GBE controller, if reset.
2. Making the bios not recognize the GBE controller at all.
3. A hardware solution, identifying some component that can be desoldered and make the faulty port/chip stop interfering with post or starting up.
