Help Flashing AMI Bios with Programmer

Hi

I recently purchased an older mini pc for vintage gaming, but in the process of unlocking the bios I stuffed up, and then it didn’t boot. I did back up the bios beforehand, using the American Megatrends tool (AFUWINx64).

So, I purchased an EEPROM programmer (CH341A), which seems to read the contents of the bios chip, and writes. I tried to restore my backup. But it doesn’t seem to boot.

The file that the CH341A programmer is asking for is .bin, and I only seem to have a .rom. I read that the files are the same, just with a different extension – but then I also read it wasn’t.

Can anyone here help me convert a .rom to a .bin, that can successfully be flashed using my programmer?

Dell Precision T7610 Hardware Whitelist bypass or CPU support added

Hey everyone, I am new here and am a hardware junkie. I can tweak and modify a lot of things but this is new grounds for me. (Apologizing in advance if I have Posted this in the wrong section)

Goal: Bypass or add CPU support for a 4930k Processor on a Dell Precision T7610 Workstation Desktop. 

Facts: 
-It is using the C602 Chipset from Intel, it does support the 4930k CPU, but the system won't boot as it isn't a whitelisted/supported processor due to the configuration of the BIOS from Dell. 
- Current BIOS Rev is A17 (Dated 07/09/2018)
-Motherboard Model is 0NK70N the C602 Chipset shows up as X79 on CPUz (Rev. 06)
-LPCIO: SMSC
- It is a dual socket X79/C602 Motherboard, I am limited to DDR3 ECC R-Dimm's and I am fine with that. 

Current CPU is a 1620 v2 4 Core/8 Thread @ 3.7 Ghz

If any information on bypassing, modding or tricks with the hardware would all be greatly appreciated!

I have a Dell Inspiron 3721 laptop, my battery is out of order, 
now I’m constantly receiving a notification message:" WARING: 
The battery cannot be identified. The system will be unable to charge this battaery. 
Strike the F1 key to continue. F2 to run setup setup the utility" 
Help remove this parameter (battery control) in BIOS.

[REQUEST] V6-P7H55E vs P7H55-M bios compatible

Good morning and happy Easter everybody.

I notice that both of the motherboard mentioned in the subject look very similar (miniATX form), not equal (only some chips position), but they have different bios. The first one, V-P7H55E, is part of a barebone pc desktop without any possibility to get more option in the bios; instead the second one, P7H55-M, has lot of options.

So my question is: if i force flash the bios of the V-P7H55E with the firmware of P7H55-M, will i have a bricked motherboard ??

In the other hand is it possible to unlock ??

I've been lurking the forms for a few years a finally made an account lol .

I've been trying to have the whitelist removed for my Lenovo M93p tiny and I've searched the forums everywhere and most of the links are dead.

P.S: As i believe all hidden menus are impossible.
I need to unlock hidden bios menu and increase the vga allocation memory as mine is greyed to 512mb.
Possibly all common hidden option if that as been made for this particular bios.

Thinkpad t430 mobo mod GPU

Hi, i'm new in this forum and i'd like to obtain some answer from people like you.
My laptop t430 is a 2347G7G and bios version 2.79
(i never flash my bios with mod. my only experience with other t430 is write te ec controller for remap the keyboard with an old one)

Now, i'd like to try something different. and i'd like to do in this forum.
my laptop is modded with: 3840qm,nvs5400m 1gb ,dell display, 16gb ram (corsair), 3g ericson, 6300N, 500gb 850evo, 2tb on drive bay.
after deep research i find different ic. for vram.
I love my laptop and id like to upgrade for the last time. my first goals is upgrade the vram from the actual version: from 1gb to 2gb
DDR3 samsung 64x16 96balls K4B1G1646G-BC11 (used bu lenovo)
an replace it with:
DDR3 SKhynix 128x16 96balls H5TQ2G63DFR11C (used by lenovo) 


my question is: after resold this vram chip it was necessary mod the bios?

my after reasarch is this: FBGA
the actual chip is 5400nvs N13P-NS1 and after this i compare the socket and i find the gt940m in this variant N16s-GT-B-A2 and the dimension of the chip and the socket are the same.
now, i try to backup the bios of the  gpu but this isnt in UEFI, it was CSM. and im think its not possible to replace the chip without reflash the bios.
in terms of TDP the we are ok 35w rspect 33w. but the performance increase it was crazy for a laptop.
For who can help me, which is the step to do before i start to solder.
Personally the problem of soldering(reballing) its not a problem. i workt for years repairing smarthphone. but i never do something like this in terms of reprogramming the bios on a laptop.

Hello, first, thanks for this great forum.
There are so much useful infos here !
I need help concerning a laptop : LDLC Mercure MH33-4SW. It's quite unknown, looks like a chinese laptop. It's similar to a Jumper Ezbook 3 laptop : Intel N3350 CPU, 4  Gb of RAM, emmc of 32Gb (Sandisk DF4032)
My laptop has an AMI BIOS, its reference is HK-BI-14-Y116AR120-AA54V-02-G from 11/10/2017.
For now the bios is a really mess, but i'm suggesting a request not because of that... In fact i can not boot from anything else than Windows 10 (which is preinstalled). I would like to install Windows 7 and or Linux instead. The bios has no "Launch CSM" mod, so i have to boot only in UEFI i guess. I also tried to deactivate Secure boot, but without success : even if i see my usb key when trying to boot, i always had a black screen.
Furthermore in the BIOS, i have an option to select the OS (windows/linux), but if i change this parameter, the laptop does not boot anymore (no bootup screen).
I tried almost everything (enroll efi images on a linux usb key for eg) and i run out new ideas at the moment.
Could you help to tweak my bios in order to boot in BIOS mode (not UEFI) or do you know where i can download a bios which permit to do that ?

Hi everyone,

I am currently using a HP G72 laptop, and I need to access advanced BIOS options in order to use an eGPU.

I tried finding a modified BIOS on this website, I found some but not fully compatible with my machine, so I wonder if someone kind enough could help me fulfill this project.

The BIOS is InsydeH2O F.48, which can be found by following this link. There is an older version too, labelled F.35 Rev. A.

Hello everyone,

This is my first post on the forum. And I am strating with asking for help from kind souls on this forum with unlocking the above mentioned Bios for my motherboard. I have used UEFITool and MM

Bios name : P67PE3.21A ( this is the latest BIOS for this motherboard )
Bios manufacturer : American Mega Trends
OEM Bios board : ASRock
Motherboard Link : Fatal1ty P67 Professional

However, after I flashed the bios, I accidentaly deleted the temp files and I have no backup of the extrcated files during installation. As it seems this is a self extracting utility and there is no way to extract the rom or ffs files.

Now the reason I am requesting an unlocked version is due to the following:

1. Add NVME SSD boot support via a PCI adapter.
2. Unlock additional hidden values for overclocking
3. Add additional microcode support for CPU i7-2600K 
4. Update Intel management engine 


Please if it is possible I have attached the Samsung NVME modules if someone can add these to this bios would be a great help.

[HELP] Bricked HP laptop

Hi everyone,

I flashed this on my HP G72. After one reboot, the computer doesn't respond : I get the flashing Caps Lock and black screen.

I tried recovering the BIOS with many methods, but nothing works ; when I use the keys combinations (Win+R, Win+V, Win+B) I don't get any bip. The USB drive flashes a bit but stops after a while, and does it again indefinitely.

I tried renaming the file with Phoenixtools but it did not work either.

I can't boot HP_TOOLS either.

If anyone has any idea, I will be very grateful.

Does Lenovo ThinkCentre usff M91p with BIOS 9HKT58AUS support Ivy Bridge processors?
I would like to install Hackintosh on this computer, but I have an i5-2500s processor, which has built-in HD 2000 video, which is not supported by macOS.
If it is possible to install one of the processors, then I would have an HD 4000 video:

i5-3475s
i3-3245
i3-3225

Hello. I need an unlocked version of this Emachines E732G so I can use an eGPU. The mPCI-e slot is whitelisted.

I have searched everywhere on the web and only found a modded bios for the E732 not E732G.
