[REQUEST] Samsung R510 / P510 laptop Whitelist removal for the MPCI-E slot
Hello,
I have a "Samsung P510" laptop (it is also called the "Samsung R510" - both are fully the same). The MPCI-E port is whitelisted. I need this whitelist to be taken off. Can anyone do this for me? Thank you well for all of your help.
Here is the download link for the BIOS from Samsung's webside:
http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.com/downloadfile/ContentsFile.aspx?CDSite=UNI_UK&CttFileID=1957047&CDCttType=FM&ModelType=N&ModelName=NP-R510&VPath=FM/201004/20100413171305062/WIN_R510_10LI.exe&OriginYN=N
It is a "Phoenix" BIOS, however, it is held within a ".exe" file. Thus, I have taken the BIOS file out of that ".exe" through "HxD", and uploaded it in this post (the file is named "10LIB.wph").
The ID for the wireless board that came with the laptop is:
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_001C&SUBSYS_7131144F&REV_01
It is an "Atheros AR5007EG".
Thanks

[REQUEST] Samsung NP900X3C i7 3517U AES-NI enablement
Hi there,
I found this previous thread but they never posted the modified BIOS link for the P11ABK_AES.cap for me to try.
Using this Samsung service I can see I am using the latest firmware P11ABK. (I've attached the extracted file)
I have a very similar model (NP900X3C) and have been able to get into the hidden Intel BIOS menu using the Ctrl + Alt + Shift F4.
I have been able to disable RTC Lock and SMM Lock in the hope that might allow writing a non signed BIOS. (Does prr2 uses this?)
If disabling those locks doesn't help then I also have a hardware programmer but need to un-soider the chip as doing it in place isn't working.
So I'm hoping someone might either have a copy of P11ABK_AES.cap, or can recreate it and knows if disabling the locks actually helps before I go to the next stage of removing the chip.
Many thanks
Dan

[REQUEST] Lenovo 330-15IGM Bios Unlock
I have this laptop with cpu n4000 and I installed windows 8.1 in it.
W8.0 and w7 won't boot, in w7 I get the "BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant."
The problem I have is with the Graphics card, I can`t see the Intel graphics card listed in Device Manager on Windows 8.1
As I have seen in youtube, for other Lenovo laptops, it is possible in Insyde Bios to unlock the Advanced tab,
Well, I'll be happy if I can get the graphics cards detected on W8.1 or if I can install w8.0 on it. So I'll need to switch the ACPI version on Bios.
This is a backup of my BIOS I made with the command: H2OFFT-W.exe backup.bin /g
IMPORTANT! I updated my bios two days ago to the latest official version to see if it can change things and as I read in the readme.txt file, this is some important things to consider:
The changes in the new BIOS are:
General Information:
7XCN30WW:
BIOS Notification:
1. Fixed
1) N/A.
2. Add
1) N/A
3. Modified
1) SPI Lock Enable
If flash BIOS to 7XCN30WW, please don't flash back to 7XCN24WW or older version BIOS,or it will cause unit can’t power on.
Backup of my BIOS (backup.bin): https://www.mediafire.com/file/d9jbkn2ju...p.bin/file
Readme file:
https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mob...cn30ww.txt
Link to the BIOS (I extracted it using 7zip):
https://support.lenovo.com/ro/en/downloads/ds503429
I hope you can help me guys, as I read in the forum it is possible in some cases to switch the ACPI version in the advanced tab.
I'll be happy if I can see the Intel Graphics card on Windows 8.1 and I will be more happy if I can install windows 8.0 on it. But without the graphics card detected I can't do nothing in w8.1 or w8.0 or w7
So what I want is No Whitelist + Menu Tabs Unlocked
Lot of thanks

[Question]Extract LG Gram Phoenix Secure Core Bios
Hi all,
I'm looking to try to unlock the bios (UEFI firmware) of my laptop but first of all I need to extract it.
Its a LG gram 15z980.
LG is far from friendly with the updates and all that offer is EXEs precompiled that check the Bios versión before apply any update (this is the USA and Korea pages, in my country not even that)
I wish i could be able to have a backup of my own firmware and have the posibility of flash it back in case of problems.
Could you guide me about dumping the current Firmware and how to flash this kind of BIOS ?
The only thing I have at the moment is the EXE updater from LG and i tried to decompress it and find the BIOS bin but it's confusing for me.

[Request] Cedar Mill Support for MSI 848P Neo2-V ( MS-7108 )
MSI 848P Neo2-V ( MS-7108 )
This board uses the Intel 848P and ICH5 Chipset and has support for all P4 Prescott 533/800mhz processors.
The only bios available is Version 1.0 that the board was shipped with and was never updated by MSI.
Researching this problem I believe this chipset supports the Cedar Mill Series CPU.
I have loaded the newer CPU microcodes (0F62) in the OEM bios but it still will not recognize the Cedar Mill CPU.
I am currently running a P4, Prescott, 561, SL8J6, 800mhz FSB, E0 stepping, 0F41 CPUID, 3.60Ghz, 90nm, 115 watt
To start, I am trying a P4, Cedar Mill, 651, SL94W, 800mhz FSB, B1 stepping, 0F62 CPUID, 3.40Ghz, 65nm, 86 watt
When the Cedar Mill processor is installed, Fans run but no video or POST or startup at all.
It is a Phoenix - Award Bios Version 6.00 PG
The current board bios is available at MS-7108 v1.0 Bios
or direct download here.
The ECS 848P-A7 V5.0 Board uses the same chipset, socket and has support for both Prescott and Cedar Mill Processors.
This bios has a very similar layout but is using a 512mb chip instead of the 256mb that is in the MSI board.
This boards bios is available here ECS 848P-A7 v5.0 Bios
I am able to recover the bios on this board as it was originally soldered to the board but I have removed it and installed a socket for easy removal.
I also have another P4 machine that I can hot swap the chip to reflash the original bios if necessary (I've had to do it a few times already)
I've also attached a CPU-Z report (.txt) for review.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks - Rich
