Ciao a tutti, sono venuto a conoscenza per caso di questo forum, e ho subito notato la ricchezza di contenuti e la gentilezza di amministratori / utenti per aiutare gli altri utenti.
Vorrei chiedere una mano.
Ho un computer portatile compaq cq60-400sl in cui vorrei attivare la modalità ahci, purtroppo non è previsto attivare questa modalità nelle impostazioni del BIOS.
C'è qualche tipo di sblocco bios o un'immagine già sbloccata da caricare sul mio laptop in modo da poter abilitare la modalità richiesta da me?
Mi scuso se l'argomento è già stato trattato o qualcosa esiste già.
Ringrazio tutti per il loro aiuto e ogni consiglio.

Hi all,

I am very new to BIOS modding and I only got to know when I realised that I couldn't enable VT-x on my laptop.

I need it to be enabled so that I can use my Nox smartphone emulator and it is not showing up although I tried many options on YouTube.

Then I came across one article saying that my type of BIOS (Insydeh20) requires modding so that there will be Advanced settings unlocked.

So I came here and I'll need you fellow comrades to help me out.

(1) Where do I post my unlock BIOS request thread (for Insydeh20)?

(2) What information do I need to provide in order for me to get your fantastic modded BIOS?

(3) How long does it take usually?

(4) As I'm very new to this BIOS stuff, a brief introduction of it would be greatly appreciated. Also, may I know why my great BIOS features are disabled on my laptop?

Permanently change an ACPI table on a Lenovo Z500

Hello, I have a Lenovo Z500 (InsydeH2O 3.7) and I'm running a modded BIOS (I think it's this one).

I would like to modify an ACPI table (DSDT) permanently. Can this be achieved by flashing a modded BIOS? What would the procedure be?

Modifying the tables via the OS is not an option in my case.

Dell Inspiron 1545 & Core 2 Extreme QX9300 & Core 2 Quad Q9100

I would like to operate core 2 extreme qx 9300 with inspiron 1545
core 2 extreme The cpuid of qx 9300 is 1067 A
In the official inspiron 1545 bios the code of 1067 A is the one of 2008/04/09 old and supports core 2 extreme qx 9300 Precision M6400 bios is 2011/10/04 that is newer than inspiron 1545
So I thought that it would be better to replace microcode and did the following

[1], I have inspiron 1545 a14 bios (https://goo.gl/U3Z5nj) and
Precision M6400 a13 bios (https://goo.gl/k1UeTk)
Downloaded.

[2], both of the two exe files
filename.exe / writehdrfile
And I got two bios .hdr files

[3], I checked the position, size and date of microcode using MCE.exe in UBU_v1_70_b8_Dev and I was convinced that the bios file of inspiron1545 contains the old microcode 

[4] Open the .hdr file using HxD Hex Editor and copy the character string of 0x2000 size from the position confirmed from the Precision M6400 bios file with MCE.exe and replace it with microcode of Inspiron 1545

[5], this worked Inspiron 1545's 1067 microcode .hdr file was replaced by the one on October 4, 2011

[6], I learned that PhoenixTool.exe can compress .hdr files into .gz and remodeled.hdr file was compressed by PhoenixTool but PhoenixTool had {no vaild checksums found}  Huh Angry

[7] Then I compressed my unmodified. hdr file with PhoenixTool This worked fine The bios.gz file was completed

[8],When I confirmed the contents with 7-zip I confirmed the size that bios.hdr was in and it was exactly the same as the remodeled .hdr file so I overwrote it with a remodeled .hdr file

[9], usb 
not remodeled biosfile.exe
I added a modified. Hdr file
bios.gz
I entered biosfile.exe / readgzfile in the dos window I thought this would work. But the dell bios updater said {ROM file CRC - 32 is incorrect. Bad ROM file} Angry Angry Angry 

I think that crc32 is checked before updating bios and it is supposed not to update unless it matches Is there a way to match crc32 with unmodified file or how to skip crc32 check?

Xeon e5440 not working on Foxconn 2a8c HP

Hello guys,,I bought a new cpu xeon e5440 but when i use it my computer doesn't working and ı have 1 short 1 long beep.But i can use my old cpu its working.1 short 1 long beep is ram problem but my rams are working with old cpu.I updated the bios last and not working again.
So i think maybe ram cpu problem or ı need a modding bios maybe ? https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-H...ed-working There is have a mod but if it doesn't work i can't use my old cpu and new cpu its so bad.Help me

i was trying to update to the modded bios but i have on experience with bios modding or updating what so ever can some one help me 
 this is the bios i am trying to install

Hi
Can anyone help me remove the lock for overclocking from this motherboard, i have Intel G4400 CPU, this CPU can be overclocked on other MSI Motherboards like Z170A (must have modded BIOS).
In the BIOS i have a position "CPU Unlocked: N/A" and i cannot set CPU Ratio more than 33 (3.30Ghz) [nominal value]

My Bios Version now is F15 make it F16 if you can so i can differenciate please, Thank you! Smile. If you need to delete the network boot or PXE or stuff like that Thx!

I have just bought a Xeon X5680 to put in my Shuttle XPC SX58H7 which has the latest BIOS, version P:

I currently have an i7-950 in there which works just fine, but when I put the Xeon in it switches on but no real POST, just spinning fans

Shuttle did offer a Xeon version of this system:

There does not appear to be a separate BIOS download for this version so I can only assume it uses the same.

The E5506 has 2x QPI so in theory my X5680 should work? Could it be because mine is hexacore?

Is there anyone who could kindly modify the manufacturer's BIOS to see if support is possible please?

Hi guys, I have a problem with my BIOS and I wanted to know if you can help me here.


I want to overclock the processor but the Bios HP does not have the necessary options for the overclock process

I wanted to know if it is possible to install an alternative Bios that allows me to do the overclock operations

data from my computer

HP compaq DC5800 sff

Processor Dual core E5200, 2500 MHz
sata 120gb hard drive (W7 os)

Westmere EP (Xeon 56xx) support for Fujitsu-Siemens D2618-Bx

Hi, Folks.

Can anybody help me with my trouble?

I have Fujitsu-Siemens D2618-Bx mobo and two Xeons x5650.
Unfortunately D2618-Bx officially doesn't support 56XX Xeon CPUs at all (even e5620).

Exist another mobo D2618-Cx, which technically looks abs. the same and it supports whole family of Westmere EP CPUs, including x5650.

I tried forced flash D2618-Cx bios on my D2618-Bx, but Fujitsu soft didn't allow to do that.
Also i tried to use file P6_INTEL.ALL with microcodes from Cx bios-pack to update microcodes on by Bx. Microcodes were updated, but it actually didn't help to run e5620 or x5675 on Bx mobo. Confused

Can somebody pls provide me a solution or an advice how i can fix this issue and mode the bios to make the D2618-Bx support Westmere EP (Xeon 56xx) CPUs?

[Request] AFUWINGUI.exe v5

Hi all,

I am trying to follow a guide posted on here https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-G...EFI-Aptio4

I'm trying to perform this on an Aptio 5 and was wondering if anybody knows if this works and if somebody has the download for AFUWINGUI.EXE V5 as I can't find the download anywhere. 

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
