i am trying to DIY of egpu on my laptop as my pcie has whitelist so i am unable to use it and please can you remove it for me please

DELL Inspiron 5551 bios

I have DELL Inspiron 5551 problems with bios,
1- Bios won't save changes from dos or by downgrade or update exe bios file
2- can't use any USB bootable now
3- F12 becomes uefi with legacy oprom security off, and can't chance from it and can't read any device as before, also no efi boot always not found.

Operation system was Ubuntu before I find problem to change it by USB as always , then I used DVD writer and tried, Ubuntu 14.04 , 16.4, 17.04, 17.10 , removed all and installed Fedora 27 , windows Microsoft 8.1 pro with all drivers from dell site with bios file, windows 10
deleted all my hard disk and no any change
Also removed CMOS , Hard disk and battery just ac power , and ac power with battery
the same problem can't change boot options from f2 or f12

I tried to extract files from 5451_A03.exe but no bin , rom or hex files, and I tried to use commands port to make files but no thing happen and I can't find any bin or rom

It's the last way to try it as I think, but if any one can help to fix this problem so thank you
and I need help to extract bin , rom and hex files to try to flash Bios from dos

Clevo P950HR - Custom Boot Splash Help

Hi everyone. 

Apologies if this isn't the right place for this, I know there is a 'Clevo BIOS' sticky on the forum but a lot of that looks to be aimed at the Prema stuff, but doesn't look like he is active these days.


So I have a Clevo P950HR which I purchased from PC Specialist in the UK, all is great however I decided I wanted to update the BIOS from the version they supplied it with, to the latest Clevo release I could find. The laptop came with BIOS 1.05.05TPCS and 1.05.05 EC Firmware, and I have flashed 1.05.06 from here: http://rjtech.com/shop/index.php?dispatc...page_id=25 (if anyone knows a better place to find BIOS releases for these Clevo machines, please let me know).

However after flashing, I now have the stupid 'Style Notebook' splash screen on boot and would really like to change it to something else. 

I am booting from USB and using afuefix64 to flash the BIOS which is what comes included with the new release I downloaded (https://www.rjtech.com/Driver/Intel_Fix/...FI_OEM.zip). 

I found a copy of AMI ChangeLogo v5 which was able to open up the BIOS file (there is a BIOS.BIN and an ALL.ROM) extract the existing splash .bmp image and replace it with a different image file, that part seems to work fine. 


The issue is when I then attempt to flash the BIOS back again, using either `Flash` or `FlashMe` which look to just be wrapper scripts, or by invoking the afuefix64 program manually I am then given the following error: 

"18 - Error: Secure Flash Rom Verify fail."

I have tried running: 

Flash (this is just a wrapper for the afuefix64 BIOS.BIN /p /b /n command)
FlashMe (this seems to instead use the ALL.ROM file, which looks to include both the Bios and the Intel ME fw)
manually run afuefix64 BIOS.BIN /p /b /n 

I've noticed with AFUDOS people use the /GAN flag which apparently allows the program to flash the file anyway, however this isn't a thing in afuefix64 I am using (neither is /gan). I'm guessing this is happening because the integrity of the original file has been changed or has modified the files signature. 


This is about were my knowledge of BIOS flashing ends, and was really hoping someone could help me with this.

Hello,
I am trying to unlock the BIOS for the VN7-792G. I posted some time ago but have
never been free enough to do it.
The BIOS is the latest version, 1.09 and I have seen links on these forums to it.
My request is for the modded BIOS file, as J now have access to the programmer
and would like to do this in order to unlock audio, andselect primary graphics.

Hi everyone , I have a Samsung notebook NP-N102SP, the bios version is 06QQ (an AMI bios from 2006) : too old ... I wish customize it , unblock some hidden settings , especially The VTX (virtualization i want to enable it), I've learned a little bit on how to do it but I use Universal IFR Extractor who keep crashin everytime I run it so I can't access to the structure of menu table, I've checked the past requests if someone had the same machine but unfortunately didnt find anything so i'm wondering if anyone can help me that would be awesome ...

I have been trying to gain access to the advanced features of my new Lenovo ThinkPad x131e, and to have the WiFi whitelist removed so I can use a non intel card; basically any features I don't have access to at the moment 
My specs are Lenovo ThinkPad X131e - 11.6" - Core i3 2367M 
the bios is g8eta8ww
the only bios link I could locate was :

I want to unlock BIOS hidden options in order to change DVMT-prealloc.

I know that this laptop's bios chip is rewrite protected so i have already bought SPI-programmer+SOIC8 clip to dump the flashable BIOS file. And i have already changed the whitelist mac address in order to use broadcom wifi card. Some bugs after this, for example i cannot press enter to go into setup( it will be blackscreen and soon boot into OS), only f1 or f12 works. This bug doesn't annoy me, just don't know why, because i only change the mac address
The uploaded BIOS is also dumped from SPI-programmer so i wish the modded bios can be flashable, too. Big Grin
I cannot completely remove whitelist due to my poor skill, delete LenovoWmaPolicyDxe.efi will cause blackscreen and cannot go into BIOS. That's not so important, but i will appreciate it if you can get it done too Big Grin

u can check if you have this guild using the uefi sheel (use dmpstore cmd)

if u dont have this guid dont use this tool !

[Reward] Xeon v1 -> v2 CPU Support

Hello,

I have bought the following server:

I got 2 xeon E5-2695v2 that I wanted to use with this. However the board does not support v2 CPUs.
If I put them into the server, the server is doing next to nothing (No Beep, No Post, No Screen output, only Fans are slowed down (which is normal) after spinning up).

I decided to upgrade the microcode in the Biosfile. I read-out the bios with afudos /O, patched it with UBU for new microcodes and verified with MC Extractor as the screens attached show (before/after).

My Acer Aspire VX5-591G (known as the VX15) sports an InsydeH2O Bios. How can I unlock the 'Advanced' menu as it is not shown. My bios version is 1.06.
