I need to be able to boot from a USB port using an iso file on my USB memory stick.

Acer V3-771G, disabled internal graphics device in bios, picture not showing anymore

I have Acer V3-771G laptop with InsydeH20 rev. 3.7 bios, version 2.28 and all the settings unlocked. I disabled ”Internal graphics device” because I thought it would disable integrated graphics and then I could have used dedicated gpu only. But now my laptop’s monitor won’t turn on at all. I cannot even use external displays via vga or hdmi. I tried resetting bios by opening my laptop and taking bios battery out. I did that twice. Didn’t help. Now my only(?) option is to do emergency flash procedure which would go like this according my laptop’s service manual:

1. Format the USB storage disk using the Fast Format option.
2. Save ROM file (file name: VAG70X64.fd) to the root directory of USB storage. Make sure
that there is no other BIOS file saved in the same directory.
3. Plug USB storage into USB port.
4. Press <Fn+ESC> button then plug in AC power.
5. The Power button flashes once.
6. Press Power button to initiate system CRISIS mode.
7. When CRISIS is complete, the system auto restarts with a workable BIOS.
8. Update the latest version BIOS for this machine by regular BIOS flashing process.

Now the problem is that when I plug AC adapter in (step 4), my laptop powers on immediately, without pressing any button. So step 5 never happens. Is there another way to do this? Or a way to plug AC in so that it does not power on my pc automatically?

My first thought how to fix this issue was to enter bios blindly and press F9 which would restore default settings and then press F10 to save and exit. The problem is that nothing happened. I think that nothing happens behind the screen. I have set Skype to login automatically when I sign to Windows (my Windows account is the only account and no pw so it goes straight to desktop). I asked someone else to look if my account signs in Skype but it never did even if I waited long time...

Hi guys. I have Hp bc202nt. I tried for unlocked but I failed. I actually could not figure out where to start. Do you have any help for me? Because it's an irritating situation. Many HP models use this bios. But I did not find it unlocked. If there is an helper friend, the file is below.. THX

Hi everyone!

I have a small request. I have a problem, put a wireless card into the laptop and it says that unauthorized wireless card has been installed, Please turn off the laptop and remove it.

Could someone do a quick edit of BIOS file to remove the whitelist?

Lenovo s206 adding support of E2-2000

Hello guys.

I replaced (resoldered) BGA AMD Processor on Lenovo s206 laptop. I installed AMD E2-2000, but now my laptop starts and the processor is being detected as "AMD Processor Model Unknown". As I researched, there are no claims of "E2-2" in stock AGESA code of Lenovo s206. I tried to replace it with AGESA code extracted from Lenovo G585 which has AMD E2-2000 support, and replaced AGESA module using PhoenixTool, but the laptop doesn't work with modified BIOS. How to add support of AMD E2-2000? Maybe somebody may help?

I attached original BIOS image from Lenovo s206 and AGESA module from G585.

Acer Aspire VN7-591G BIOS recovery

Hello to everybody,

I have an Acer aspire VN7-591G. Yesterday I followed the suggestion from this forum to unlock the advanced page of the BIOS. The process worked fine, using the command line method and changing the Intel page value to 0x1 did the trick. But now my notebook is not posting.

After changing of the settings the notebook posted, but I went into the BIOS and removed the BIOS password and enabled secure boot, saved the changes and my notebook does not post at all. It turns on, I can see the backlight on the keyboard but the screen does not turn on. After a while, the fans also start to spin slowly but no POST, nothing.

Can anybody help me. Is there a method to reset the BIOS settings to default? Or to reflash the BIOS.

I tried the recovery mode. I used the BIOS file from the latest BIOS which I named it as HadesSX64.fd and put it on a 16GB USB drive which is formatted as FAT32. I tried to hold FN+ESC, and plug in the USB and then press the power button, but the USB drive flashes 2-3 times and that's all, the fans don't come on (just after a while) and nothing happens, the USB drive it's not accessed anymore (no flashing of the LED).  I tried this method with the battery disconnected but the result was the same.

Can anybody help me, to tell me what I am doing wrong? I really need the files from this notebook for Monday, and unfortunately I don't have any other machine with an M.2 slot to take the files.
