Help downgrade bios

$

Hi. I'm having some trouble trying to downgrade from this version of the BIOS.

After I installed the newest bios for my notebook, F.43, I got some intermittent mouse lag. Then I tried to downgrade to the previous one, but when the installer extracts and tries to open the "InsydeFlash.exe", Windows just freezes and I need to force shut down (it also happens when I try to open InsydeFlash manually). I already tried waiting to see if Windows recovers, but it stayed froze for hours.
Tried to downgrade through the UEFI, but it returns a error: "Unable to find bios signature file". So I tried the crisis recovery Win + B method. Any previous version I tried using this method made the capslock blink 2 times (code for "bios corruption")...strangely I can successfully reinstall F.43 using this method.

Notes:
-Trying to reinstall F.43 under Windows will also cause it to freeze.
-Already tried installing through Windows 7, 8.1, 10. All of them freezes before opening the InsydeFlash.
-Never had an unsuccessful bios installation.

I'm trying to do this for some months. I did contacted HP but they couldn't help me. Also considered SPI prog + clip but can't afford for now =(
So any help will be greatly appreciated!

I have a MSI board 870A-G54 (MS-7599) bought in 2012,which has two PCI-E slots, one x16 speed and one at x4 speed. Is it possible to turn (unlock) the second x4 PCIe-slot to a x16 PCIe-slot by modding the board´s BIOS? Undecided

I attached the BIOS downloaded from the MSI-Site.
Thank you!

[REQUEST] Lenovo G500 video memory and WLAN whitelist

Hi!
I recently bought used laptop - Lenovo G500, because it was cheap and mostly compatible with Hackintosh. I've installed OSX Sierra on it, but GPU (Intel HD Graphics only) isn't working at all (glitched screen). I see 0 MB dedicated memory in Windows control panel, Sierra requires more than 64 MB. I want to increase memory in BIOS, but it's impossible without mod. Can someone make a mod for me (Advanced Tab with video memory selector, WLAN whitelist) for this model?

My current BIOS version is 78CN23WW(2.01)
CPU: Intel Celeron 1005M

Thank you in advance!

Unlock, please, my Samsung 700G7A intel hd graphics

Hi friends! I need your assistance to unlock the bios option in my Samsung 700g7a.
The problem is in the Radeon graphic - it's corrupted, the strips on the monitor etc.
It needs to be changed or restored, but not in the moment, maybe later.

So I need your help to modify my bios that there be an option to use intel HD3000 videocard only, that Radeon's graphic was switched off.
Or just to modify the bios that laptop could work on the internal videocard only.

At the moment it won't start without discret video. There no switch for it. It's locked in bios.

All your efforts will be rewarded. All the info, backups, dumps in any programs I'm ready to share.

Asus N500LF can't re-flash bios

$

Hi,

I have an Asus N500LF laptop and last week it suddenly started to go through a very long POST procedure when starting up , 25 minutes plus sometimes and the fan runs at full speed all the time too.

It's running the last available bios, version 215 and I'd like to try re-flashing that to see it it fixes the problem. Last year, I had the "fan running all the time" error and a re-flash fixed it. I know about the winflash /nodate method, but now it just doesn't flash. Similarly trying to flash from within the bios with Easy Flash fails too. Both Winflash and Easy Flash show a locked padlock symbol, does that mean the bios is write protected somehow?

When the POST is happening, the hard drive light and DVDRW light are both flashing at about one second intervals, I don't know if that's significant or not.

Here's what I've tried so far:

I have an SSD in place of the original hard drive, I have re-seated it's connector. I have removed and re-seated the RAM modules, WLAN board, DVDRW drive. Cleared CMOS by unplugging the little backup battery, remove laptop battery and held down power button for several seconds to dissipate power. Cleaned fan and heatsink. Replaced the SSD with the original hard drive. Edited the Build dates and revision numbers in the bios file with a hex editor, I guess that messes up a checksum as Winflash stops with an "Invalid Bios" error.

Why oh why won't Asus allow you to re-flash the same bios version!!

Anyway, I'd like to know if it's safe to try and re-flash the bios with the AMI tools for the Aptio bios? If so, do I flash all blocks? I love the laptop, best computer I've ever owned so I don't want to brick it.

Many thanks for any suggestions,

Ric

HP Z420/Z620 BIOS mod request

Hello all. I've found a previous bios mod request for an HP Z420 board which is basically the same as the Z620, that was this thread: https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-H...rd-request

I have an idea that i'd like to make popular due to cost and that was to take Z420 and Z620 boards and spread the word that they can make great workstation/1080p gaming machines for low money! However, putting these boards in a regular case causes some problems, namely the hardest issues to get around are a propietary 6 pin fan header (designed for two fans, but it isnt two 3pin headers side by side) and a propietary 6 pin (EPS/CPU power style) memory fan connector. Other issues that are easier to disable are the USB, 1394, front audio, etc errors, however those can be turned off to bypass that error in BIOS. The fan errors cannot.

I know it might be asking alot but the biggest thing is a bios mod that would simply disable the "Press F1 to boot" error when these devices aren't detected. Thats all. Some nice bonuses would be like a way to enable all-core turbo all the time, or even unlock overclocking but i know that is asking for much much more. Disabling "Press F1 to boot" errors would be FANTASTIC if possible, if anyone can help. Here is the HP support page that has the package that contains the latest BIOS (of which i am running). Thanks in advance.
