Hello guy's ,

I'm new to your forum , In fact I joined it today.i wanted to ask you how can you unlock Or upgrade my Acer aspire 5732z Bios. I really want to change the video shared memory but It's not highlighted and I can't access to it . Please help me guys Smile

Chipset BIOS mod help

So, basically, I would like some help with transplanting some code from one BIOS to another. Both boards are Asus boards. The donor BIOS has the code in it to allow the integrated audio chipset(VIA VT1708s) to enable and use DTS-Connect. My own BIOS does not have the code, but since its the same audio chipset, and both BIOSs are core version 8(open with MMtool 3.26), I suspect it would not be very hard to transplant the correct code over. The problem, is that I cannot identify the correct chunk/part to move over, so, any help would be appreciated.

[REQUEST] G73jw 660m 2GB bios

Hey I have recently installed a GTX 660m 2GB into my ASUS G73jw but im having a lot of trouble getting any bios to work correctly. The first (660m.rom) bios I tried was from the the tech inferno forum which is modded to work in a G73jw but for a 1GB 660m but the laptops internal screen wont display anything, not even the bios, the vga port works, and overclocking is having no effect on 3Dmark results. The second (Dell.rom) is from tech power up which when flashed the laptop screen works, the vga port doesnt, an error appears when booting up (vaild MXM structure not found) and windows crashes whilst starting. I havent been able to use the laptop in months now im out of ideas of what to do? Can somone please help out im trying the best I can to get it to work but having no luck.Huh

Was doing the latest BIOS update and the laptop powered off. Now it powers on but is not booting or even getting to the BIOS screen. F2 isn't doing anything either. Is there anything I can do? PLEASE HELP!!

Hi guys, can't either overclock nor activate hyper threading with my machine.
My mobo is a FIH57, it's exactly the same as the one in this post:

But my PC has a Intel Core i5 650 and came with a HD 5450. (wich i swapped with a HD 7950)
I'm telling this because there are some S3800's wich come with a i3 or a HD 5570, and i'm not sure if this could mean that the mobo is a variation or exactly the same. (i'm new into this of MOBO BIOS's).

Hello,

I`m trying to unlock VT-d on my board ASUS Rampage Extreme, but this setting missing from BIOS. Mainboard chipset (Intel x48 chipset) is VT-d capable, just must enabled from BIOS. Can any help me to unlock my BIOS? Last 3 BIOS versions is attached to this post.

HP DV6 F.1B BIOS MOD THAT DOESN'T CMOS RESET

Hi, I made a bios unlock request here a while ago. It seems I never got any replies about my bios or whether or not it could be unlocked or not. I did my own research, and in the forums was an older version of my bios with no whitelist and unlocked menus. The problem with this bios is that it causes CMOS resets 99/100 times you attempt to change settings within the bios. So, I looked elsewhere for help on this. Unexpectedly, a member of the insanelymac forums known as Donovan6000 created a bios mod for my laptop of the F.1B bios revision. It allows for all the things I could possibly ask for.

-Disabling and re-enabling the 6770m in my computer

-Disabling and re-enabling Hyperthreading

-Changing other bios settings that are compatible with the laptop

-Allowing the bios (When hackintoshed) to not cause a kernel panic on appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext

-No wifi whitelist

-And NO MORE CMOS RESETS. EVER.

If you have this bios, you should test it. HP's name for this package is sp55068.exe when left vanilla. Just run the Insydeflash utility after extracting all the files from it into a directory. Make sure you know how to unbrick your laptop in case of a brick and enjoy.

Please please please donate to him and check out his other projects. He made this bios mod without even being asked. If it helps you, the least you can do is contribute to this intelligent individual so he continues the amazing work.
