1.1 Basic information about my problems

What i'm trying to achieve:
External GPU + Internal GPU at the same time.
((My external GPU is connected via the mini pci-e slot))

What's wrong:
When i boot with the External GPU, the internal GPU and internal screen get's disabled. Only external gpu and screen is detected.

What I want:
External GPU & External Screen working at the same time as the Internal GPU and Internal Screen, bios seems to ignore the EFI variables, somehow. + Unlock the bios with hidden menus (if possible.) Mostly preferred the video settings/menu.

1.2 What i have tried
I have tried to edit the UEFI variables by using the EFI Shell and manually extracting the IFR file from the bios to get these values.

1.3 Summary
To summarize,

The bios simply ignores the UEFI/EFI variables and still disables the internal screen and internal GPU!
Can someone help me, repair this, at-least force it to keep the primary display the internal, and external GPU.
Hot plugging does not work for me either.

TL;DR: Bios unlocking request, hidden menus & possible a way of forcing the internal screen and graphics to stay on with the external graphics card.

P.S: I apologize for the colourful, and huge text. Browser is bugged for me, so I couldn't adjust it within my needs.

HP DL160 G6 - changing bclk on server bios

Hi,

I own a HP DL160 G6 with 2x E5620 (yes, two physical processors), which is a 1U rack server from ~2011.
Unfortunately BIOS of this server doesn't seem to allow change to BCLK of both CPU's. Would it be possible to mod this bios to include option to overclock BCLK? (I know only both BCLK's could be changed at once, since QPI speed depends on it)
I looked with AMIBCP, and there are some hidden options but most of those are useless to me. I wasn't able to unlock BCLK with it, maybe someone more experienced can do it or at least give me some clues.

Attached is BIOS image:

Thanks!

B85M-D2V rev3.0 succesful SLIC but unsuccessful activation

I tested SLIC for study purpose. Phoenixtool 256 with default settings was successful for b85m-d2v rev3.0. Cert/Slic match verified. Flash successful when Qflash  utility built in BIOS launched. Correct slic visible in RWeverything. Cert install into W7RTMEnterpriseSuccessful.  Key install succesfull, but there is still 30 days to activate. Tested on fresh install with Dell combo of slic/cert/W7Enterp.key, 2nd flash and install of hp combo same , then W7ProSP1 with  w7pro key and same problem. Each case I was waiting overnight, few reboots but nothing helped. If nothing helped I tried slmgr/ato which outputs "inccorect key". I used wide known slp keys which worked on my previous trial cca 6 month ago on another HW.

Any advice please?

Hi guys!

I was looking around on the forum for Acer Aspire v3-772g unlocked BIOS and only found links that wont work anymore, lhttp://rghost.net/54494281. Is there any way to get this bios?

My specs are Acer Aspire V3-772G with 760m. http://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/sup...t/4732?b=1

I'm trying to get external GPU to work, but when i boot with it in my PCIe slot, i get no bootable device error.
I've managed plug it in while laptop was on Sleep mode and i could then see the card in Devices. So i belive it should be whitelist error or something.

Thanks alot in advance!

So I was going to try and boot my laptop to USB to run a battery diagnostic and the boot menu wouldn't load....
After navigating through the terrible [censored] that is Lenovo's help forums, I found the problem was the BIOS version my laptop was running, so I updated it....

Good news, I can get into the BIOS now. Bad news, completely forgot that I had gotten a BIOS mod from here about a year or so ago and now my laptop would boot into Windows because of Lenovo's stupid whitelist BS.

Right now, running the laptop without a wireless card so that I could get it to boot. Requesting assistance from a good Samaritan.

Acer Aspire 9500 - Insyde ACPI Bios 4.20.09 from 2005

Hi, the original idea started in 2012, where I got told, my Insyde BIOS would be "too new" to be modded.

Mabye it changed ? I stumbled across donovan6000 his blog  for example :

Insyde Modding
http://donovan6000.blogspot.de/2013/06/i...-tabs.html

But still, even Andys Tool says "no Insyde Bios".

The original downloadable BIOS v1.70 that I flashed back then looks like this :

Here is the link to the BIOS :

http://www.acer.com/ac/de/DE/content/sup...ct/140?b=1

Its a Laptop where I want to change the splashscreen.

Acer Aspire 9500 (Modell DQ70).

Mainboard: Compal Stork (Chipset i915PM/GM, Southbridge 82801FBM (ICH6-M)

Pentium M 760 @ 2 GHz

Insyde Software MobilePRO Version 4.20.10, using the "Acer HQD70" Bios 1.60. (512kb)

Right after startup it additionally says "Insyde ACPI Bios 4.20.09" short before initialising the HDD and the CD-Rom.

I made a backup of the 1.60 using the "Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0" but couldnt open it either.

Its UUID is : 61373537326131356136000FB0F07732

Firmware 101.114
Bios Date: 12/29/2005
Bios Starting Segment : EB00h

I gave up and I really hope someone else found a way in the meantime, as I just digged out this laptop once again. Smile

And reply is welcome.
