Acer Aspire 5735Z/5735 Bios Unlocked or Mod

Hi,

I have been reading about the modified Bios for the above notebook on your forum. I have already flashed my bios from v1.80 to v1.10 with success.
But looking to unlock all features of the v1.10 bios. The cpu in the Acer is a T3400 @ 2.16Ghz 2.17Ghz
Will the Bios on the unlocked Phoenix page be the one I require. But it's a bit confussing as there are quite a few there. I am also running windows 7 32 bit
and it only shows 2.93gb of ram usuable when there is 4.00gb installed, is there an unlock feature for this in the bios.
Any help here would be much appreciated, and to point me in right direction for the unlocked bios I can download.

Cedar Mill Support for Dell Dimension E310/3100

Thanks to DeathBringer, using a Cedar Mill Pentium 4 CPU is now possible in a Dell Dimension E310/3100. Bypassing Dell's "incompatible processor detected" warning ended up being the solution. Here's the download:

Just extract the .exe and run it like you would Dell's stock BIOS.

I've upgraded to a Pentium 4 HT 651 SL9KE and it's working like a charm, extremely quietly too.

hey guys,

i've got a fairly old asrock and would like to install windows 10 64bit on it but from what i can tell i need to activate "disable execute bit" in bios since my cpu supports it but there is no such option in bios.
Can someone please take a look and see what can be done?
I include bios dump, report and a bios screenshot.

Comfirmed MS7525 working with Xeon E5450

This mod working just fine. Now I have four cores Xeon X5450 working with FSB1333 on MS7525 v1.0
BIOS version was 5.11 before upgrade. This one is 5.35
Was used programmer for flashing BIOS instead of award tools.

Gigabyte Award bios programming

Hi guys. I have tried to repair the forementioned motherboard because the post freezes on RAM detection. I couldn't make it boot from floppy or cd so I decided to visit my friend with eprom programmer. Bios chip is 4 Mbit MX25L4005AM2C-12G. The bios file is F9E (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2691#ov). Since the file didn't have any extension I wasn't able to tell the friend if the file was in binary or hex format. We chose "binary" option, the chip was recognised and flashing went fine. I carefully soldered the chip but unfortunately the PC didn't post. Fans were spinning but no beeps and video output. Southbridge is warm to tuch. If I presume I soldered the chip fine what could be the reason? Is there any specific problem I should be aware of? Are all bios files in binary format? Someone told me that asus bios files with "rom" extension are in hexadecimal format while award bios uses binary format? Thanks in advance.

Hi all

I'm restoring an Inspiron 545 and I bought a Xeon 5160 for it. I will be doing the 771-775 mod. I have already modified the CPU socket but I need a modded BIOS with support for at least 65nm 771 Xeons. Could someone please mod the BIOS for me? I've only edited Asus BIOS's before and I really don't want to brick this board since it's for my Computer Club.

I want to control the laptop fan speed of laptop. There is no option available in bios. I have seen on this forum that fan control is available in hidden bios settings. I am no expert in tempering the bios settings etc. If someone can help me I will be really thankful.

Microcode Request - Intel Xeon E5-2697 v4 (ES) on ASUS X99-A

I am requesting a CPU microcode injection, if possible, to support my Intel Xeon E5-2697 v4 (ES) on an ASUS X99-A motherboard running AMI BIOS.

What I've done:
I updated BIOS using the USB BIOS Flashback (directly from USB without entering BIOS or DOS). This worked. The first time booting up, the computer checked hardware and cheerily stated that it installed the CPU (see below). I can enter UEFI BIOS from here with no issues. Unfortunately, once I save & exit UEFI BIOS, I am no longer able to POST and I get only a black screen with the computer still running. Restarting the PC results in the Motherboard Error LED displaying code 19.

This means there is an issue with the CPU. I have checked for bent pins, adequate power, etc. I also had tried with an older BIOS, but no dice. I am fairly convinced this is a strict BIOS+Motherboard incompatibility with my Extra Spicy (Engineering Sample) CPU. ASUS supports the non-ES flavor of the same CPU: CPU support for Intel Xeon E5-2697 v4 according to ASUS.

I am new to BIOS modding. Is it possible to add microcode to the BIOS to support an ES model, or am I SOL (need to buy new motherboard)? Happy to answer questions, but remember I can't boot to an OS with this CPU/Motherboard yet. Here are technical details and thanks to those who read my post:

Bios : X99-A BIOS 3402
CPU Spec: QH26 (ES0)

I have a Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-UD4H that I have been trying to update the AMD raid rom on so that I can get support for 3tb drives.  I have not had any luck.  Could some one take a look at this and update the raid rom and any other components also?  Thank you for your time.
