Hello,

I want a unlocked BIOS for my laptop. I want to install MAC OSX on this system.
So  i want to be all settings to be unlocked in the  BIOS.
 Im using Version 1.15 (latest version original from Acer)

Corrupted BIOS on Fujitsu Esprimo Q5020

Hello,
I am not sure this is the right place to place this kind of request, sorry if it is not.

I tried a BIOS update from windows on my Q5020, I used this http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/IndexDownl...6203B46145

However, after starting the procedure, an error triggered by the flasher app came out, after 1 second a windows blue screen came out as well, and the system automatically restarted.

After this, the PC does not turn the monitor on anymore, so I guess the BIOS is corrupted. After some searches, I figured out that Q5020 should have the bios recovery mode (http://inpc.com.ua/data/support/mboards/...bios_e.pdf) however I am not able to trigger that.

Does somebody have any suggestion?  Sad I tried the recover process explained in your site, however I can't figure out how to set the MB into bios recovery mode.

Bad BIOS flash on Fujitsu Esprimo Q5020

Hello,

I have two of these. They are Single-Board Computers, made for industrial/niche applications.
The main issue I'm having with this is the absence of SpeedStep, either not enabled by default or missing entirely.

Any other hidden features that can be enabled would be wonderful as well.

the board I'm to be testing with is based on an 855GM chipset, contains a Pentium M 1.6GHz Dothan (400MHz FSB) and, like all Dothans, runs pretty warm at full speed all the time. the BIOS already allows for the overclocking of the FSB, and I've played around with that. but, in the end, having speedstep available to have it run at low speed when idle would be a miraculous thing.
I've already flashed 1.6 to this board, hoping there would be speedstep, and alas, there is not.

I'm also including an image of the board I have, sans-heatsink, thanks to some wonderful soul in China that thinks the board is worth $800:

Can some one guide me on to were can I ask for assistance to get a bios looked at for possible bios mod , I have an Alienware Alpha R1 with a exp GDC external graphics card attached " GTX 950 "
My first question would be . Is it the bios or the mother board that dictates the amount of Lanes available on the M.2 port . And then second question is it possible to adjust the CPU's TDP with a modded bios .

Acer v5 573g 74508g1taii. I have bios ver 2.30 in, the last official.
lbattery drain when shut down, I tried everything, bios reset, Win 8, Win8.1 win 10th win 10 UEFI BIOS and UEFI BIOS off.

while the laptop is switched off, the fans, HDD are all off.
after 5h switched off Pull out the entire beterju to 0%
battery is good holding laptop over 4 hours with wifi.
I suspect the bios. because the serial number of the laptop does not see

want to try it first original bios 2.24 or 2.30 unlocked, you know better what to try.
I tried to put bios 2.24, but does not me. bices inside is 2.30

[Help] Possible AWARD Bios Mod for HP Pavilion s3750t?

All,

I've got an HP Pavilion Slimline s3750t that has a Foxconn Irvine board with an Nvidia nForce 630i chipset.

I've been in the process of updating the BIOS for this board to accept a Core 2 Quad (Q9400). There is only one official BIOS from HP and doesn't seem to support the Core 2 Quads. There is conflicting information from HP on CPU upgrade support. One spot only lists the dual-core CPUs with 65W TDP as potential upgrades. Another spot lists some of the quad core cpus but incorrectly labels the Core2 Quad Q9400 as a 65W part. It's a 95W TDP part the 65W version is a Q9400S.

Long story short....I updated the bios with the Q9400 microcode and when booted into Win10 it works. However, this BIOS has some kind of CPU whitelist. After POST it throws a screen up that says something like "Unsupported CPU installed. Will shut down in a few seconds". And, if left alone it will shut down! However, it is possible to bypass this shutdown by hitting F2 during POST. 

My question is: What in the BIOS is determining that the CPU is "unsupported" and can I remove that check?

Hi all!
Since I don't want to ask for every new bios version, this is the question: I'm an IT technician, so my informatic skills are very good; can anyone explain me how to mod the bios of my Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E330 (motherboard is the same of Lenovo V480s) to install a different WiFi PCI-E card?
First, I don't understand what kind of bios it is (Phoenix/Insyde, etc.), because in the downloaded and then extracted files there is no understandable filename syntax to help recognize it; second, I don't know which string to search and then substitute with the hex editor or with the specific tool.

Hello everyone sorry for my bad English..
I have Acer Aspire E1-531 Laptop and today i installed latest update of BIOS, ver 2.21 and my vRAM decreased from 128 to 32 after upgrade.
Please guys i'll link you Official BIOS here and please MOD it, I really need to have Advanced settings in BIOS, I can't downgrade BIOS because when installing old version it says: "BIOS version compare error".
Please please please please mod me it please i really need more vram i don't have more laptops..
And please also don't upload it on rghost because when i did see one guy's post to this laptop and when i go to link on rghost site say the file is not accesible or is locked (something like this)
But if there's no more upload sites you can upload ok, do it on rghost.

Overclocking and use DDR3 8GB

Dear my friends....

I use phoenix bios in my netbook of Axioo Pico CJM.

My netbook can't run DDR3 8GB and it's very slow. So I need to upgrade the phoenix to enable overclocking and run DDR3 8GB.

Where can I get free latest Phoenix BIOS from?

I purchased a new AR5B22 802.11/a/b/g/n to replace the crappy b/g/n wifi card, but it was locked out by BIOS "unauthorized wifi card detected..."
I tried previous threads to upload mod BIOS but none of them worked in DOS or Windows 10 - either I got "signature platform is not found" or "EFI verification failed" something...  Angry Angry Angry
