Hi I could someone help me remove the whitelist from my Hp Envy 15-J059nr Quad Edition 15" i7-4700MQ. I would like to install an eGPU and whitelist won't allow me. 

My current bios is F.65 according to the HP website I can change it to F.66 (sp73289)  or F.56 (sp66269)  if those are easier.

edit:
as i was trying to get a new bios file to learn for myself, by mistake i updated the bios to the newest version 2.37
(Lenovo installer, and i forgot to uncheck the install after install, but it really is kinda missleading)

Hello,

This is a BIOS mod for Acer's 2011 All-in-One Aspire Z5801: 
keywords: MB.SGB06.00x 001 002 - P01-A2

Some words:
If I'm not mistaken, it is one of the beefiest AIO they ever did (recent Aspire U5-710 coming close but no graphics card).
Mine has an i7 2600S @ 2.8GHz-3.1GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 2TB HDD and... is was locked on a nVidia GeForce GT530 2GB.
I bought a low profile GT640 4GB fitting the power consumption a couple years ago hoping to give my buddy a bit more juice but soon learned that Z5801 models have a VGA whitelist that autorizes only GT520 and GT530..!
I recently stumbled upon this site and as it provided great guides and tools I took the chance to beat the VGA limitation.

The mod:
I simply enabled the OEM Debug menu (lots of options. Can be useful for overclocking I guess? not my thing) and set the "Fill SSD/SVID to VGA" to ALL... ...Ok, I also changed the boot logo to the WFW3.11 splashscreen, sorry about that (I did this mod for me, eh!). You can either disable the quiet boot or change the boot logo with tools provided by this very site.
Once flashed, just go double-check that "Fill SSD/SVID to VGA" to ALL as I suppose not clearing CMOS might keep the previous "disabled" setting. This is the option that lets you use whatever card you want.

Pay attention that if you decide to flash this mod, you'll be responsible if it bricks your Z5801. I flashed my BIOS several times without problem using the tool provided by ACER with their latest P01-A2 BIOS from their website. I tried to make sure it was possible to use the BIOS recovery method with this computer, however I couldn't trigger it no matter what I tried. Maybe it only works when the BIOS is already corrupted?
Anyway as I said, you can just use Acer's little BIOS update package to flash it and simply swap the original BIOS image with the one I provide:

Many thanks to this site/forum and its contributors. Following guides and using tools were pretty straightforward. My AIO is now properly upgradable and is worth maxing its RAM out and changing PSU to use a more recent low profile GPU. Gonna keep it some more years Smile

[HELP ] Dell E7440 i5 - BIOS Throttle CPU to 800Mhz | BIOS fix please

Hi, ive bought a preowned Dell E7440 i5-4310U laptop. After a few days of using it i've been wondering why the laptop is slower than my previous i3 laptop. Then i did some investigation and found out that the CPU clock is throttle to 800Mhz at all time. No wonder it is slow. Undecided

After few googling I found out that there are many people having the same fate as me and Dell have not been able to fix this even after 18 Bios revisions.

Ive tried multiple suggested 'fix' but non worked. This include installing every single bios revision from A1 to A18.
Ive also tried disabling c-step in bios but does not work.

At the moment im using Throttlestop to disable BD PROCHOT as a temporary fix.
I was wondering if theres any BIOS mod available for my laptop to fix this throttle issue. Bios can be easily upgrade and downgrade for this model.

Acer aspire 4750G stuck at loading boot BIOS

My laptop BIOS is phoenix, if i turn on my laptop, it just stuck at loading boot BIOS with ACER text. i see in the bottom right corner the loading maybe stuck at 75%.

I already tried to flash BIOS using crisis disk in this link :

but is not working for me,
if i get in to recovery mode with fn + esc the screen is black but i wait for 15 minutes and turn off the turn on again but nothing changes.

I need solution for my laptop acer aspire 4750G.

Where is located splash screen of an Intel server w2600 series?

Hi, change splash screen of bios it's usually easy for almost motherboards, i use Uefi Tools and search "7BB28B99-61BB-11D5-9A5D-0090273FC14D" guid and here is the splash screen, but with the 2600 series  of server and workstation mobos i get something like "GUID pattern "7BB28B99-61BB-11D5-9A5D-0090273FC14D" found as "998BB27BBB61D5119A5D0090273FC14D" in PE32 image section at header-offset 3B7Ch" it's not a raw section and i dont know if splash screen it's located somewhere in this section, nor how to extract it from this section, or if it's located under another guid. Any ideas? Thanks

I've been lurking this forum for some time and I decided to register. I'd like to know if any of you would be able to provide me an unlocked BIOS for my Dell Inspiron 3421. I need to access advanced settings in order to make my laptop portable again, since battery charging is disabled but in my BIOS specifically there is no option concerning the battery. Summing up, I'd like to access the all Advanced Options.
My BIOS is A13, chip from MXIC 25L Series.
I'm gonna upload the backup I did with AFUWINGUI, in case that helps.
Anything else just ask.

HP Notebook 15-AC121NR / 15-AC121NO - Insyde whitelist removal

First - can anyone explain the business logic behind the whitelist? All I can come up with is it's part of the pricing deal for these cheap Realtek cards.

Anyhow, I'm hoping that someone can help me with the Insyde BIOS to remove the whitelist. I didn't find it in the mega list or the completed subforum.

The laptop was preloaded with Windows 10 - the latest revision is F.1F, and it's safe to say that HP has replaced their entry level notebook so it's going to stay there for some time.
