[Request] BIOS unlock HP 15-r032nd

I need a BIOS unlock for my system, so I can upgrade my network card (I cannot now due to the white list). I have a HP 15-r032nd, serial: CND4296V4H. The specs are:
 
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 10.0.10586 Build 10586
System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
System Model: HP 15 Notebook PC (x64)
BIOS: Insyde F.18, 21-5-2014

lpc hot swap and flash

Big Grin I have a motherboard that suffered a bad flash I desolderd the flash chip soldered on a socket read to do a hot swap flash.

so I booted up another motherboard with a lcp flash chip that had a 49lf020b chip and swapped the chip from the dead motherboard and poped it in and I get no flash config on the desoldered chip.

I then noted the flash chip is slightly different it is a 49lf002b not a 49lf020b

is there a way I can get this wrongly flashed chip to program in the working computer or would I need a motherboard with the same bios chip?.

Lenovo Y70-70 Touch WIFI Whitelist Mod

Hello
I've tried to install an upgraded Wifi card in my Y70-70 and despite buying the correct FRU prescribed by Lenovo it still does not pass the whitelist check on the laptop. Is it possible to assist me in either disabling the whitelist or adding the WIFI card to the whitelist. All I want to do is install this upgraded card so whatever the easiest solution for this would be great

Happy to run the tools posted on other threads but download site states files are restricted or deleted when I click links on older posts. Please let me know what info you need and I will supply and will happily donate for your time.

System details in meantime are attached along with picture of wifi card

Stuck on Boot Menu after Bios Upgrade

After trying to update with the latest bios from Lenovo's website, my laptop is now stuck in the boot menu. Anything I select to boot from brings me back to the boot menu. I tried the wincrisis method but I am unable to get it to work properly on the usb drive. The error reads "project path must be specified" but does not allow me to chose a path. 

Fortunately I backed everything up before doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Model: Lenovo U410

i have success whitelist remove my x1 carbon 2nd gen 2014.  i will share what i have done, i would say that is easy. what i have done is to replace LenovoWmaPolicyDxe module from extracting  Wisar and Leokim patched bios. i would think this method will work most lenovo model as i have test a x1 carbon 3rd gen and x240 patched module. 

First i am not response for anything and it is danger to lose your laptop


   What hardware you need:  window pc , [/url]

   Software: CH341A Programmer 1.26 (working only CH341AFree.exe)
                   CH341A Programmer 1.13
                   HxD
                    Phoenix/Dell/EFI SLIC mod v2.66
    Patched Module. (Try similar model or year)
        X1 carbon gen3 2015 1.06 N14ET28W module source Leokim
        X240 patched 2014 LenovoWmaPolicyDxe module source Wisar/BDMASTER
        X230 2013 2.62 G2ETA2WW patched module source BDMASTER




  1. Open your laptop and find your bios chip and search for it. My is MXIC MX 5L12873F  it is 16Mb chip
  2. Connect the ch341a and clip to your window machine and laptop
  3. Open ch341a programmer 1.13/ CH341A.exe click “chip search” if it find your chip then next step, else rechip the chip/
  4. Open ch341a programmer  1.26/ CH341AFree.exe choose your bios type/size my is 25 spi flash 16MByte
  5. Click Read
  6. After done click Save (bios1.bin)
  7. Repeat 5) save as bios2.bin
  8. Open HxD “Crtl+k” compare .   bios1.bin and bios2.bin if they are same go to next step otherwise repeat 5)
  9. Open a new folder call “patch” and copy your bios1.bin there and rename it to patch.bin
  10. Open Phoenix/Dell/EFI SLIC mod v2.66 original BIOS /patch/patch.bin , waiting it load then click structure
  11. On the EFI Structure screen explore the module and find DXE Driver {79E0…….. LenovoWmaPolicy Dxe module
  12. Click “+” and Click PE32+ image section click the box of compress Inserted/Replaced Modules
  13. Click Replace and browser the file “79E0EDD7-9D1D-4F41-AE1A-F896169E5216.MOD” from X1 carbon gen3  module or X240 patched module or other
  14. Click exit then Save
  15. Click Advanced , click box “No SLIC”, “Always allow user modification of modules” then Done
  16. Click Go , click ok to any popup window.
  17. Your patch bios is done (patch/patch.bin) the program of phoenix will overwrite the original file!
  18. Now it is the time to write to the chip
  19. Open ch341a programmer  1.26/ CH341AFree.exe choose your bios type/size my is 25 spi flash 16MByte
  20. Click Erase it will erase your chip . must do it before flash
  21. After  erased , click your patch bios file /patch/patch.bin
  22. Click Write and wait 100%
  23. Now the mod is done, remove the clip and power on the laptop, it will beep 5 x2 time , it will gone once you go to bios setting and restart.

[Request] Acer Aspire E5-572G-5577 Bios FD file

Hi everyone.

Yesterday this fine laptop did the "sleeping beauty" on me. It went to sleep and did not wake up again.
Googling around I've noted that the BIOS might be corrupted / dead. Curious case is that nobody did any Bios Upgrade / update on it.

So, going to the ACER website to download the bios got me into the "missing FD / BIN" file from the archive. (http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...ER&SC=PA_6)

I tried to download all the BIOS updates (1.02 up to 1.06) but no FD/Bin files were included in the archive or the packed EXE file.

bumping from thread to thread, i found the 1.06 BIOS version (https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...d-Settings) that contained a BIN file.

Got the BIN file, FLASHIT.EXE on an 4GB USB drive; Formatted it FAT and FAT32 (multiple flashing attempts), renamed the Bin file to different names (isflash.bin; Z5WAW106.bin; Z5WAW106.FD). The phoenix tool identified the name as "Z5WAW106.F?". Windows does not allow the ? character to be used in filenames or extensions.

In the end, the laptop goes into the flash recovery mode, but runs for 30 seconds and shuts down. the same happens with or without the USB drive connected.

I'm guessing (that's what I'm left with) that the BIOS version I've found is not what I need or the filename is wrong.


Any help with other BIOS versions (1.02, 1.03, 1.04, 1.05) or filename suggestions is highly appreciated.
