Hi guys you are my hope... i need to unlock my notebook with mod bios! right now i can't install other Os(like ubuntu, Fedora, Win 7) i need to enable Legacy support because this bios can't recognize my pendrive...im pretty sure, this bios have advanced setting on it!(in system configuration i can disable only secure boot, and no legacy sup.) ill apreciate much if you can help me! is it possible ? the chipset is nvidia geforce go 6100 and i want put a K10.5 45nm cpu  it offfical support amd k8 only the type of socket is same between K10.5 K10 K8（socket 638） in desktop C51 also support K10.5 here is bios its phoenix bios different than desktop so i dont know how to do.i m chinese and i found this forum by chance so i dont know how to explain. Shy

Hello , I am the owner of a fw480j Sony VAIO ( PM45 , T7350 ) , if anyone can help me mooding my bios so that it can support Q9100 CPU and T9600 , seen in several other places that the Q9100 and T9600 is supported, but when I installed any of these cpu in my Fw480j windows not boot.
The green power LED lights for 5 seconds , then turns off the lights and after 5 seconds again and makes the CPU get hot , but I have no image output on the screen. He now works well with the old T7350 .

What I found so far is that my current cpu P7350 uses 25w and 45w uses Q9100 and T9600 uses 35W

I have a 90W power brick, so that's not a problem the only alternative I can see is to change the bios

So can anyone help me here ?

Optiplex 755 & Win 7 Pro

I am new to this site, so I apologize in advance if my question has been asked and answered.

My Optiplex 755 had Vista Business and Bios A11 with SLIC V 2.0. I want to have automatic activation when I use my Dell OEM Win 7 Pro
installation disk. I had read that I needed to update the Bios to a newer version which had SLIC v 2.1

From this site I found Bios A18, A21 and A22. I flashed each one, and tried each one with SLIC Toolkit v 3.2. No Joy !!
Each showed SLIC 2.0.

Is there a current Bios update for a Optiplex 755 so I can activate it with Win 7 Pro? Or is something more required?

Intel d5400xs "Skulltrail" - Unlock/Mod request

Hello everybody,

I am currently working on a project named "Project skulltrail". 
This includes the usage of an very rare Intel d5400xs mainboard, also known as "Skulltrail" with two Socket 771-Quadcore (X5470) overclocked to 4Ghz.

While the hardware is up and running, I realised a very strange problem:

I want to use Windows 10 (e.g. because of the graphics cards used) and I can't install it. 
The Upgrade-programm, executed from Windows 7 x64 says "your CPU does not support CMPXCHG16b / CompareExchange128". This is not true, because the Upgrade is running fine using just the same CPU on an ASUS P5Q-E. 

I tried installing Windows 10 using a burned DVD - but the installer does only start using the 32bit-version of the setup which does not require the feauture mentioned above (and which is useless because I want to use the 16GB of installied FB-DIMMs). The 64bit-version does not start, probably because of the missing, or just not passed through via BIOS, support of CMPXCHG16b or because of the old SATA-controller image (2008).

So, my question is:
- Can someone unlock the support or some options in the BIOS so i can enable the CMPXCHG16b-function?
- Can someone patch the AHCI-controller-ROM to a more recent version? The board uses an Intel ESB2 AHCI Controller.
- Are there some other hidden menues which can be unlocked (especially concerning Intel EIST, PAE, NX, ...)?

Unlocking F.13 BIOS on HP 350 G2 with test clip to set DVMT

Hey guys,

so I tried to change the preallocated DVMT value in my BIOS but the advanced settings are hidden. Then I tried to change the variable via UEFI Shell grub following this guide:

Turns out the BIOS and the variables are locked/encrypted/whatever and I can't change them. Since I need to change that setting to get OS X running properly, I'm ready to go further. I've found following post:

First of all, I couldn't find a modified version of my BIOS which still was online. All links of it were removed.

HP 350 G2 Laptop
CPU Intel Core i5 5200-U @ 2,2 GhZ Broadwell-U Socket 1168 BGA

GPU Intel HD Graphics 5500, board manuf. 0x103C (0x803A)

I don't know yet which BIOS chip model I have and wanted to ask if someone has a modified version of my BIOS or can unlock it for me so I can access the DVMT setting or change it with the UEFI shell and if I can order this programmer to flash the bios:

Hi i need/would like all the bios options for my acer aspire e 15 
i have no power or advanced menu etc and the main thing is changing my video ram.
i've found it near impossible to find even the full tech specs of this laptop or a teardown/blueprint...
any help on these things is much appreciated

Hello!
I have Lenovo M30-70,my BIOS is:
  • Type: Insyde BIOS /ACPI 2.0
  • Vendor: LENOVO
  • Version:8BCN48WW(V3.11)
  • Size(4096K)

I want to replace my Atheros AR9565(QCWB335) with Atheros AR9285(AR5BR195).
I extracted my bios with (Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0) and I edited it with help of this tutorial. Is it ok?

I’m looking to flash the BIOS (and instructions on how to do that) with the latest BIOS update, *AND* to hopefully unlock the BIOS’s  CPU and Memory screens which are grayed out now, so I can overclock it. I've bought a large heatsink/fan to install to reduce the excess heat, looks like a car part.
