Sony VAIO unlock Advanced menu

Hello. I have laptop sony vaio svf1521n1rw. I want to unlock uefi, but the problem is that the laptop is protection from the modified bios and unlock the menu only if you know the code section, such https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...7#pid90017 . Please tell me what line in the bios are responsible for unlocking the menu.

I have read the tutorial about cbrom, but my question is whether it's safe to mod bios with "Award Bios Editor" tool or not.

Toshiba Satellite L300 BIOS Support

Hi, I need some help guys.
I want to upgrade my laptop with a stronger CPU, but I've been told that my BIOS might not accept more powerful processors with more than 3mb cache, e.g. T7800, T9300. The chipset is compatible with those, but the BIOS compatibility is unclear.
So:
1/ How do I know what processors are compatible with my BIOS? Is there any other way except real life testing? Or if somebody has already tryed a similar model laptop upgrade, please tell me what works and what not?
2/ In case my BIOS happens to be incompatible and doesn't accept more powerful CPUs with 4-6mb cache, what are my options? What modified BIOS can I use with my laptop and where to get it?

Laptop model is Toshiba Satellite L300 11m, PSLB0E 01G019B3, Mobile Intel 965 Chipset, InsydeH20 BIOS v.1.4, max upgrade offered by Toshiba is v.1.5. Current processor T2370. Possible options under consideration T8300, T7800, preferably T9300 .

Biostar A780L3 (AMD 760) FX-8230e AGESA update?

Hi guys. This is my first post here. I usually read this forum and download tools from this site, so this is the first time opening a thread. 

I recently received a brand new FX-8230e CPU as a gift, and I was hoping to use it in my SFF PC currently running an aging Athlon X4 620. The motherboard I have is a Biostar A780L3, and official CPU support ends at the 125w Phenom X6 series - no FX cpu support from Biostar

After a little research I found out there are AMD 760 chipset boards that support the FX series CPUs - from Asus, Gigabyte and Asrock, so I took matters into my own hands and attempted to insert AGESA v6.1.0.0 microcode into the latest BIOS.

The Good: The machine Posted normally with the Athlon X4, displaying CMOS Checksum bad. This went away after I reset CMOS.
The Bad: It still won't POST with the FX-8230e Sad

What did I do wrong? Does the BIOS need more then the AGESA microcode? 

Below you can find the motherboard's original bios (OLD.ROM) , the latest bios from Biostar's website (LATEST.BIN - I renamed it for convenience), and the bios I inserted AGESA microcode into (780FXV1.BIN). The board uses AMI bios.

Can someone help get the FX-8320e working on this board?

Hello to everyone. I'm a new user here.  Big Grin

Note: This is NOT MY WORK..! It is @BDMaster and @sherlocks who modifies this bios.

What I've done is only patching the iscflash.dll to bypass "bootblock downgrade error" for those who currently using F.22 bios and upward because I'm aware that public RSA-signed bios (F.19 and below) cannot be flashed using HP_Tools recovery media if the bios is currently on F.22 and above. I am one of those who had ZERO knowledge about assembly language, so to patch iscflash.dll in order to avoid "bootblock downgrade error" (which is only 4 op-code changed!) taking me countless hour of deep frustration. LOL. 

Ok so here it is --> Modded F.19 (iscflash.dll patched)

I've bought intel 6230 for my wife's computer and guess what? whitelist  Sad

So if anyone could help we with removal or in fact could change the bios I would be grateful.

i lost my UEFI Bios Password for my Lenovo Y50-70

hey everybody, i lost my UEFI BIOS Password and Secure Boot is aktivated.

Is there a chance to extract the Password from the Bios Backup i created?

i have a Backup with and without a Password but i cant boot in DOS anymore to flash back the backup file.

Hi friends, I am pleased to meet at beginning the New Year.
I write to ask your help in use, Xeon 5060 SL96A in motherboard Asus P5KPL 1600 (bios 0512.ROM: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5KPL1..._Download/ ).
Before to open this thread, i looked on this forum, but i dont find a moded bios with microcode for xeon 5060.
If is necessary replace one of microcode in your BIOS with new ones for Xeon 5060, you can overwrite cpuids :f34, f41, f43, f44, f47.

I am looking to see if there are any RAID options available for this motherboard. If there are they appear to be disabled (not visible in the bios menu).
I know that some components on this motherboard are used in an "upgraded" version that has raid available.


Here is the Bios version I am currently using.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

As you can see the attachment jpg , motherboard supports RAID , but only AHCI can be selected in storage settings in BIOS.
I think RAID is locked by bios. I appreciate any help . Thanks.

Hi all!

Like osx86ftw in his recent thread, I'm looking to change the DVMT pre-allocated memory setting on my ThinkPad and need help unlocking the BIOS to access that setting. Unfortunately, I tried the BIOS BDMaster unlocked for him, and it just resulted in my laptop starting for about 10 seconds and shutting down again (I do get the TPM beeps after flashing the modded BIOS, but nothing else). His unmodified BIOS backup has the same behavior sans the beeping, so they appear to be different configurations of the same system. I have a CH341a programmer ready to go with a working software setup, so I should be good to go on the hardware side of things.

I've gathered all of the files and information you should need and mirrored it across two different hosts, including dumps from the CH341a and the Universal Backup tool, an AIDA64 report, the results RAR
