Older but goodie? Wait .. no ... T180 with 7750 cpu?

Well I have this computer for a while... 

Its an old Acer T180 with the MCP61PM board.  Ive already found the abit bios mod.   Havent done it yet.   Before I found this forum I had already thrown in an Athlon 5200+ windsor 4gb of ram (2 were supposed to be dual speed 667/800 and 2 are 800 but 2 only seem to run 667... Dram freq is 326mhz) as well as a 600w bronze power supply and a 6700 series video card.    Ive also already put 2 new case fans in the computer.   

So heres the actual question.   I was wanting to drop in a 7750 Black am2+ cpu.    Any idea if it will work with the bios mod?  Can get one so cheap its honestly worth the shot. 

And on another question Ive seen the max ram for this board is 4gb.   But seen a couple of times people reporting they have managed to run 8gb on it.  Any confirmation to this?

I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 11 Model 20332 (BayTrail-M) and need to put ac wlan in it.

My actual (newest) Bios is 92cn93ww from this link
The original pci vendor id from my wlan is Broadcom 802.11n-Netzwerkadapter

I need to install the new device from Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 which has

Is there any chance to do this without any hardware ?

Request for bios mod for MSI KA790GX-M to disable keyboard/interface error message

I have a MSI KA790GX-M motherboard and all works fine with Phenom II x3 720 except for one problem,a message appears at every boot up:
Keyboard/Interface error , press F1 to resume. I press F1 and windows boots fine.
This problem is related to ps/2 connectors, i do not know why,the settings in the BIOS does not help, i use usb mouse and keyboard and all works fine.
So, it is possible to modify the bios file and remove this Keyboard/Interface error and the need to press the F1 every time i turn on or restart PC?
The latest bios for my motherboard is 17.B 2010-08-23

I ave almost given up because this laptop is so old that no one seems to have anything for it.  Or rather they did but so long ago that they are no longer available for download.  Hp dropped all support for this unit for Win10 which it runs very well under with the exception of a lousy WiFi chip.
I posted several complaints with Management at HP and was hoping to find that they had finally unlocked the bios on something they will no loner support
If the Powers That Be at HP had not made such a big deal of my complaining I might have stopped looking.  As it is, I am trying to find anyone who can tel me what I need to do to Mod the only bios I have for it (F.23 Insyde) to remove the Whitelist.  I have the exact replacemnet Broadcom Wifi chip that can handle AC but of course the Bios has it white-listed and it is locked to a Ralink chip that I would really like to replace.
Any Help appreciated

Hi there.

I recently got an HDD caddy so I could extend the storage on my laptop, but unfortunately the second drive isn't recognized within BIOS automatically and since it's completely locked down, I can't change anything.

It would be awesome, if someone could help me unlock the real settings Smile

Siemens Nixdorf PCD-4ND, Phoenix 1.03

I know this is maybe an unusual request in this forum - an unlock request for an vintage laptop from the 90's. I would like to disable the internal sound chip (ESS AudioDrive ES1688F) of the PCD-4ND to use a Soundblaster compatible ISA-card in the docking-station. The PCD-4ND has the ancient Phoenix BIOS A486 Version 1.03 REV-F3Q42/3H13.

In the Phoenix BIOS "System Setup" menu is a field "Audio Device:". I can not choose any options for "Audio Device:" as I can on other items (see attached image) in the "System Setup". I would guess that Siemens Nixdorf has castrated the BIOS.

ASUS P5B Deluxe - amibcp

Hello,
i've modified my old p5b deluxe to support a xeon x3363, and i've some trouble with ram, my kingston 800 works perfectly at 833 just when 2 instead of 4 are installed, else everithing goes someway unstable (fails memtest and aida, sometimes close games).
i've modded bios http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock...e-1238.zip to support new options rom and cpu microcode without any trouble with mmtool 3.26, but if i touch ram settings with
amibcp, the bios result someway corrupted and i can't change anymore cpu freq or some ram settings when in manual mode.
Can you please tell me where am i doing wrong please?

T180 R01-B1 Pheonix flashing trouble

So I decided while I collect parts for my new computer to go ahead and flash my current T180...... but that didnt go without a fight


Its the typical em61sm/em61pm
Athlon x2 5200 cpu
4 gigs of 800 ram
hd6700 video card
600w bronze power supply
Phoenix bios
Raid controller
Windows 10 64bit

Now Ive tried flashing it with phlash and it came up saying it couldnt due to emm386.   Also had issues with it just even accepting any of the different boot usb's (used rufus hp wintoflash etc)
I tried it with just the base files and the full 98 startup disk. The only way I ever got all the way to the phlash program was to leave the startup disk completely intact with all of the files. If I trimmed it down to just the 3 files or even all of the dos programs it wouldnt boot. Would just go straight to windows.
any advice or idea what im doing?  Im trying to flash the abit bios into it.

Hey guys

PC model: Acer Aspire 5741G (4gb ram, 500gb hd, ati hd 5470)

I want to know if  there is a bios unlocked for my pc,
because I want to increase the fan speed and the original bios doesn't allow it.

 Moreover I want to know if there is a guide to unlock the original bios. (I'd like to learn how to do it!!)
