Hello guys,

I found some previous posts with this request, but I wasn't sure if they will work 100% on my laptop.

I'm hopping that someone can unlock some tabs where I can modify some of the settings, because I'm trying to install MAC as second OS.

I'm attaching the original BIOS zip file from Acer drivers website for my laptop.

Original spec of the laptop:

Intel Core i7-4702MQ 2.2GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2GB
17.3HD+ Acer CineCrystal Led LCD (1600x900)
4GB DDR3 L Memory (upgraded my self by putting 2x4GB, Total now 12GB Ram)
1000GB HDD (added second drive which is SSD 120GB)

[Request] Dell Dimension 5100 "Incompatible Processor" Warning

Hi....My first post ...so take it easy !! Shy

Upgraded to a 945 Dual Core CPU  in a Dell Dimension 5100 ....and now have to press the F1 key to get past the "Incompatible Processor" warning..
Is there a bios mod to bypass the F1 key pressing !!!???

I've updated to bios A03.

Hi! I'm hoping someone can help me out with a BIOS mod to enable any hidden BIOS options, I'm looking for things like undervolting, underclocking, disabling turbo boost possibly, anything like that. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Can someone help me to get a Xeon L5335 SLAEN get to work?I tried several biosmods and I can see the Asus splashscreen but I can not boot to dvd drive or harddisk.

Hello, I'd really like to unlock some feature on my Lenovo, maybe run it only on the nvidia gpu instead of the whole optimus intel/nvidia thing maybe.

Request for Lenovo 3000 N500 4233 Bios Mod

Hello,

First of all the computer data:
Lenovo 3000 N500 4233 with HDMI
Phoenix Version 1.09.

This computer has a 9300m gs GPU and its idle temp is 70°C

I discovered why after changing the thermal pads and after an accurate monitoring of the temp.

My CPU is a T9400 and its idle temp is 33 - 35°C. The fan is only controlled with the CPU temp, the PC doesn't take care of GPU temp.
So if the CPU is under 41°C the fan is OFF! Even if GPU is 70°C.

Do I need to modify the bios to decrease the CPU temps in order to switch on the fan at 33°C?

In fact it's my son computer and he is always playing games that use the GPU and it sometimes reach 105°C!!!!!!!!
I have allready underclocked the GPU (max temp is then 95°C but it is still too much), no way to undervolt it!

AHCI menu added but selecting does not enable

Sorry if I post in the AMI forum but I need some expert view on this situation.
The bios I am working on is not AMI bu Phoenix, I was able to add a "PATA+SATA id control" menu to the bios.
This menu let's you select the PATA SATA pair for chipset sis 968, no matter what one selects, the bios reverts to 5513+1183 after saving and exiting, this means IDE + SATA in ide emulation mode.
AFAIK the 968 chipset is perfectly able of RAID and AHCI however maybe this menu I added doesn't really change anything in the bios.
I was wondering maybe there's a way to set the correct pair by hardcoding it in the bios with an hex editor, some bits maybe, hence forcing the IDE+SATA AHCI or IDE+SATA RAID mode.
Does anyone have an idea?

modded phoenix bios shows sata ahci options but doesn't really enable (option rom?)

Does anyone have an idea? Is it an option rom problem? I saw there are RAID and AHCI option roms for Phoenix, could this be the problem? Adding the rom?

hi bios mods community,

my laptop is the ACER ASPIRE 5736z
BIOS VERSION: 1.14 Insydeh2o


i really want to have access to advanced settings like cpu/gpu over/under-clocking, dedicated video memory (to increase/decrease the amount of it).

right now there are NO options like this at all. you can't set anything in the standard bios except for "quiet boot" and that standard stuff

Thanks for all people who are working in this forum I am new here and I have got a Lenovo z50-70 core i7 4510U , 8gb Ram , 840m nVidia 4gb and I can't replace my Wifi card so I am requesting any experience person to modify my BIOS to flash it to be able to change my Wifi card

Hi all, I would like to replace the stock wifi card to a wifi card that OS X support natively. But the problem is with all HP/Compaq laptop, there is this wifi error. Any kind soul can help me remove this whitelist? Thank you very much Smile
