[REQUEST] ASUS B43S unlock advanced menu

Hi, I have this B43s bios that is not showing many advanced options. The problem is, this laptop has switchable graphics that I need to disable, in order to use eGPU.

Followed some tutorials and poked around with AMIBCP, but I am stuck at what to do with the menu structure.

Question 1.
There seem to be a duplicate "Main" menu structure; one of them has the "Switchable Graphics" option I need.
How do I make it visible?

Question 2.
Some posts suggested to make all options "Access : user".
How risky is that? What is the chance that I can brick computer by doing "Access : user" only?

Because this is my main laptop, I try to be careful with it.

Greetings,

I was attempting to mod SLIC2.1 table onto my BIOS using AndyP's SLIC tool:

I believe i selected the wrong mode: SSV2; should have had selected dynamic mode instead that update existing SLIC2.0 table to 2.1

Initially, there was one beep then follow by two beeps. I assumed I might need to reset the BIOS before the new BIOS would worked. Thus I removed the CMOS battery and waited 5mins to power on the laptop. But, it got worst, now there is no beeps at all. the LCD indicators have the num lock, caps lock and scroll lock symbols flashing consistently - indicating the mainboard is bricked.

I downloaded CRISIS Recovery Disk Tool (WINCRISIS) and created the BIOS recovery USB boot drive:

Followed these instructions to the letter but no joy:

the original is BIOS_data.rom and I renamed it to BIOS.WPH

I'm not 100% sure if it's a binary bios, but it should be the case (2048Kb). I attached the BIOS file, i'd appreciate if anyone can confirm this

I'm at wits' end and I'd be grateful for any input and assistance

Here's a picture of the Main page on my BIOS. The memory is greyed out. There is no graphics card on this computer though. I'm really hoping there is some way an option to slightly overclock it appears

Dear freds & pro members,

Could any one have idea how to change the splash screen of HP 246 laptop.
I have an annoying image burnt in it.

Searched a tons of blogs but not working.
Most of them are tutorial for Lenovo B460.

Is Insyde bios so much secure to access splash screen in it?

Hello dear people, I really was looking for an unlocked BIOS settings and found similar requests from other users, but all references have unfortunately not working Confused . I would like to install the Intel Network 7260.HMWG WiFi Wireless-AC 7260 H/T Dual Band 2x2 AC+Bluetooth HMC but my laptop will not boot with it installed. Can you remove the whitelist banning my card? I have swapped the card 4 times now and I'm kinda over it...

[REQUEST] LG R510 Insyde Bios Modification Request

Hello!

First of all i'd want to thank you the awesome work is done here.
I'm stuck with a problem with my LG R510 Laptop and i'm wondering if you could help me.

I've found QLXL3C52 modified BIOS for this Laptop model in this site, but it's not consistent as it hangs everytime I try to access unlocked features, so i can't really use it.

Last BIOS version for LG R510 is QLXL3F22, and i was wondering if it would be possible to unlock:

- Intel speedstep configuration (on/off) (its generating me some problems with audio apps)
- HDD boot order setup (have replaced Optical Disc with another HDD) I can select HDD as first boot priority, but cant determine which one of the HDDs is gonna be the booting one. It always tries boots from the secondary HDD placed in DVD drive.

And that's it
Any further suggestion would be appreciated but i think its the only features it would be nice to unlock

7260AC-card doesn't work on HP G62-a19SO

Hi Members.

I am trying to replace my old wifi-card in the PC: HP G62-a19SO with the Intel 7260HMW card with Dual Band Wireless AC.

I found this forum about how to make the Bios accept the wifi card with NWL. Had F.0A and tried with sp55430NWL and the bios crashed. Updated to latest F.48 and then tried sp55430NWL. This works. Just a little helper if you have the same problem outthere.


Well, my problem is now that I can switch WLAN ON and OFF on the button on my PC, but the card doesn't register this in Win7. The HP wireles assistant does though. The HP wireless Assistant is working for turning Bluetooth on and off, but no WLAN is registered.

I have tried deinstalling HP wireless Assistant and installing the Intel drivers through the automatic update program. Removing the device in device manager and reinstalling. Nothing works. The card seems correctly installed, but just says hardware switch is OFF even though the button works and I can switch it ON and OFF. It just stays OFF.



Can anyone help me out?


Thanks so much for wonderful help with removing whitelist, just doen't help if it will not read the card properly.
