[Request] Offering $50 to unlock multiplier of X8DTi (or BLCK overclocking)

$

Not sure if it's even possible, but I really need overclocking on my X8DTi. I will offer $50 via PayPal to whoever can fulfill this request. We can discuss here or if you want I can add you on skype.

Thanks! Here is the BIOS download http://www.supermicro.com/about/policies/disclaimer.cfm?url=/support/resources/getfile.aspx?ID=1727

You can change the multiplier in the BIOS, but it is stuck at 21. If you could unlock the multiplier that would work, or adding BLCK controls would be fine also Smile

I may also offer some additional money if you add voltage control, but that one definitely seems out of reach Tongue

I lost SLIC table in Acer Aspire One 725

Hello All,

I downladed a bios update from Acer website for my netbook. However after the update, I lost the OEM windows activation info from the bios. I would like to get it back. Is it possible?

Model name : Acer Aspire One 725--884
Old firmware version - I didn't note it down.
Existing firmware version - 2.12 . Here is the link ( 2.12 version link from acer )
Lower version available in Acer website - 1.08 . Here is the link ( 1.08 link from acer )

There is also one more file called "firmware" on the same download page. Here is the link ( firmware link from acer )

LONG description

My Acer netbook (Aspire One 725-0884) came with preloaded Windows 8. But it has only 2GB of RAM. So it was not running smoothly. So I had installed Linux and running it for the past three years.

I wanted to load back Windows 8 in it. I couldn't find the Windows 8 legit iso. So I had loaded Windows 7 for which I already had the iso.
I thought I could find the Windows 8 key somehow. I used the SLIC toolkit from SLIC website )

It could read the SLIC info. But it did not give me the key. Meanwhile there were some new problems in my netbook. F2 key did not work as soon as I booted.

So I thought maybe that bios got corrupted and I went to Acer website looking for help. I could find a bios update available for dowload from Acer website for my model. So I downloaded it and ran it.

And then after that, I got the error message (no boot device found).

For many many many times I try pressing F2 key rapidly after boot. Luckily, I could get into bios menu once. Quickly I changed from UEFI mode to Legacy BIOS mode.

Now again I am able to boot to Windows 7.

HOWEVER, now when I run SLIC toolkit, it says there is no SLIC table available.

Now I have Windows 8 legit iso. But seems like I cannot install and activate it, as the SLIC table is deleted.

Is it possible to recover the SLIC table and activate Windows 8 OEM version?

If the methods that you are suggesting have some risks associated with it, I am OK with it.
Once again, I am saying that I am OK with the risks of bricking the hardware.
I will be also be extra careful.

So please tell me how I can get back the SLIC table.

MSI X58 Pro-E (MS 7522) - Xeon support

Please I need help with bios microcode update to support Xeon LGA 1366 CPU's, as least the X5650, X5670 and X5690 - pretty please?

MSI X58 Pro-E, AMI Bios 8.F - http://www.msi.com/support/mb/X58_ProE.html#down-bios

These Xeons work in the mainboard ( http://postimg.org/image/f9ka2hnl9/ ), but they are not recognized as Xeons during post/bios. I believe this could have get better, if the bios is updatedwith the LGA 1366 Xeons microcode & support, nope?

Alternative download links for the bios (unlocked options in AmiBCP 3.5, so pls use these links rather):
https://mega.co.nz/#!bRNgiZhQ!0OEuaJUP8_nzSrw8XvYw1PTkznUWARAxGFLnqz1wNGk
http://dfiles.eu/files/1plosw4r8
http://www.mediafire.com/?829zvb1m7bc70bg

How hard this can be? As for the source donator of the bios, then a X58 chipset board that does support these Xeons are Supermicro X8SAX:
http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon3000/X58/X8SAX.cfm
"Intel® Core™ i7 / i7 Extreme Edition, and Intel® Xeon® 5600/5500/3600/3500"

So, donator bios is there:
https://mega.co.nz/#!GJ1DRKgS!EmrT9RcSxmt1U56L_a1vn-SSh9Iog2b5Hq2blw79VR4
http://dfiles.eu/files/2d8mlj2t8
http://www.mediafire.com/?2hy8wmdeqm1d3ci

...and I can open it in AmiBCP, but... don't know what else to do. Pls help?

PS: for Windows 7 activation I saw a SLIC v2.1 mod for this X58 Pro-E mobo there:

Quote:Request Bios Mod SLIC 2.1

-Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : MSI X58 PRO-E
-Bios Revision : 7522v8f
-Bios Type : AMI
-Bios SLIC : 2.1 MSI
-Bios Link : http://d01.megashares.com/dl/c145db0/7522v8F.zip

Mod http://www.mediafire.com/?9x32uamlfrf4tp2

But dunno, if that help anyone. I have legit Win7, so I don't need this. On top of that, I planing to use WinXP on this mobo Big Grin

PS2: looks like using the MMTool v3.26 is possible to extract modules / replace modules in the bios:

However even extracting the bios logo is fun:

...I still have a hard time figuring out the CPU microcode support. It is the "P6 Micro Code"? And what about the CPU PATCH tab? And how to combine the P6 Micro Codes? I mean... the microcode on the MSI X58 Pro-E is bigger that the one on the Supermicro X8SAX... So even I can replace the MSI microcode with the Supermicro microcode, then I will actually remove some CPU support as the file from Supermicro is smaller...
Hmmm, anyone can help me there?

Upgraded the CPU and it works. 35W b980 vs 35W i5 2520m but the old CPU had overheating stop at 85° and the new has critical temperature at 100° Thats the only thing i have to get fixed now cause with load it just goes off sometimes. I think i7 could work too.

[REQUEST] SPI Flashable Bios for Acer Aspire ES1-411-C0LT

Background:
This laptop is running a Bay Trail CPU. Intel FPT will read buy not wright, even after resuming from sleep... I get the dreaded "Error 286: Unable to write data to flash with SPI lock enabled."

I have an CH341A Programmer and clip, and have successfully backed up my chip's bios, erased it, then confirmed it was actually erased (wouldn't boot), then wrote the backup back to the chip, and it was able to boot again. So my programmer works!

I tried to use Phoenix tools on the backup of the Bios, and it appeared to work, and I was able to flash it, but the it failed to boot.

Could someone please mod this bios with the Acer 2.1 Slic? So that I can flash it with my programmer?

[eGPU Whitelist Removal] Turning Laptop into Beast Gaming Rig!

Hey guys, i have an HP DV6T-6B00, it is a quad core i7 laptop with a mobile graphics chip in it already, however it isn't powerful enough. So i recently bought the EXP GDC (external pci-e express adapter) to setup an external, more powerful graphics card. Unfortunately prior i had no awareness of "whitelisting" and the card wasn't picked up. I've worked on the issue for 6 hours straight with no solution. I've tried downgrading the bios to a version that HAS been modded but NO LUCK. (i tried editing the .dll file for inysdflash to set check bios version flag = 0) I've also tried various other methods to downgrade the firmware, all with no luck. I was preiously on a higher firmware version and this is the furthest i can go back.

There is already a request for this whitelist removal that was posted 2 years ago and no one modded it yet, i'm hoping by now someone should be able to do it. I was a complete newbie to this a few hours ago, using all the resources i can from this site to try every attempt possible i was not able to succesfully downgrade/mod this BIOS.

Bios Version: F.19
Download link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp57001-57500/sp57474.exe
Windows 7 64 Bit

I would greatly appreciate any effort applied to this, i will contribute to this website as i have committed so much of my time into this one issue.

Hi, i have that laptop with an Intel Dualband AC7260

Bios Download Link: Bios Version 5.09 (After unpacking Kaspersky shows a Virus but i think and hope that's a wrong alert)

I sadly have no Idea of the PCI ID of the Original Card because i throw it away. I just know, it was an Intel N 2230 (only 2.4 Ghz an Bluetooth).

I now have the AC7260 in use and WLAN (2.4 and 5 Ghz) is working well, but i can't use Bluetooth (it's not even reckognized).
I have asked the Medion Support and they only told me that this card isn't compatible and gave me a whisper that there is a whitelist.

I hope some of you can help me.

Thank You ! !
