Sorry if this isn't an AMI BIOS. I'm new. D:

I have a dell Inspiron n5030 and I want to overclock it. The BIOS is locked however and I can't.

If someone knows how to unlock it if they could that would be great.

CH341A v1.29

Can somebody help me with this rar file, I am unable to open the CH341A. I recently found somewhere. It is the v1.29 of CH341A.
First, I keep having a problem with my antivirus seeing it as a threat but I disabled it and extracted the file again.
Second, the CH341A.exe file (not the CH341Afree.exe) doesn't seem to work. It doesn't open. Maybe iy needs to be repacked or something?
In any case, can someone please have a look at it?( I know this is probably not where you should post this, but I didn't really know where else to do it... Sorry in advance)

Because of this, I am afraid that it might actually be a virus.

EDIT:
Because these programs were from China, you need to change your computer's system locale to Chinese to get them to work.

So this notebook has a throttling problem.

I’d simply like the throttling temperatures to be adjusted up by 10 °C or something.
A year ago or something I had a discussion with ASUS support telling me that it all works correctly because the device hits 108 °C under load if you use the right tools to read the sensors. (which is bogus)
I don’t know if such options are usually unlockable, but a hardcoded change should be sufficient anyway.

Hello. I've been lurking around and learning and finally today I modded my Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 bios with a Gigabyte SLIC, Certs and so on. I used the F7 bios since they've been the most stable for me with my overclock and I used Award Tool 1.52 for the modding. Everything went smoothly and it's working fine. Big Grin

I've attached my modded bios in case they're useful to anyone else. Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to learn this and show us lesser mortals how to do it. It's people like you that make the Internet a special place. Cool

Requesting a BIOS unlock. My laptop model is very new (only been available a month). I custom ordered it with a gtx 930m, but HP thought it would be a great idea to ship it booting Intel HD 5500 and not allowing access to the boot graphics option in the BIOS.

I'm really new to this and couldn't get Andy's Phoenix Tool to properly read my unpacked BIOS to see if it's RSA signed. Sorry Sad

Need a Packard Bell 'Dot a' unlocked BIOS

Hi,

I have a Packard Bell dot a netbook. I tried to upgrade memory from 2Gb to 4Gb.
BIOS recognized the 4Gb but I couldn't use it, in windows I saw only 1,75 Gb usable memory (same as with 2Gb RAM before).

First I tried to update BIOS since I thought that causes the problem and this is why I don't see any settings in it. So I tried to install 1.18 version with the windows installer but after reboot I have a black screen, it looks like I'll have to do a BIOS recovery, described in the service manual (attached).

But once I start working around this, an unlocked BIOS would be great.
