Hi, I used bios mod

Good things do not happen for free, I understand that and at present I do not know what amount of donate should we contribute to make it to happen. So, I decided to make a poll first. Just to gather statistics for BIOS MOD makers.

P.S.: I have no any relations with BIOS MOD makers, I am just an ordinary user who loves X220 - one of the last true IBM\Lenovo machines that serves me right for almost 5 years. And I want it to last even longer!

Hi. Today i tried to install hackingtosh on the hp pavilion g6 2208eo. but something is missing in the bios. I think it has something to do with graffikoptions. Is there a custom bios you cab download and install, or is there something else i could do? I am a newbie with this Bios, so be gentle..

I'm wondering if it's possible to mod the BIOS on the Lenovo E530s(same a E430/E430s, and E530 I think) to get rid of the battery check that prevents third party batteries from working?

Please I need your help in unlocking the bios of my HP 15 p002nia. i am currently running the latest Insyde bios f.09.

I am trying to get hackingtosh running on it and there are no advanced settings in the current locked bios.

My dear friends !

I unfortunately bricked my Asus Notebook!  

The mainboard is an K72Jr from ASUS with Rev. 2.0 .
BiosChip = SST25VF032B (32Mbit /4Mb EEprom )

The history:
I flashed the bios with EasyFlash.
After the flash it shut down and never wake up to reboot!    
No light no function no charging light .....  ----> nothing happens when i press the power button !

I thought by myself :  No problem !  
I downloaded the BiosFile (size 2Mb)from Asus site and programmed the desoldered chip.

Now !:
The white LED from the power button lights when i plug in the charger !
(without battery and without pressing the power button)

After 30 sec. the fan begins to run permanently but no picture on the display and also no signal on the VGA port.
Cpu and graphicchip becomes warm....but not hot !
Now i press the power button for 7 sec. the fan stops running but the white power LED still lights.
And the green Numlock and Shiftlock Leds are blinking slowly.
Graphics chip and CPU stays warm.

I programmed the Bios for 3 times with different firmware, but same Ship same station ..!

Maybe its a Crashfree Bios ? Or its not the full Bios File ? Or the Bios Chip is damaged ?
And.... why is the BiosChip 4Mb but the BiosFile only 2Mb ?

Any idea or suggestion ?

I have a hm76 chipset Toshiba Satellite Pro L870-18R running the stock i3 cpu. I would like to unlock the bios and utilise this cpu

Intel Core i7-3740QM 2.70 GHz FCPGA988 L3 6 MB 4 Cores CPU 2.70GHz



This is my first foray into Toshiba hardware (and to be honest my last, pretty depressed with their whitlisting of things in the Bios - yuck)



This machine was supposed to replace my thinkpad (size of screen and osx86 supported gpu without using intelhd or worrying about nvidia optimus being unspoorted - hence AMD/ATI gpu).

I have bought all things on a every tight budget as I have very little finances. I am hoping someone would graciously help or give pointers. I am going to - if this is a possible machine to reverse whitelisting - use this thread alongside insanelymac's forums to help any others. I am also going to donate to anyone here able to help with the bios as presently this is just a crippled machine and your forums are my only savior at present.



Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help someone with a disassembled laptop struggling to make a cpu upgrade. With any luck I will be able to use this machine.
