I need insideh20 S410 unlocked bios.
Because,
I want to change the memory clock, gpu overclock and advanced menu.

Changing momory clock is more important than others for me.. so if you are tiresome, enabling memory clock menu will be enough.

[Request] BIOS Unlock for further upgrading/modding of Toshiba Satellite C655-S5507

I am in the process of upgrading and modding my Toshiba Satellite C655-S5507.

I would mod the BIOS myself but I'm more of a hardware and software repair and maintenance TECH.

BIOS software location:

http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=3606750

The current BIOS that I have is an InsydeH20 Rev. 3.5
Inside of the BIOS the BIOS information on the Main Tab reads

System BIOS Version : 1.30
EC Version : 1.40

I am looking to get all of the TABS that are available originally restored to the BIOS. I am aware of doing the research to make sure how each setting effects the laptop so as not to fry the system. I'm not concerned with overclocking as doing this on a laptop is stupid in my opinion.

Pegatron A15

I have replaced an i7-2670QM with my B820 on my laptop and naturally I'm getting performance out of only two cores at the moment. I have also put an additional ram of 8 gigs to a sum of 10 gigs.

Now to my issue,

My bios does not allow me to manually change dedicated video memory given to Intel HD Graphics 3000. It runs with 64 mb dedicated video memory at the moment.

I want to unlock cpu related features to change video memory limit and modify cpu support if possible. Proplem is that I have a quite rare motherboard (Pegatron A15).

Could you tell me which steps to take at this moment? I have loaded image of my bios rom to MMtool-Aptio-4.5 but honestly I have no idea how to modify these settings.

Here are some info I could gather with my little knowledge on the subject.

-Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : PEGATRON CORPORATION A15
-Bios Company Name: American Megatrends Inc.
-Bios Type and Version: AMI EFI 302 (AIDA64 report)
-Rw-everything report: https://www.sendspace.com/file/wgq71h

-Bios Link : http://www.mediafire.com/download/c5...IOS.Update.rar (A win 8 tweaked version of my bios, which with 303 code instead my 302.)

Any help will be much appreciated, I have been researching for days but couldn't find a solution.

Thanks.

I've seen kemod's successful mod on a X230t but I don't have the soldering skills
https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-TUTORIAL-Lenovo-X230-Tablet-BIOS-Whitelist-Removal-Hardware-Flash
I've seen mhaedo(from whom I copied most of his request post) tried to do this with a clip but failed
https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-REQUEST-Thinkpad-X230-Whitelist-Removal--18404
there is an article about this on coreboot wiki so the clip should work
http://www.coreboot.org/Board:lenovo/x230
I'm guessing mhaedo failed because he did not provide separate 3.3V power

and I do have some questions to ask:
1, if the whitelist is removed, do I have to use Wi-Fi adapters from Lenovo with FRU label or any generic Wi-Fi adapters(like the gigabyte branded 7260) will work? I don't care if the hardware wireless switch doesn't work.

2, again, will broadcom adapters work? I want this because 7260 is only 2x2 MIMO, there are broadcom 3x3 MIMO adapters, and maybe I'll try a Hackingtosh mod later.

3, I have not ordered the adapter yet so suggestions are welcomed.

4, I know TPM module must be disabled, but are there any other consequences beside this?

5, some Wi-Fi adapters like 7260 comes with bluetooth integrated, I assume I should remove the old bluetooth module after this, again are there any other consequences?

as of now (2015-04-16) I'm waiting for the SOP8 clip and spare MX25L3206E, I'll update my progress, thank you all for reading this long post

Lenovo U310 Bios overridden

Hey Guys,
here is my problem.

A friend of mine has a Laptop, the Lenovo U310 to be specific, which gave him a BSOD everytime he tried to boot it up, se he gave it to me.

I tried out a few things but wasnt able to fix it so i just tried to reinstall Windows 8, and wiped the data from the disk (he was ok with formating the disk). So I booted up a bootable pen drive with win 8 and installed it as usual. After It copied everything from the pen drive to the hard drive and tried to restart, its basically dead. Once pressing the power button, you only get a blackscreen with nothing happening at all and no possibility to get into the bios, even bootable pen drives dont boot. After some googling I found out the Bios is stored on Disk - so i overrid it with the formating.

I downloaded the original U310 Bios.wph file and tried to make a recovery pen drive with wincrisis.exe and the tutorial provided on this board, however after inserting the pen drive and starting the notebook with FN+R (custom shortcut for bios flashing by lenovo) it reads from the pen drive for about 3-5 seconds. After that time, it just sort of crashes and reboots with nothing changed.

My guess is im doing something terribly wrong with the pen drive? My steps are:
-start wincrisis as administrator in XP sp3 compatiblity
-press start
-reinsert the usb stick
-press start again
-remove usb stick and exit wincrisis
-replug usb and copy the original bios.wph + phlash16 and minidos to the pen drive
-plug the usb into the notebook
-press FN+R and dont let go
-press power button

Thanks in advance

Hello, i have a 6560b.

And i'd like also to replace the wifi card with another one which supports 5ghz networks..

Can someone do something? I'm more interested about whitelist removal, because i don't know which wifi card i'm going to install.
But any thing you can enable on this bios would me much appreciated!

Hi,

well i bricked my Lenovo Z500 and i'm trying to flash the bios with a CH341A programmer. The problem is that there are 2 bios Chips and i have only one bios.bin file. How i can split it?

Fyi, i already flashed something at the bios chips, meaning i splitted the bios to two parts with a Hex Editor but i don't know each file must contain to be flashed to two bios chips.

Is there anybody with a backup bios from the two chips??

Thanos

Unlock Compaq AMI 5.19 Bios

Hey everyone.................

Was just wondering if there is a way to unlock or hack my Bois ? The reason i'm searching for this is as follows.................

My budget is very limited as of late and i want to fully upgrade my current PC before diving into building a new one from scratch.
My Ram Limit is only 4-GIG where Compaq/HP has removed 2 of the 4 RAM slots on my M2N68-LA (Narra6) motherboard

I have the AMD II Athlon X2 2xx/2xxe (Regor) Processor at the moment but found my MoBo can supports these Processors

Socket type: AM3
TDP: 95 watt
AMD Phenom II X4 9xx/9xxe/8xx Quad-Core (Deneb)
AMD Phenom II X3 7xx/7xxe Triple-Core (Heka)
AMD Phenom II X2 5xx (Callisto)
AMD II Athlon X4 6xx/6xxe (Propus)
AMD II Athlon X3 4xx/4xxe (Rana)
AMD II Athlon X2 2xx/2xxe (Regor)
AMD Sempron 1xx (Sargas)

Obversely i want to fully upgrade my PC so i was looking at the AMD Phenom II X4 9xx/9xxe/8xx Quad-Core (Deneb).
But then found out that the AMD Athlon X2 5000+ can be unlocked to the same specs as the Phenom II X4 9xx/9xxe/8xx Quad-Core (Deneb) BUT at a much cheaper cost.

I've had a little look around and not sure where to go from here............... Here is some more details about my system

I also have the Model Number, Product Number, The Build Id and the Core Number if needed.........................

Any help with this would be great Big Grin
