amd athlon 6000 in an acer aspire t180

Hi guys, looking for some help here, I just got the amd athlon 6000 in the mail today and i have the unlocked bios with oc for my board (mcp61sm-am), presently i have the 4600 cpu overclocked to 2.6ghz but i want to use my new cpu if it will work, I tried swapping the 6000 for the 4600(cleared cmos) and it was a no go......black screen, no beeps, bios wouldn't post so i swapped the cpus back and upgraded the bios to the locked original from acer.....swapped again, still nothing. Ive been reading on here that the abit_unlocked works with these boards and the foxconn also, i haven't tried the foxconn yet but have tried the abit flashing through dos but it errors saying no signature file found. I had found the wph file before that was with it but cannot find it now.....it's just the bin file with the download from the repos, could someone tell me if the 6000 was confirmed working with this board and help me find the wph file that TheWiz had originally posted please, I'd be very grateful for any help. MSI MS-6378X-L Bad Bios Flash

I need help, the motherboard was working without trouble but it didnt have a hard drive after all, Ive managed to find a old HDD PATA W. Digital 250 Gb but thats when it started the problems.
The motherboard only managed to identify 136 Gb out of the 250 Gb on the drive, so Ive looked for a BIOS update before trying to modd the BIOS, I found out that it was realy unupdated so I downloaded the new BIOses looking for resolve this issue about the hard drive limit, since there is no longer floppy disks arround I decide to flash the BIOS through AWDWinFlash on Windows XP SP2.
I made a backup of the old BIOS then started the procedure to flash the new one (update the all BIOS including boot block), it didnt took that mutch time but the program said "Verify Error!" so I got scared on this problem and flashed back the old BIOS but the program said again the error, after dealing with this error Ive flashed back the new updated BIOS and pray that it worked restarting the machine.
After the restart it happend what I was specting, a bad BIOS, the motherboard made 1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps then stops and them starts out with constantly short high beeps and no video.
I managed to find a old floppy disk and made a Windows 98 bootdisk, deleted config.sys and a bunch of unneed files and place the DOS flasher that cames with the BIOS update compressed file and also the BIOS file, and created a AUTOEXEC.BAT with the following line in it:

@ECHO OFF
@AWFL823 W6378VMS.350 /cc /py /sn /r

Putting this bootdisk on the machine, made the exact symptoms that Ive described earlyer put down a PS/2 keyboard and pressed Enter praying that these will work but the machine didnt don anything.

After some hours Ive though why a simple BIOS update of the board failed, and looked down and it was clear that Ive miss flashed a different BIOS, Ive flashed down a MS-6378 BIOS from MSI oficial site and not the MS-6378X-L.

Anyone chance of trying to get back alive this board?

Hello and Happy New Year,



I am not sure if this is the correct forum, but I am trying to obtain the Bios ROM File From Lenovo U530 Laptop (InsydeH20 rev 31.7, ver. 7cc62ww).

When I extract the 7CC62WW.exe with 7z.exe, it is not clear to me that any of the extracted contents is the Bios ROM File. Which I could use following sticky in this forum for removing whitelist.

Any help and/or guidance on how to obtain the Bios ROM File for flashing, would be appreciated.

I have essentially replaced the Intel 7260-N Adapter with Intel 7260-AC and ran into this dreaded PCI Device Whitelist.

If someone could please unlock this for me, I would GREATLY appreciate it. I've been following this site for the past year+ in the hopes that there would be an unlock for my BIOS so I can replace the absolutely dreadful ralink wifi card with a decent intel one, and possibly some other things such as a CPU upgrade or an overclock.

My laptop is a Pavilion DV7 6b56nr and it was released in 2011.

GA-EP35-DS4 F6 BIOS with Xeon Microcode

I put Xeon L5420 771 socket CPU my GA-EP35-DS4 (rev 2.1) mainboard.
I used latest F6 BIOS.
Xeon worked, but intel Speedstep, did not work. (It was not SSE 4.1 also)

I made modified BIOS from F6.
I used this instructions and utilities.

My mainboard works well with new modified BIOS.
I have speedstep support and SSE 4.1

(Originally this U310 was equipped with intel 2230, currently I use AR9285, but I really prefer higher speed BCM card.)

Laptop: acer aspire v3-572g with the model number Z5WAH.
I want to be able to access the advanced settings for fan control. I prefer cooler temps over a quiet fan. As well as other acpi and thermal management settings.
