Asus P7F-M WS - i7-875k CPU Ratio Settings support

Hi,

is there a chance to edit de Bios to support greater CPU Ratio Settings than the defaults? The i7-875k has an free Multiplikator but the Bios highest value is 22 (default turbo ratio).

Bios: AMI
Mainboard: Asus P7F-M WS
CPU: Intel Core i7-875k

I tryed AMIBCP 3.46 but i can only change the Value from user to extend user, supervisor and reserved. (Advanced -> CPU Configuration -> CPU Ratio Settings)

i need help unlocking my bios and i need all of the hidden menus to be unhidden because ive been trying to install mac os x and i have tried almost very distro and they all freeze before they get to the installer because the bios isnt allowing the install discs to access certain information
here is some info on my system

Northbridge AMD 785GX rev. 00
Southbridge AMD SB800 rev. 40
i am on bios version 1.80
any help would be greatly appreciated
And i uploded the iso image file for the bios and i compressed it since the site would not let me upload it just as it was

Compatible battery and bios problems

I've bought a new battery for my notebook, an old AMILO Li 2727, but when it is plugged in and I try to turn on the laptop, the BIOS blocks Angry. If I remove it and restart the computer, it works properly, even if I plug the battery after the end of the BIOS check.

I think is some control on the battery that fails and make the BIOS loop on the check, in fact when it is blocked, pressing F2/ESC/F12 make the string at the bottom of the screen change, writing "Entering into BIOS setup", but it will remain blocked (even the ctrl+alt+canc to reboot works Huh).

Have you any solution for this problem? Unfortunately the BIOS' features are not so numerous, and there isn't any options on the power pane (furthermore there isn't any power pane!) I thought at a custom mod of the BIOS firmware, but I'm not so practice at flashing BIOS (it s a Phoenix one!).

I hope I posted in the right section!

Acer Travelmate 8481TG

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I am trying to replace the HDD in my Acer Travelmate 8481TG with an OCZ Vector SSD however for some reason the SSD is not being detected by the BIOS. It was recommended as a possible solution that a modified BIOS could help by having access to all the menus/settings. I would really appreciate it if someone could offer a modified BIOS for my Acer Travelmate 8481TG.

Wow, what an amazing site! I only ran across it because I was searching for a particular modified BIOS, but I'm definitely going to stick around...

Anyway, the BIOS I've been searching all over for - one for an ASUS P5WDG2 WS Professional that provides support For Core 2 Extreme QX9650 - was discussed and made available here years ago by 1234s282 in thread ASUS P5WDG2 WS Professional - Support For Core 2 Extreme QX9650 (Steppings C0, C1), but the download link's dead.

I'm not sure I need exactly the same mod -- was the stepping the OP requested for that BIOS mod due overclocking or what? I'm unfamiliar with CPU stepping -- can anyone offer advice on that?

Anyway, there are at least two of us searching for that modded BIOS so far this month that I know of, so if anyone has a copy, please let me know. I didn't want to PM 1234s282 because I'm a brand new user and I don't want to annoy him right from the get-go (let alone violate board etiquette), but I really NEED that BIOS ASAP!

(For the record, there is a French site, station-drivers.com, that posted BIOS v 1001 a few years ago here: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/asus...ws-pro.htm, but that link's dead too!)

HP ML350 G5 Server - Is this even a "branded" BIOS?

I was going to try and play with BIOS editing myself on this one as I doubt many would want to get involved with such an odd request. I'm not interested in SLIC modding or anything, I just want to try and get to some fan settings.

The problem is I am not even sure what kind of BIOS this is, for all I know it's a completely custom HP coded BIOS. I tried opening it with some of the tools provided but none of them recognize it. For kicks I opened in a hex editor and I didn't come across any clues (not that it would tell me anything anyways, I'm just grasping).

Even just knowing what kind of BIOS this is it would point me in the right direction.
