Edit System Manufacturer and Model

Hi,

I have a Lenovo 6073-A71 Desktop PC. It has a Pheonix BIOS. I have seen all different kinds of Mods. All I wanna do is to change the system manufacturer and model.

The reason is that I want to install an IBM HMC operating system which check for system hardware from BIOS. So I want to change the system manufacturer as IBM CORPORATION and Model as 7315C01.

Is there anyway I can achieve that?

Hi,

I have Acer Aspire 5940G, and I'd like to enable VT-x but in my bios, but not support this function in Insyde bios v1.07 version.
My CPU supported VT-x but not enabled in my bios (See on Intel product page: http://ark.intel.com/products/43122/).
Intel® VT-x with Extended Page Tables (EPT) Yes
Now I analyzed my notebook with AIDA64 2.85 and these are all details from my bios and CPU, too.

CPU Type: Mobile QuadCore Intel Core i7-720QM
BIOS Type: Insyde EFI
BIOS Version: V1.07 (latest bios: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFi...C=ACER&SC=PA_6 )
System BIOS Date: 06/01/2010

Unlock voltage,overclock options on AMI BIOS

Hi,i wanted to overclock my PC but i found that voltage,FSB and other oc settings cannot be modified,i've searched for a modded BIOS but i found nothing.

The PC is an Acer Power F6 and motherboard Acer E415SM
AMI BIOS ofcourse

Hey guys

would be possible to uncover or activate options for boot from USB and enabling big (or 48bit) LBA support?
Breaking my head for long time, tried PhoenixBios Editor, can find the LBA option but unfortunately not being able to build proper bios.
Can't find the usb option?
OR I'm really not to skilled for this.
SLIC mode goes without problems.

Need complete support for Intel Q9550S on ACER veriton M661

Hi All,

I have a ACER Q35T-AM mainboard with the latest bios running R01-C0 (04/10/09)
Bios is showing Intel Q9550 on POST and not Q9550S.
Do I need an BIOS tweak for complete CPU support or not ?

Are there any hidden options in this BIOS that I can use ?

hy my dear friends,

If i have posted in the wrong area please move to the correct area, thanks for understanding.

i have a problem with my laptop Asus X53Z with a motherboard K53Z which has an AMD A68M “Hudson-M3L” chipset that support Sata3 but I've tried 5 different versions of amd_sata drivers and none of them worked.

I have an Samsung 830 ssd 128g sata3 and the laptop it's sees as sata2

so I'm here and I beg your help to mod the bios and to see the correct the sata3 port.

I've made some research myself and my A68M “Hudson-M3L” - Brazos 2.0 support sata3 but in win7-64bits it's working only as sata2.

Down you have a text that I had made a copy from a website:
The AMD A68M
The new AMD chipset A68M “Hudson-M3L” A50M chipset replaces the “Hudson-M1″. Among the new features we are supporting 2 ports SATA-3 (with support for RAID 0/1), Gigabit LAN, 2 USB 3.0 ports and a native SD card reader integrated developments will help reduce the cost of the platform.

Like the chipset A50M, A68M chipset is made from the manufacturing process of TSMC 65nm and has a TDP of 4.7W (0.75W in standby).

I've also attached a photo with wikipedia about A68M “Hudson-M3L” - Brazos 2.0 and more to see

I've asked Asus help and they didn't know what chipset I have or if the laptop support upgrade for cpu(same name cpu); they will not help me, so you are my last hope.

Please any questions that you have or if you want anything that help you to make this right tell me.

I'm almost 100% that the problem is the bios.

I beg you to help me that my laptop to see my ssd how it should be.

i have HP probook 4530s
introduce about this notebook, this notebook is FreeDOS(Not include OS).
because FreeDOS product, should buy Windows.
But I know OEM Windows. and I using Slic Bios in Desktop computer.
Please help me.
I want modding bios. This notebook bios modding is very difficult for me.

Request ThinkPad E130 whitelist removal

This request is for my Lenovo ThinkPad E130 (3358-89G) 335889G

BIOS download location Version: 2.51

Error with Centrino Advanced-N 6235 card because not on whitelist.
The WWAN UMTS Ericsson H5321w FRU 60Y3297 works without any problems.

What can I also do to solve the problem?
How can I make a FTP Backup?

Acer Aspire X3300

Hi all,

I'm a (nearly) complete newbe in BIOS moding. I only changed some logos and SLIC years ago.

I have a desktop computer ACER X3300 with very bad memory transfert speed. I'm under 50% of the correct value. Horrible.
The same memory into another computer gives correct results.
I check that with MemTest86+ 4.20

So I flashed to the latest official BIOS.
Nothing better.

I tested ctrl+F1 to see hidden items, but nothing.

I used AMIBCP with the latest BIOS and see nothing hidden.
This BIOS ROM seems not having any settings for memory: no FSB, no voltage, nothing.
Crap.

So...
Is there a reachable way to add the usual settings ?
Or maybe using another BIOS in place of this one ? In the past this was okay but I don't know if current motherbords work correctly with a foreign BIOS.

Acer Aspire X3300
Motherboard = WMCP78M
CPU = AMD Athlon II X2 215 Processor
Memory = DDR3-12800 800 Mhz in dual channel, but recognised as DDR3-8500 533 Mhz by MemTest86+ (in this computer only. Same memory in another computer is okay)

I have around 4100 MB/S of memory transfert rate in double channel, and 3500 MB/S in single channel (8500 MB/S theorical in single channel).
